简单句 Simple sentences
含有一个主谓结构的句子称为简单句。有时,简单句中包含许多修饰语,使得句子变得很长。要准确地理解句子,需要理清句子的结构,找到主语和谓语。
简单句中有时会包含介词短语,非谓语动词短语,形容词(短语),独立主格作修饰语。

并列句是指由并列连词连接的两个或更多的分句构成的句子,常见的并列连词有 and、or、but 等。要准确理解并列句,需要找到并列连词,弄清楚各分句之间的关系。
结构: 简单句 + 并列连词 + 简单句
并列关系 and, not only...but also..., neither...nor..., as well as
转折关系 but, yet(可是), while(然而)
因果关系 for, so, thus, therefore
选择关系 or, either...or...
并列连词
区别由并列连词连接的并列句和简单句:
1. She is very strict but kind.
2. She can sing, dance and draw.
3. Lifelong learning will help you develop your skills, further your career, boost your sense of self-worth and keep your mind active.
4. Learning a foreign language can help you understand a foreign culture, and
understanding a foreign culture can help you better communicate with people from a different background.
5. The Internet is considered by many to be a source of information, and it is also thought of as a means of entertainment, but some people regard it as a monster.
注意:并列连词不仅可以连接句子,还可以连接n,v, conj, adv,等其他成分。所以并不是有并列连词的就是并列句
主从复合句

主从复合句是指含有从句的复合句。要准确理解主从复合句,需要分析句子结构,找到主句和从句,并识别从句的种类:
定语从句, 状语从句,名词性从句(主语从句,宾语从句,表语从句,同位语从句)
结构: 简单句 + 从属连词 + 简单句
