Do you often laugh with friends? Do you giggle (咯咯地笑) at jokes? If you do, that is great, because just as the saying goes: Laughter is the best medicine!
People start laughing from a young age. At around three months old, babies learn to laugh. Even babies that cannot see or hear can laugh. Laughter is a natural part of life! But why is it so important?
First of all, laughter is good for our body. When we laugh, our body takes in more oxygen (氧). Laughter also makes our body work out. Our heart, stomach, and even our shoulders work hard when we laugh! A good laugh can help you feel relaxed for up to 45 minutes. Over time, laughter helps our body to get stronger, fight off more diseases (疾病)!
Laughter also has many benefits for our mood. When we laugh, it makes us feel less stressed and things will not seem so bad. Scientists think that laughing or smiling often can cause our brain to make special chemicals, and the chemicals make us feel calm and happy.
But it is not always easy to laugh on our own. We are 30 times more likely to laugh when we are around others. Some people even join laughing groups. Although they force themselves to laugh at first, after hearing other people laugh, their laughter becomes real! Before long, the whole group of people is laughing hard.
The next time you feel unhappy, try thinking about something funny. Although you might not want to laugh when you are sad, doing so can make you feel better!

【导语】本文是一篇记叙文,讲述Leo因手指受伤放弃绘画,在朋友鼓励下尝试滑冰并取得成功,告诉读者只要保持积极勇敢,就能克服困难、收获成功。
【26题详解】
原文第一段“but an accident made his knuckles hurt... he had to give up this hobby.”直接交代Leo放弃绘画的原因是指关节受伤。

【29题详解】
第二段提到“Leo was really upset”,Leo被迫放弃爱好十分沮丧;第三段提到“He stood nervously on the rink.”,滑冰比赛前感到紧张;第三段提到“He felt very proud”,最后夺冠感到自豪,可梳理出情绪变化:沮丧—紧张—自豪。
【30题详解】
文章结尾点明主旨“but as long as we keep a positive attitude and are brave enough, we will get over the difficulties and achieve success.”:生活总有意外与挑战,只要保持积极、足够勇敢,就能克服困难获得成功,对应选项“保持积极、永远勇敢”。
