The following suggestions can offer them practical guidance.
First, decide on volunteer fields based on your own hobbies. You can devote yourself to charity projects for underprivileged children or join teams devoted to community environmental improvement. 32 Without inner driving force, you are likely to lose passion and drop out easily when facing tiredness and trivial work.

【答案】Dear Nancy,
I’m glad to hear that you are coming to China. Let me tell you some customs in China.
First, when you meet someone for the first time, you are supposed to shake hands instead of hugging or kissing. Second, if you want to visit a friend’s house, you’d better call him or her in advance. Also, it’s polite to take a small gift. Third, as for table manners, Chinese people usually use chopsticks to eat and drink tea after meals. Remember that it’s impolite to point at others with your chopsticks.
I hope that the advice is helpful. Please feel free to ask me if you want to know more.

Never be discouraged by these unpleasant moments, for hardship helps cultivate your patience and sense of responsibility.
