第四部分 书面表达(第二节,读后续写)
参考范文:
When we finally arrived at the campsite, I stepped out of the car with a long face. My phone showed no signal, and I felt like I was cut off from the world. Dad noticed my disappointment and said, "This is a chance to enjoy nature." I reluctantly followed them, setting up the tent. As I walked around, I began to notice the beauty of the forest. The tall trees and the sound of birds made me feel a bit better. Maybe this trip wouldn't be so bad after all.
The next morning I was woken up by soft rays of the sun. I opened my eyes and saw the golden light filtering through the trees. The air was fresh, and I felt a sense of peace. Dad was already up, cooking breakfast. We sat around the fire, sharing stories and laughing. I realized that without my phone, I was more connected to my family and nature. This trip taught me that sometimes, disconnecting can help us reconnect with what truly matters.
情感递进 :从"with a long face""disappointment"到"felt a bit better""sense of peace",再到"realized"的深刻感悟,情感变化自然合理,体现了"被迫参与→逐渐接受→最终感悟"的成长过程。
语言亮点 :
时间状语从句:"As I walked around, I began to notice..."
宾语从句:"I realized that without my phone, I was more connected..."
感官描写:"golden light filtering through the trees""The air was fresh"增强了画面感。
比喻与对比:"cut off from the world"与"reconnect with what truly matters"形成呼应。
复合句运用:"I felt like I was cut off from the world"中like引导宾语从句,表达自然流畅。
主题呼应 :结尾"This trip taught me that sometimes, disconnecting can help us reconnect with what truly matters."既点明了主人公的成长与领悟,也与前文"手机成瘾→被迫离网→重新连接自然与亲情"的故事主线形成完整闭环,深化了"放下电子设备、珍惜眼前人与事"的主题。

On 14 December, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell won this year's Strictly Come Dancing. McCausland, who is 47 years old, lost his eyesight at the age of 22 because of an eye disease. He studied software engineering at university, but being blind meant he had to change jobs. He became a comedian and then worked in TV.
This year, he agreed to appear on Strictly Come Dancing following encouragement from friends and family. As the first blind person to compete on the show, he said, "I honestly thought I could go out in the first week or two."
Each week, McCausland learned new dance routines with his professional dancer partner, Buswell. McCausland said dancing with Buswell felt like being the bendy Spider-Man toy he had when he was a child, because "she was putting me in whatever shape she wanted".
In the final, McCausland was up against three other celebrities. Each had to perform three dances. One of McCausland and Buswell's dances features a short period with the light out to recreate what it is like to be blind, and the pair received top marks in one of their performances. The judges said McCausland was "the most extraordinary person", "a role model", and "a light that shines for all to see".
Following a public vote, McCausland and Buswell were named winners of the contest. McCausland said, "This is for everyone out there that thought or got told they couldn't do something." He added, "I have learned that I am more capable than I thought I was."
Steven Morris, who is deaf and blind, and works for the charity Sense, said, "Disabled people make up nearly a quarter of the population. Hopefully, Chris's success will lead to more disabled people being included in the biggest TV shows."
24. What does McCausland's words mean in paragraph 2?
A. He wasn't very interested in dancing.
B. He didn't have confidence in his partner.
C. He wouldn't make it through to the end.
D. He would stand out among the competitors.
25. What did McCausland imply by mentioning the "Spider-Man toy"?
A. Spider-man gave him power.
B. The judges admired superheroes.
C. Buswell fully directed his moves.
D. McCausland missed his childhood.
26. Why was the light out in McCausland's performance?
A. To cover the dancer's error.
B. To catch the judges' attention.
C. To add an artistic atmosphere.
D. To show how the blind feel.
27. What message did McCausland want to convey?
A. Challenge your limits. B. Pity the disabled more.
C. Value victory most. D. Believe in your partner.

DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) startup, made headlines worldwide after it topped app download charts.
Its popularity and potential rattled investors of chip (芯片) giants like Nvidia, as it decreased their market value by billions of dollars — and called into question whether American firms would dominate the booming AI market, as many assumed they would.
In recent years, AI has become best known as the tech behind chatbots such as ChatGPT — and DeepSeek — also known as generative AI. These programs learn from huge amounts of data, including online text and images, to be able to make new content.
DeepSeek is reportedly as powerful as ChatGPT in tasks including mathematics and coding. Like ChatGPT, it is a "reasoning" model. These models produce responses, simulating (模拟) how humans reason through problems or ideas.
DeepSeek says it has been able to do this cheaply — researchers behind it claim it cost $6 million to train, a small part of the "over $100 million" mentioned by OpenAI boss Sam Altman when discussing ChatGPT. It can also minimize the impact of US restrictions on the most powerful chips reaching China.
The founder of DeepSeek reportedly built up a store of Nvidia A100 chips, which have been banned from export to China since September 2022. Some experts believe he paired these chips with cheaper, less complex ones — ending up with a much more efficient process.
DeepSeek also uses less memory than its opponents, eventually reducing the cost to perform tasks for users. That combination of performance and lower cost helped DeepSeek's AI assistant become the most-downloaded free app on Apple's App Store when it was released in the US.
28. What does the underlined word "rattled" in paragraph 2 probably mean?
A. Encouraged. B. Upset. C. Controlled. D. Excited.
29. What key advantage does DeepSeek hold over its competitors?
A. Superior data processing speed.
B. Advanced human-like reasoning ability.
C. Remarkably lower training and operational costs.
D. Complete independence from US chip restrictions.
30. How did DeepSeek overcome chip limitations?
A. By making simpler chips.
B. By exporting A100 chips.
C. By mixing A100 with cheaper chips.
D. By banning advanced chips.
31. Which of the following best summarizes DeepSeek's impact on the AI industry?
A. Expensive training is key to strong AI.
B. Small models can defeat larger ones.
C. U.S. firms remain AI leaders.
D. Low-cost innovation reshapes AI competition.

How should water flow through fields? What directions and widths are appropriate for ridge (田埂) planting? Where should more fertilizer be applied, and where should less be applied? These once-general farming questions have now become precise, science-guided considerations in China's efforts to protect its valuable farmland.
The black soil in the northeastern provinces is often called the "giant panda of cultivated land" due to its scarcity (稀缺) and fertility. Over the years, it has suffered varying degrees of degradation, mainly due to over-exploitation (过度开发) and climate change. Scientists are now developing tailored cultivation techniques and conservation measures to safeguard food security and ecological balance there.
To address this, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in collaboration with other relevant authorities, launched the "Black Soil Granary" program in 2021. The initiative aims to provide scientific and technological support to control soil degradation and promote modern agricultural practices.
So far, scientists have created a comprehensive solution that enables a systematic understanding of the black soil. This includes detailed diagnostics, customized recommendations, and technical treatments. Integrating remote sensing, satellite positioning, and artificial intelligence, researchers have even developed an advanced mobile app that connects with smart agricultural machinery. This app provides farmers with real-time information on soil composition, weather conditions, crop growth, natural disasters, and yield forecasts. It also offers precise farming guidance, including how to fertilize, irrigate, sow seeds, and spray pesticides. The app can generate detailed fertilization maps and transmit them directly to intelligent machines, which then adjust fertilizer quantities on the go, enhancing efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
The results have been significant. Fertilizer use has dropped by 5 to 15 percent, while yields have risen by 5.48 to 14.2 percent. On nine pilot farms, grain production has increased by 5 to 22 percent, and soil erosion has been reduced by 70 percent.
32. Why is the black soil called the "giant panda of cultivated land"?
A. Because it is vital and dear.
B. Because it is rare and fertile.
C. Because it is rich and abundant.
D. Because it is fragile and endangered.
33.What does the underlined word "degradation" probably mean?
A. Lessening. B. Worsening.
C. Desertification. D. Pollution.
34. What does the author try to illustrate by listing the figures in the last paragraph?
A. Effective guidance. B. Successful preservation.
C. Impressive improvements. D. Remarkable policies.
35. What would be the best title for the text?
A. Sci-tech methods tailored for black soil
B. Natural forces causing black soil decline
C. Smart farming apps designed for black soil
D. Protection measures boosting black soil yield

阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
A reader has recently asked me how to face the uncertainty about the future without fear. It's a great question because the fear visits us all. 36 Worse still, it can keep us holding onto things that are hurting us.
But why does uncertainty scare us in the first place? The answer is we are comfortable in the cocoon (茧) we've built up — our possessions and people and places that we know well. 37 But the problem is not changes themselves but dealing with them. If you're good at fighting changes, no uncertainty will frighten you. Here is what works for me.
38 New things can be scary because we may fall on our faces. So try something with no real risk, like learning to balance on a rope close to the ground or listening to a language-learning podcast. It is not as scary but will still boost your confidence in trying new things.
Prepare a change toolset. Learn how to cope with changes, whatever they are. Develop skills with which you can get a job or start a new business. Have friends and family you can depend on. 39 A toolset like this will give you confidence to handle almost all changes.
When you mess up, don't see it as painful failure. The word "failure" is associated with negative things. Instead, start to look at "messing up" positively. 40
Try the above tips, and you will learn to embrace change and create new things that you have been afraid of creating.
A. Add thrilling adventures to your daily life.
B. Have a go at something new, but small and safe.
C. But there is no need to worry about what hasn't come.
D. See it as the only way to learn, advance, and succeed.
E. Losing this familiar environment in life changes is scary.
F. If left undealt with, it can stop us from doing great things.
G. Learn ways to bond with strangers and survive on little.

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
A couple of months before I started high school, my parents gave me the greatest gift any teenage boy would ask for: a cell phone. I lived on that phone all summer. I always texted my friends, even at night. And I paid no attention to the people and things around myself. Being connected to the Internet was more important than being present.
So, you can imagine my displeasure when the time came for our family vacation that year. It was not the Disneyland trip or beach vacation that I had been hoping for. "This year," my dad said, "we'll be doing something special, something I used to do with my dad when I was a kid. We're going camping in the forest!"
His excitement was met with a disappointed sigh, which was my communication style at that age. But he had made the decision and would not change his mind. I comforted myself by telling myself that it was still a vacation. I remained uninfluenced while they were busy preparing for the vacation.
My mind was on my phone, the texts flying back and forth. I focused on the screen in my hands so much that the first time I looked up was when we drove across a bridge on the trip to our campsite.
I looked out of the window and saw a fast-moving river. The air blowing into the car from the open windows was hot and smelled of trees. But that didn't matter to me. The reason why I had looked up was something far more serious and annoying. My phone no longer had service. The signal was weak. During the last hour of the drive, there was no signal at all.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
When we finally arrived at the campsite, I stepped out of the car with a long face.
