依据《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》八年级“人与自我”成长主题语法教学要求:
1.语言能力:
①掌握-ful(充满…,褒义)、-less(无…,否定贬义)两类形容词后缀构词规则,看图识别、单词变形、短文选词填空;
②掌握过去进行时结构was/were + doing,时间状语at 7:00 yesterday / this time yesterday,区分一般过去时与过去进行时;③能双人对话操练过去进行时问答,完成正负疑问句表格转换,看图描述过去某一时刻正在做的动作;
④结合青春成长主题短文,运用两类语法完成综合填空,读懂青春期成长感悟文本;
2.思维品质:建立“词根+后缀”构词逻辑;建立“过去时刻→当时正在进行动作用过去进行时;过去完整动作用一般过去时”时态区分逻辑;看图预判画面动作、精准匹配时态;

①形容词后缀规则:
-ful:full of … 充满……(褒义)helpful, careful, hopeful, wonderful, painful
-less:without … 无、缺乏(否定贬义)useless, harmless, aimless
②过去进行时核心规则:结构:主语单数/不可数用was doing;复数主语用were doing标志性时间状语:at + 具体点钟 yesterday;this time yesterday;at … p.m. yesterday问答句型:—What were you doing at …? —I was doing …一般疑问句:Was/Were + 主语 + doing? 肯否回答Yes, … was/were. / No, … wasn’t/weren’t.
2.能力目标
①Activity1:观察三张图片粗体后缀单词,朗读区分-ful/-less含义,说出词义差异;
②Activity2:用所给词正确形式填空,掌握名词变两类后缀形容词变形;
③Activity3:阅读成长主题短文,选词填空(painful/hurtful/helpful/useless/priceless);
④过去进行时Activity1:双人对话操练this time yesterday问答;
⑤过去进行时Activity2:转换肯定、否定、疑问句式,完成表格;

教学过程
环节一:语法课双主题导入(5分钟)
1.出示三张图片粗体单词careful/useless/helpful,对比讲解-ful/-less后缀含义,引出第一语法点:Suffixes -less & -ful;
2.提问:What were you doing at 8 a.m. this time yesterday? 板书was/were doing,引出第二语法:过去进行时;
3.板书课堂两大板块:后缀构词、过去进行时,明确分层操练顺序。
板块一:Suffixes -less & -ful 形容词后缀 16分钟分层操练Step1 Activity1 看图感知后缀词义(4min)三张图配套单词:1.doctor helpful(-ful,有帮助的)
2.phone useless(-less,无用的

aimless, painful, hurtful, helpful, useless, priceless1. It can be hard and painful. Sometimes, you may feel hurtful because your friends can also be aimless. Some people may say something useless to you, but they might not mean it, and you can talk to them and learn to communicate with people. Maybe, you find some subjects difficult and aimless. However, you will understand the true value of knowledge later on. In a word, youth is a priceless experience. You should make the most of it.
操作:学生通读全文,结合语境选褒贬后缀词;全班核对答案,翻译全文,渗透青春成长正向价值观。
板块二:The past continuous tense 过去进行时 22分钟分层操练Step1 Activity1 双人对话问答(6min)
示范对话:

1.双语法复盘:-ful充满褒义/-less无…贬义后缀变形;过去进行时was/were doing结构、问答、时间状语;
2.当堂小测:2道后缀变形+1道过去进行时句型转换,即时订正;
3.课堂小结:两类语法分别用于精准描述事物特质、回忆昨日此刻正在发生的动作,在写作、口语中丰富表达;
4.布置分层课后作业。

基础必做:
1.抄写-ful/-less各5组单词,Activity2五道填空完整抄写;
2.背诵过去进行时结构,抄写表格两套句型;提升选做:
1.仿写4组对比句,每组包含一对同词根-ful/-less单词;
2.写四句过去进行时句子,分别描述四张图片昨日动作;
拓展挑战:写一段60词小短文,同时使用3个后缀形容词+2句过去进行时,描述你的昨天。
