Pu’er tea is a special kind of tea from the beautiful mountains of Yunnan. The warm and rainy weather there is perfect for tea trees to grow.
Pu’er tea has a long history of almost two thousand years. Long ago, people in Yunnan began growing and making tea. They found that stored tea tasted even richer. To make it easier to carry, people pressed tea into cakes. These tea cakes were carried by horses to many places, as far as Tibet in China, even to other countries. This was called the Ancient Tea Horse Road.
There are two kinds of Pu’er tea — raw tea (生茶)and ripe tea (熟茶). Raw tea is naturally fermented (发酵), with a light color and a fresh taste. Ripe tea is fermented faster with people’s help. It has a darker color and a stronger taste. One piece of Pu’er tea can be stored for many years, and the longer it ages, the better it tastes.
Making Pu’er tea is fun and interesting. First, prepare tea tools and pour hot water over the leaves. The first brew (第一泡茶) wakes up the tea, and from the second brew, you can start tasting. Pu’er tea is not only delicious, but also good for your health.
Now, Pu’er tea is popular across the world. In many Chinese homes, it is kept ready to welcome guests. When you see the dark red tea and breathe in its special smell, you’ll feel the beauty of Chinese tea culture.

Plants can not move like animals, but they communicate with the environment through their own movements — a type of “plant body language.” Scientists have been amazed by these movements and created inventions (发明) according to them.
Everyone knows sunflowers turn to face the sun as it moves across the sky. This gave engineers the idea to create SmartFlower solar panels (太阳能电池板). They are in the shape of flowers, and each “petal” (花瓣) is a solar panel. SmartFlower follows the sun all day, which helps produce 40% more energy than normal solar panels. After dark or when there’s bad weather like heavy rain, the “petals” will close up.
Some plants, such as ivy (常春藤), can climb walls by using sticky feet. The feet help ivy stick to wood, stone, and other surfaces. After studying this plant, scientists created soft climbing robots. Though small, these robots are strong enough to move on different surfaces and turn corners. This allows them to work in hard-to-reach places.
Another amazing plant is the exploding cucumber (喷瓜). It has a cool trick. When touched, it shoots seeds up, to 6 meters away! Learning from this plant’s “body language”, medical researchers have developed a new way to send medicine to where it’s needed in the body, just as the plants shoot seeds to the right places.
Plants may seem quiet and still, but their special movements have inspired real-world inventions. Next time you see a plant, watch its “body language” carefully, and you might catch the next scientific invention!
36. How does the writer introduce the topic in the first sentence?
A. By telling a story about plants. B. By describing how animals move.
C. By giving an example of a plant. D. By comparing plants with animals.
37. Which plant invention helps save energy according to the text?
A. Soft climbing robots. B. Sticky feet from ivy.
C. SmartFlower solar panels. D. A new way to send medicine.
38. What does paragraph 3 mainly talk about?
A. Where hard-to-reach places are.
B. How ivy climbs walls with sticky feet.
C. Why soft climbing robots are small but strong.
D. How scientists invented climbing robots by studying ivy.
39. Which of the following best shows the structure of the text?

40. What can be the best title for the text?
