内容正文:

听力考试正式开始。There are some hills near where I live, and my friend and I enjoy walking their on weekends. One saturday, we decided to hike up the hills. As usual. The weather was cloudy when we set off, and we didn't expect any problems. After two hours of hiking, we began to feel tired and decided to take a rest. We found a large rock to sit on, drink some water, and admired the view that was when the fog began to roll in slowly at first, then all at once. My friend suggested heading back immediately, but I want you to stay a bit longer, thinking the heavy fog might pass quickly. That was a huge mistake. Within minutes, the fog grew so thick that we couldn't see more than a few metres ahead. We had no idea where we were, and fear started to sit in. So I pulled out my phone and caught the police for help. Eighty five minutes later, the officers found us and guided us step by step back down the hill. This unforgettable experience has taught me an important lesson. There are some heels near. I live, and my friend and I enjoy walking there on weekend. Once saturday, we decided to hike up the hills. Welcome to China! I’m Lin Jia. Now, let me introduce some customs and manners in China to you. We often shake hands to greet each other to show friendliness. It is not common to hug or bow when meeting new friends here. We mainly use chopsticks for meals. And it’s polite to let the elderly start eating first. Don’t stick chopsticks into food, talk with your mouth full, hit empty bowls with chopsticks or point at others with chopsticks. Besides, we usually speak gently when communicating with guests. I hope you can have a great time in China and enjoy our wonderful traditional culture. Then, the ground started to shake. Tony felt like he was on a moving bus. Dogs were barking loudly. Chickens were running around in fear. Some of the kids fell down. Tony tried to stand up, but his legs felt weak. A woman ran out of her house. “Hurry up! It’s an earthquake!” she shouted. “Get to the open field!” Tony was so scared that he couldn’t move. The woman grabbed (抓住) his hand and pulled him. “Run!” she said. They reached the safe field. Tony looked back. His house was still there, but a tree had fallen down. How do people change seawater into fresh water? How does water come into our homes? This passage will answer these questions. In most places, people get their water from lakes and rivers. The water is usually seen all year round. In some places, people get their water from under the ground. They use wells to get the water. In some other places, windmills (风车) are used to get water from under the ground. In some country areas away from the city, people collect rainwater that falls on their roofs. Pipes from the roofs lead the water into tanks (罐子). The water from rainwater tanks is usually clean enough to drink. In some countries that are in need of water, fresh water is made from seawater in special treatment factories. This is called desalination (脱盐). In most treatment factories, salt water is heated until it turns into steam (蒸汽) and the salt is left behind. When the steam is cooled, it becomes fresh water. Only a little salt is left in the fresh water. This makes the water taste better and also stops the water taking salts and minerals (矿物质) out of our bodies. Have you seen tanks or towers on the tops of buildings? These tanks or towers are used for storing clean water. Before the water is put into these tanks or towers, it goes to a water treatment factory. Some water from rivers or lakes is not clean. If we drink it directly, we may be ill. In the water treatment factory, workers make the water clean and safe for people to drink. Then pipes bring the water to our homes. Water is very important for all living things, but sometimes there is not enough water. We should use water wisely. 33.(2分)How does the writer begin the passage? A.By asking questions. B.By explaining reasons. C.By giving examples. 34.(2分)What do people in country areas sometimes collect for drinking? A.River water. B.Rainwater. A.We should drink less water. B.We should only drink rainwater. C.We should use it wisely. 第II卷(非选择题) 四、任务型阅读(共8分) (本题8分)How can I become a better person? This question has been in my head for a long time. As students, we spend most of our time studying. I know learning at school, of course, makes you better persons, but I always dream of doing more meaningful things to improve myself. Last year, I joined a volunteer programme and got to know a group of autistic (患自闭症的) children. At first, it was really hard to communicate with them—they would often avoid eye contact and refuse to talk. After a two-week training on how to interact with autistic kids I became more skilled and patient. I sat with them to draw and play simple games, getting closer to them day by day. To my surprise, I found that every one of them had his or her own talent. And their colourful pictures on the wall attracted my special attention, though it was difficult to tell what they were trying to express. Moved by their works, I decided to hold a charity sale with my classmates. We walked on the busy street, showing passers-by the kids’ creative pictures. We sold 60 pictures that day and many people praised the works for their rich imagination. Back to the question about how to become a better person, I think I am lucky enough to get my own answer. 根据语篇内容,按要求回答问题。 37.(1分)How long did the writer train to communicate with autistic children? 38.(1分)What did the writer find after he/she got closer to autistic children? 39.(2分)How many pictures did they sell that day? 40.(2分)Do you think that selling pictures on the busy street is a very good way to help autistic children?
