三、核心语法(结果状语从句 so...that/such...that)
(一)结果状语从句(必考易错点)
1. 定义
结果状语从句是用来描述某个动作或情况所带来的结果的从句。我们用 so ... that 或 such ... that 来表达“如此……以至于……”,that后面的从句就是前面行为或情况的结果。比如“范宽画得如此好,以至于年轻艺术家都想跟他学”——“画得好”是原因,“想跟他学”是结果,这就是结果状语从句的典型用法。
2. 详细用法
(1)so + 形容词/副词 + that
★ so + adj./adv. + that + 结果状语从句
这是最基础也是最常见的结构。so后面直接跟形容词或副词,用来强调程度,that引出这个程度所带来的结果。简单来说,就是“某个东西太怎么样了,以至于发生了什么”。记住——so后面一定是形容词或副词,不能跟名词!
常用形容词/副词:good, beautiful, vivid, peaceful, exciting, scared, well, hard, fast, quickly 等
例句1:Fan was so good at painting that young artists always asked him to teach them.
(范宽如此擅长绘画,以至于年轻艺术家总是请求他教他们画画。)
例句2:Everything in the picture was so vivid that the farmer was shocked.
(画中的一切都如此生动,以至于农夫震惊了。)
例句3:He made sculptures so well that other artists wanted to learn his skill.
(他的雕塑做得如此好,以至于其他艺术家都想学习他的技艺。)
(2)such a + 形容词 + 可数名词单数 + that
★ such a + adj. + 可数名词单数 + that + 结果状语从句
当你要强调的是一个名词短语(“一个怎样的……”)时,就要用such而不是so。关键区别在于:so修饰形容词/副词,such修饰名词。如果名词是可数名词单数,别忘了such后面要加a/an!很多同学就是在这里出错的。
例句1:Van Gogh is such a great painter that his many works are shown in the museum.
(梵高是如此伟大的画家,以至于他的许多作品都在博物馆展出。)
例句2:It was such a brilliant song that I bought the soundtrack.
(那是一首如此精彩的歌曲,以至于我买了原声带。)

(3)such + 形容词 + 可数名词复数/不可数名词 + that
★ such + adj. + 可数名词复数/不可数名词 + that + 结果状语从句
这个结构和上面的区别在于:名词是复数或不可数名词时,such后面不加a/an。很多同学会把such a + 单数名词的习惯带过来,在复数和不可数名词前也加a,这就错了。记住——只有可数名词单数才加a/an!
例句1:Tom has such wonderful painting skills that we all love his works.
(汤姆有如此出色的绘画技巧,以至于我们都喜欢他的作品。)(skills是复数,不加a)
例句2:He showed such great creativity that everyone was impressed.
(他展现了如此大的创造力,以至于每个人都印象深刻。)(creativity是不可数名词,不加a)
(4)so many/few + 可数名词复数 + that
★ so many/few + 可数名词复数 + that + 结果状语从句
这里有个特别的规则——虽然many和few后面跟的是名词,但它们前面要用so而不是such!这是固定搭配,many和few不能跟such搭配,必须用so。很多同学会写成such many...,这是错误的,一定要记住!
例句1:Wang Xizhi practised calligraphy for so many years that he became very famous.
(王羲之练习书法多年,以至于他变得非常出名。)
例句2:There are so few people interested in paper-cutting that it may disappear in the future.
(对剪纸感兴趣的人如此之少,以至于它将来可能会消失。)
(5)so much/little + 不可数名词 + that
★ so much/little + 不可数名词 + that + 结果状语从句
和上面many/few一样,much和little前面也要用so而不是such。这也是固定搭配。需要注意的是——这里的little意思是“少的”(表示数量少),而不是“小的”(那个little是形容词,可以用such修饰)。如果little表示“小”,前面用such;如果little表示“少”,前面用so。
例句1:There was so much dust on the painting frame that we couldn't see the picture clearly.
(画框上有如此多的灰尘,以至于我们看不清画了。)
例句2:She had so little art education that she wasn't suitable to be an art teacher.
(她接受的美术教育如此之少,以至于她不适合做美术老师。)(little表示“少”,用so)
(6)that的省略
在口语和非正式书面语中,that可以省略,意思不变。但在正式写作和考试中,建议保留that,这样结构更清晰。
例句:Fan was so good at painting (that) young artists always asked him to teach them.
(范宽如此擅长绘画,以至于年轻艺术家总是请求他教他们画画。)(口语中that可省略)
3. 易错点总结(必记)
易错点1:so和such的选用——so修饰形容词/副词,such修饰名词。判断的关键是看so/such后面跟的是什么!(必记)
❌ He is so a great painter that everyone admires him.
✅ He is such a great painter that everyone admires him.
(因为a great painter是名词短语,用such a,不能用so a。)
易错点2:many/much/few/little前面必须用so,不能用such。这是固定搭配,没有例外!(必记)
❌ He has such many paintings that he can't count them.
✅ He has so many paintings that he can't count them.
(many前面固定搭配so,不能用such。)
易错点3:可数名词单数用such a/an时,不要漏掉冠词a/an;但复数和不可数名词前不加a/an。(必记)
❌ It was such brilliant song that I bought it.(漏了a)
✅ It was such a brilliant song that I bought it.
易错点4:so...that和such...that的转换——so + adj. + a/an + n. = such a/an + adj. + n.,两种说法意思相同,但词序不同。(易错点)
例:He is so good a painter that everyone admires him. = He is such a good painter that everyone admires him.
(注意so good a painter这种结构比较正式,考试中常见的是such a good painter。)
易错点5:little的双重含义——当little表示“少”(数量少,修饰不可数名词)时,前面用so;当little表示“小”(年龄小、体积小,是形容词)时,前面用such。(易错点)
❌ She had such little art education that she couldn't teach.(little表示“少”,应用so)
✅ She had so little art education that she couldn't teach.(little表示“少”,用so)
但对比例句:She is such a little girl that everyone wants to protect her.(little表示“小”,用such a)

(一)结果状语从句(单元重点,必考易错点)
1. 定义
结果状语从句是用来描述某个动作或情况所带来的结果的从句。我们用 so ... that 或 such ... that 来表达“如此……以至于……”,that后面的从句就是前面行为或情况的结果。比如“范宽画得如此好,以至于年轻艺术家都想跟他学”——“画得好”是原因,“想跟他学”是结果,这就是结果状语从句的典型用法。
2. 详细用法
(1)so + 形容词/副词 + that
★ so + adj./adv. + that + 结果状语从句
这是最基础也是最常见的结构。so后面直接跟形容词或副词,用来强调程度,that引出这个程度所带来的结果。简单来说,就是“某个东西太怎么样了,以至于发生了什么”。记住——so后面一定是形容词或副词,不能跟名词!
常用形容词/副词:good, beautiful, vivid, peaceful, exciting, scared, well, hard, fast, quickly 等
例句1:Fan was __________ good at painting that young artists always asked him to teach them.
(范宽如此擅长绘画,以至于年轻艺术家总是请求他教他们画画。)
例句2:Everything in the picture was ___________ vivid that the farmer was shocked.

(2)such a + 形容词 + 可数名词单数 + that
★ such a + adj. + 可数名词单数 + that + 结果状语从句
当你要强调的是一个名词短语(“一个怎样的……”)时,就要用such而不是so。关键区别在于:so修饰形容词/副词,such修饰名词。如果名词是可数名词单数,别忘了such后面要加a/an!很多同学就是在这里出错的。

这个结构和上面的区别在于:名词是复数或不可数名词时,such后面不加a/an。很多同学会把such a + 单数名词的习惯带过来,在复数和不可数名词前也加a,这就错了。记住——只有可数名词单数才加a/an!

★ so many/few + 可数名词复数 + that + 结果状语从句
这里有个特别的规则——虽然many和few后面跟的是名词,但它们前面要用so而不是such!这是固定搭配,many和few不能跟such搭配,必须用so。很多同学会写成such many...,这是错误的,一定要记住!

(5)so much/little + 不可数名词 + that
★ so much/little + 不可数名词 + that + 结果状语从句
和上面many/few一样,much和little前面也要用so而不是such。这也是固定搭配。需要注意的是——这里的little意思是“少的”(表示数量少),而不是“小的”(那个little是形容词,可以用such修饰)。如果little表示“小”,前面用such;如果little表示“少”,前面用so。

(画框上有如此多的灰尘,以至于我们看不清画了。)

(6)that的省略
在口语和非正式书面语中,that可以省略,意思不变。但在正式写作和考试中,建议保留that,这样结构更清晰。

3. 易错点总结(必记)
易错点1:so和such的选用——so修饰形容词/副词,such修饰名词。判断的关键是看so/such后面跟的是什么!(必记)

(因为a great painter是名词短语,用such a,不能用so a。)
易错点2:many/much/few/little前面必须用so,不能用such。这是固定搭配,没有例外!(必记)
