A Valuable Lesson in Interpersonal Communication
Basically, true friendship is based on trust and understanding, the basis of interpersonal relationships. Our class holds teamwork activities on a regular basis, and teachers allocate tasks on the basis of students’ personal strengths.
adv.基本上;总的来说
be based on =base A on B把 A 建立在 B 的基础上
...的基础
on a regular basis定期地
on the basis of在某事的基础上
Last week, I quarreled with my deskmate Tom. Judging from his casual teamwork performance, I blindly made a judgement that he was lazy. I totally was ignorant of and remained ignorant of his hardship: he had to care for his sick grandma after school. Feeling upset and anxious by turns, I gradually lost patience with and finally was out of patience with his delayed task.

vt. 忽视;
as far as I can judge据我判断
n. 无知;愚昧

Kindness is mutual. We treat others sincerely in return for their tolerance, and forgiveness in turn strengthens friendship. This experience taught me never to base our judgement on superficial impressions. We should have the patience to do things carefully and be patient in doing with interpersonal problems, overcoming ignorance to judge others fairly.

part 2.
A Meaningful Experience of Growth
To be honest, a careless mistake once taught me a valuable lesson. Last Friday, I intended to do a thorough classroom cleaning to sort out the messy shelf. Filled with all sorts of items, it was totally disordered, so I chose to sort through the things carefully.

I had intended to hide my mistake, but I soon realized it was wrong. My deskmate’s notebook was intended for daily review, and its notes were intended to improve her studies. As is often the case, honesty matters most.In most cases, covering faults worsens things. In no case should we avoid responsibility, and in any case, I needed to correct my mistake bravely.

I went to ask permission for searching the dustbin and successfully got permission from my teacher. With her permission, she permitted me to search the whole area, and school rules permit doing such remedial acts for accidental mistakes.
