So when I received an email from a friend about a race benefiting cancer research, I ignored it. It seemed too close to the heart, as cancer was the disease that had taken my mother away from me. But something about my friend’s words — “I can help organize the whole thing” — stuck with me. I felt obliged (有义务的) to agree. In the weeks to come, I managed to re-enter the world of the living. I checked our team’s website daily, feeling proud each time a donation ticked up our total. I knew my mom would have wanted it that way. She was the type who never got defeated. It was this very spirit that helped me get by. When the race ended, I noticed the runners all had one thing in common: There were big smiles on their faces. They made it look so rewarding and effortless. I wanted in. So I enrolled in another race two months later. Considering I could barely run a mile, it was ambitious. But my friend and I made a training plan so I wouldn’t come in last. I followed it religiously and didn’t let anything get in my way. Running up and down the city’s hills, I was flooded with memories. I had lived there after college and my mother had visited often. I passed Bloomingdale’s, recalling the time she and I had gotten into a screaming argument there. I was about to beat myself up when I remembered what Mom had said after her diagnosis of cancer. “Jane, I don’t want you to feel guilty about anything.” Her paper-thin hands had held me tightly. A weight lifted from my shoulders. When the race day arrived, I gave it my all for my mom and for all she had taught me and continued to teach me. As I ran, whenever I felt like slowing down, I pictured her cheering me on. Crossing the finish line, I was filled with her love and a sense of peace. 24.Why did the author ignore the email in the beginning? A.She felt it hard to finish the race. B.She had no time to join in the event. C.She thought the research meaningless. D.She was reminded of her mother’s death. 25.What mainly helped the author recover from her mom’s death? A.The company of her friends. B.The inspiration from her mom. C.The pleasure in going for a run. D.The success in organizing an event. 26.Which of the words can best describe the author’s mom? A.Considerate and polite. B.Brave and humorous. C.Strong-willed and caring. D.Outgoing and patient. 27.What can we infer about the author from the passage? A.She healed via running. B.She was good at running. C.She won the race. D.She still feels guilty. C In modern daily life, people fill almost every spare moment with endless short videos and quick online news. Such easy access to fast entertainment has quietly changed people’s reading habits, leaving traditional literary works far less favored than they once were. Many ordinary people have formed a fixed belief that novels and poems serve little practical purpose, unable to solve real-life troubles or bring immediate benefits, so they choose to stay away from serious reading completely. However, this view is one-sided. Literature is actually an irreplaceable treasure that benefits people greatly in the long run. When one spends time staying with literary works, they are no longer limited to their own life experience. Between the lines, they can quietly experience the joy and sorrow of characters living in different surroundings and times. This light emotional experience gradually shapes one’s inner sensitivity, allowing individuals to view life events from more than one angle instead of sticking to their own narrow understanding alone. Such inner growth can hardly be gained from those fast-paced online contents designed only for instant amusement. People are easily influenced by popular online views which are usually simple and one-sided, leaving little space for personal thought. Literary creation behaves quite differently. It seldom provides definite answers to complex life problems, nor does it force readers to accept fixed opinions. Instead, it presents complicated life situations and inner conflicts, pushing readers to sort out hidden relations, observe human nature, and form their own judgments independently. Some old literary works have survived hundreds of years and still attract modern readers. Behind their lasting attraction lie the shared human feelings and life puzzles that never change with time. Modern readers may find their own confusion and expectation reflected in those classic lines, feeling closely connected with strangers from distant generations. It is improper to regard literature as nothing more than a way to kill time. Its value lies in polishing people’s inner world, shaping their way of thinking, and helping them keep a clear mind in the chaos of the noisy flow of modern information. 28.What is the author’s major concern? A.Fast entertainment is changing people’s spare time. B.People ignore the long-term value of literary reading. C.Online opinions limit people’s independent thinking. D.Modern readers lose interest in short online entertainment. 29.How does literary reading promote people’s inner growth? A.By improving people’s inner feelings and views of life. B.By helping readers form independent judgments quickly. C.By freeing people from various real-life limitations. D.By offering different new ways to solve personal troubles. 30.Why can classic literary works attract modern readers? A.They exactly record real historical events. B.They provide fixed views on human nature. C.They completely set people free from modern noise. D.They carry everlasting human feelings and puzzles. 31.What is the author’s attitude towards people’s wrong idea against literature? A.Fully understanding. B.Strongly disapproving. C.Completely confused. D.Slightly doubtful. D As basalt (玄武岩) naturally weathers, it captures CO2, converting it into bicarbonate ions (碳酸氢根离子) in the water, which cannot reenter the atmosphere. Grinding and spreading basalt on farmlands, an approach known as enhanced rock weathering (ERW), has recently gathered steam. But it also has caused polarized viewpoints in terms of trapping CO2 and boosting crop yields. While mining, crushing and transporting these rocks release CO2, those emissions pale in comparison to the amount of CO2 that the rock stores away more permanently. It could remove up to two billion metric tons of CO2 from the air every year were ERW to be scaled up globally, according to David Beerling, a biochemist at the University of Sheffield in England. As great as this would sound, compared with some costly and ecosystem-unfriendly ways, such as CO2-pulling machinery and iron spread across the sea floor to enhance the growth of algae that absorb CO2, some scientists just frown on this idea. Lethal Page had an unpromising result after he conducted an experiment in Malaysia where basalt dust was spread across parts of a palm oil plantation. The dark soil contains more decaying organic matter and more clay than the soil elsewhere. Those charged materials can cling on to the breakdown products of basalt, keeping them from changing CO2 into bicarbonate. “There is a delay in capturing carbon dioxide, which may take somewhere between 5 and 15 years,” Lethal says. Acidity is another complicating factor, according to a trial on tropical sugarcane fields in northeastern Australia. The soil there is acidic, so it can potentially consume the basalt before it has a chance to react with CO2. Initial results show that CO2 capture rates are extremely low. Paul Nelson, a soil scientist at James Cook University who helped lead the study, says it is impossible to fix the problem just by neutralizing acidic soil before adding basalt because in wet tropical areas the acidity extends many meters down, to the bedrock. “ERW is a potentially valuable opportunity to remove CO2, but the aforementioned factors definitely impact its effect, and if companies cut corners, like applying the wrong type of rock or spreading it too thinly, ERW could blow up on the launch pad,” Paul cautions. 32.What is an important feature of basalt? A.It tends to be enveloped by steam. B.It makes for high output of crops. C.It is a useful indicator for weather. D.It disarms a greenhouse gas for good. 33.Why did the Malaysian experiment fall short? A.The soil consumed basalt too slowly. B.Organic matter blocked carbon conversion. C.Clay particles sped up the weathering. D.Bicarbonate formed faster than expected. 34.What is Paul Nelson’s attitude to treating acidic soil before using basalt? A.Enthusiastic. B.Dismissive. C.Reserved. D.Unbiased. 35.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage? A. B. C. D. For thousands of years, fire has been a regular natural process in Australia, shaping the landscape and impacting the evolution (进化) of its species. 36 That is to say, fire has become a fundamental ecological force. Australia’s tendency for severe bush fires is a combination of climate, landscape, and ignition sources. The continent is naturally hot and dry. 37 Thus, forests there are exceptionally flammable (易燃的). Strong winds also play a part, carrying burning pieces long distances to start new fires far ahead of the main front. 38 Many of the native plants, particularly the dominant eucalyptus forests, are naturally flammable. Eucalyptus trees are rich in volatile (挥发的) oils that can turn into gas at high temperatures, creating a highly flammable atmosphere. These trees also drop large amounts of bark and leaves, which build up on the forest floor as a thick layer of fuel. The final element is the source that starts bush fires. Bush fires can start from natural causes, with lightning strikes being the most common during dry thunderstorms. 39 These can range from accidental events like small burning pieces from machinery or fallen power lines, to carelessly managed campfires, and also include acts of setting fires on purpose. The ecological harm of severe bush fires is huge, affecting wildlife, plant life, and the broader environment. For animals, the immediate impact is often deadly, as fast-moving fires endanger mobile species. The effects can be disastrous, as survivors face a landscape lacking food and shelter. 40 A.Australia has a high forest coverage rate. B.Australian plants and animals can survive fires. C.Fire has long been part of Australia’s environment. D.That means they are at risk of hunger and being hunted. E.This is often worsened by climatic cycles of low rainfall. F.Human activities are the other major cause of many fires. G.The nature of the Australian bush itself helps fires spread. In 2008, while studying music at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, I began hearing a constant noise in my left ear. My world, once filled with the joy of music and 41 of being a musician, started to unravel (崩塌). My saxophone (萨克斯管) became an 42 loud noise; my ears hurt whenever I played. After weeks of 43 , a doctor told me that I would eventually become deaf or need an operation. I was 21, and 44 about my future, so I sought a second opinion. This technique reflects 57 ancient craftsmen discovered through continuous refinement and trial and error. The findings from the Hemudu culture site in the 1970s, 58 (date) back about 7,000 years and situated in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, reveal the earliest examples of mortise and tension usage. Of course, this structural technique is not unique 59 China. Evidence of similar mortise and tension construction has also been found in Germany and Egypt. The application of the mortise and tenon structure is extremely extensive, including connections between surfaces, points, 60 the combinations of components. Through the complicated interlock of convex and concave (凸凹的) elements, it forms 61 inseparable and remarkably stable wooden structure. Besides, mechanical principles 62 (adopt) by Chinese people then in mortise-and-tenon architecture, with their practices adjusted based on local conditions. 63 (couple) with the rigidity, load-bearing capacity, and energy-absorbing properties of wood, traditional Chinese wooden constructions exhibit a certain degree of earthquake 64 (resist). The design and the integration of various carving techniques have continuously improved to enhance the 65 (art) appeal of these joints. Students’ Holiday Travel Choices ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第二节 (满分 25 分) 67. Last semester, our school launched a “Green Innovation Challenge” to encourage students to turn waste into useful creations. My classmates and I decided to take part in it, aiming to design a practical product using recycled materials. The winner would not only get a prize but also see their work displayed in the school hall. At first, we were stuck for ideas. We brainstormed everything from paper crafts to bottle banks, but none felt truly innovative. One afternoon, while cleaning the classroom, we noticed piles of empty plastic bottles and a corner where the school’s potted plants often died due to lack of sunlight and space. Suddenly, an idea clicked: we could build a vertical (垂直的) garden using plastic bottles. It would save space, recycle waste, and bring greenery to the dull wall. We set to work immediately. We collected hundreds of bottles, cut them open, and painted them in bright colors. We planned to hang them with thin cotton strings on the wall, fill them with soil, and plant small flowers. But halfway through, disaster struck. When we tested the first row, the strings snapped under the weight of wet soil, and the bottles crashed to the ground. What’s worse, some of the paint fell off, and the soil spilled everywhere. We felt completely discouraged. We had spent weeks on this, and now it seemed our idea was falling apart. That night, while sitting in the school library, I noticed the old wooden bookshelves held heavy books with metal supports. I also saw how the library’s flower pots had small holes at the bottom to release water. Inspired by these details, I had a sudden new plan. The next day, I shared my thoughts with my teammates. My deskmate still suggested giving up, but I reminded everyone of the challenge slogan: “Innovation is solving problems, not avoiding them.” We refused to quit and decided to improve our design based on the new inspiration. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On the day of the competition, our vertical garden became the star of the show. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 / 25 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2027年高考一轮复习阶段性检测卷02(江苏卷) 英语·全解全析 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 注意,听力部分答题时请先将答案标在试卷上,听力部分结束前你将有两分钟的时间将答案转涂到答题上。 1. 根据第一段“It was a week after my mom had passed away, and I didn’t know how to go on with life. It was this very spirit that helped me get by.(她是一个从不服输的人,正是这种精神支撑着我走了出来)”可知,母亲坚韧不屈的精神激励着作者,帮助她从丧母的悲痛中走出来。 26. 根据第二段中的“She was the type who never got defeated.(她是那种从不认输的人)”可知母亲意志坚强;根据第六段中的“Jane, I don’t want you to feel guilty about anything.(简,我不希望你为任何事感到内疚)”可知母亲非常体贴、关心女儿的感受。 通读全文,结合最后一段“Crossing the finish line, I was filled with her love and a sense of peace.(冲过终点线时,我满心都是母亲的爱,内心无比平静)”可知,作者通过跑步排解悲伤、治愈了内心的伤痛。 C In modern daily life, people fill almost every spare moment with endless short videos and quick online news. 根据第一段的描述“In modern daily life, people fill almost every spare moment with endless short videos and quick online news. Such easy access to fast entertainment has quietly changed people’s reading habits, leaving traditional literary works far less favored than they once were. (在现代日常生活中,人们几乎将每一刻空闲时间都用来观看无穷无尽的短视频和快速浏览网络新闻。这种便捷的即时娱乐方式悄然改变了人们的阅读习惯,使得传统文学作品远不如以往受欢迎。)”以及第二段的“Many ordinary people have formed a fixed belief that novels and poems serve little practical purpose, unable to solve real-life troubles or bring immediate benefits, so they choose to stay away from serious reading completely. However, this view is one-sided. Literature is actually an irreplaceable treasure that benefits people greatly in the long run. (许多普通人认为小说和诗歌几乎没有实际用途,无法解决现实生活中的问题,也无法带来即时利益,因此完全选择远离严肃阅读。然而,这种观点是片面的。文学实际上是一种不可替代的宝贵财富,从长远来看能给人带来巨大益处。)”可知,作者主要担忧的是人们忽视了文学阅读的长期价值。 29.细节理解题。根据第四段的句子“This light emotional experience gradually shapes one's inner sensitivity, allowing individuals to view life events from more than one angle instead of sticking to their own narrow understanding alone. (这种轻微的情感体验逐渐塑造一个人内心的敏感性,使个人能够从多个角度看待生活事件,而不是只坚持自己狭隘的理解。)”可知,文学阅读通过提升人们的内心感受和对生活的看法来促进内在成长。 30.细节理解题。根据第六段的句子“Behind their lasting attraction lie the shared human feelings and life puzzles that never change with time. (它们持久吸引力的背后是不随时间变化的共同人类情感和生活谜题。)”可知,经典文学作品能吸引现代读者是因为它们承载着永恒的人类情感和谜题。 31.推理判断题。根据第二段的句子“However, this view is one-sided. Literature is actually an irreplaceable treasure that benefits people greatly in the long run. (然而,这种观点是片面的。文学实际上是一种不可替代的财富,从长远来看,它给人们带来了巨大的好处。)”以及最后一段的句子“It is improper to regard literature as nothing more than a way to kill time. (将文学仅仅视为消磨时间的方式是不恰当的。)”可知,作者对人们否定文学价值的错误观点持强烈的反对态度。 D As basalt (玄武岩) naturally weathers, it captures CO2, converting it into bicarbonate ions (碳酸氢根离子) in the water, which cannot reenter the atmosphere. 根据第一段中“As basalt (玄武岩) naturally weathers, it captures CO2, converting it into bicarbonate ions (碳酸氢根离子) in the water, which cannot reenter the atmosphere.( 随着玄武岩自然风化,它会捕获二氧化碳,并将其转化为水中的碳酸氢根离子,这些离子无法再次进入大气。)” 根据第三段中“The dark soil contains more decaying organic matter and more clay than the soil elsewhere. Those charged materials can cling on to the breakdown products of basalt, keeping them from changing CO2 into bicarbonate.( 这种暗色土壤中含有的腐烂有机物以及黏土都比其他地方的土壤要多。这些带电物质能够附着在玄武岩的分解产物上,从而阻止其将二氧化碳转化为碳酸氢盐。)”可知,马来西亚实验失败的直接原因是土壤中大量的腐殖质和黏土颗粒会吸附玄武岩的分解产物,阻断了 CO₂向碳酸氢根的转化过程。 34.推理判断题。根据第四段中“Paul Nelson, a soil scientist at James Cook University who helped lead the study, says it is impossible to fix the problem just by neutralizing acidic soil before adding basalt because in wet tropical areas the acidity extends many meters down, to the bedrock.( 詹姆斯·库克大学的土壤科学家保罗·尼尔森协助领导了这项研究,他表示,仅仅通过在添加玄武岩之前中和酸性土壤来解决这个问题是不可能的,因为在潮湿的热带地区,酸性会向下延伸数米,直至到达基岩。)” For thousands of years, fire has been a regular natural process in Australia, shaping the landscape and impacting the evolution (进化) of its species. 上文“For thousands of years, fire has been a regular natural process in Australia, shaping the landscape and impacting the evolution of its species.(数千年来,火灾一直是澳大利亚的一个常规自然过程,塑造了景观,影响了物种的进化)”说明火灾在澳大利亚长期存在并深刻影响生态演化。下文“That is to say, fire has become a fundamental ecological force.(也就是说,火已经成为一种基本的生态力量)”进一步解释说明,即火已成为一种基本的生态力量。 C选项中的“long been part of” 与前文“for thousands of years”相呼应。 37.上文“The continent is naturally hot and dry.(这片大陆自然炎热干燥)”说明澳大利亚气候炎热干燥。下文“Thus, forests there are exceptionally flammable (易燃的).(因此,那里的森林非常易燃)”用thus表因果,说明因此森林极易燃烧。 38.下文“Many of the native plants, particularly the dominant eucalyptus forests, are naturally flammable.(许多本土植物,特别是占主导地位的桉树林,天生易燃)”说明澳大利亚本土植被本身易燃。 G 项中的“the nature of the Australian bush”统领后文桉树的具体例子。 39.上文“Bush fires can start from natural causes, with lightning strikes being the most common during dry thunderstorms.(丛林大火可能是由自然原因引起的,在干燥的雷暴期间,雷击是最常见的)”说明自然因素是起火原因之一。空处后文“These can range from accidental events like small burning pieces from machinery or fallen power lines, to carelessly managed campfires, and also include acts of setting fires on purpose.(这些事件可能包括意外事件,如机器或掉落的电线上的小碎片燃烧,也可能是管理不善的营火,还包括故意纵火的行为)”列举的都是人为原因。 F项中的“the other major cause”与前文“natural causes”形成逻辑上的并列补充。 40.上文“The effects can be disastrous, as survivors face a landscape lacking food and shelter.(这些影响可能是灾难性的,因为幸存者面临着缺乏食物和住所的局面)”说明幸存动物面临生存环境恶化。 D项中的they指代前文的“survivors”, hunger对应“lacking food”, “being hunted”对应“lacking shelter”。 In 2008, while studying music at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, I began hearing a constant noise in my left ear. 56.that 57.what 58.dating 59.to 60.and 61.an 62.were adopted 63.Coupled 64.resistance 65.artistic 【导语】文章主要介绍中国古建筑核心榫卯结构,包括其起源、使用范围、构造原理、力学优势与艺术价值。 be unique to是固定短语,意为“是……独有的”。 60. Students’ Holiday Travel Choices ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】    Students’ Holiday Travel Choices Recently, our school’s English newspaper conducted a survey among Senior 3 students on their post-gaokao travel plans. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: We refused to quit and decided to improve our design based on the new inspiration. We had a heated discussion right away and shared our different opinions. Some classmates were still worried about possible failure, but we encouraged each other to face the difficulty bravely. We agreed to draw lessons from what we had observed in the library and make proper changes to our design. We believed we could find a good way to fix the problem as long as we worked together patiently. On the day of the competition, our vertical garden became the star of the show. Our improved design turned out to be steady and beautiful, winning high praise from all the judges. They spoke highly of our creativity and the spirit of never giving up. Finally, we won the first prize and our work was displayed in the school hall. This meaningful experience made us realize that innovation comes from careful observation and teamwork. 词汇激活: 行为类 ① 勇敢面对困难:face the difficulty bravely/confront the challenge boldly ② 解决问题:fix the problem/tackle the issue 情绪类 ① 担心:be worried about/be concerned about ② 赞扬:speak highly of/applaud/think highly of 【点睛】【高分句型1】We agreed to draw lessons from what we had observed in the library and make proper changes to our design.(运用了what引导的宾语从句) 【高分句型2】We believed we could find a good way to fix the problem as long as we worked together patiently.(运用了省略了连接词that的宾语从句和as long as引导的条件状语从句) 1 / 25 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
