Unit 8 A green world Period 8 Assessment Learning aims and demands By the end of the lesson, students will be able to 1.master the environmental vocabulary and key phrases; 2.talk about China's environmental protection efforts and green life;. 3.be able to use the passive voice correctly in writing and speaking about environmental protection 4.have some ideas about why it is important to protect the environment. Main and difficult points 1.To use the passive voice correctly; 2.To talk and write about environmental protection with the new words in this unit. Teaching Procedures Further Preparation Step 1: Warm-up (5 minutes) 1. Greet the students and have a free talk about how to go green with the help of some pictures related to environmental protection. 2.Ask students to talk about them in English. Step 2: Vocabulary Review (5 minutes) Display a word cloud with the key vocabulary of this unit on the screen. Ask students to recall and say the words aloud. Step 3: Grammar Review (10 minutes) 1. Present some sentences using the passive voice and ask students to identify the usage of the passive voice. 2. Do some grammar exercises on the blackboard or worksheets to reinforce the usage of he passive voice. 3. Have students correct the mistakes in given sentences.
