“Isn’t it cool and exciting?” Last summer, many people shared their travels in China online with this question.
It all started with American vlogger (视频博主) Paul Mike Ashton. In early 2024, he took his sister on a trip around China. In each new place, Paul asked if she thought it was exciting, and she always answered with a big smile, “Yes!” Paul and his family have loved China for years. “The country has kept its doors open for me,” he said. People from over fifty countries can now stay in some Chinese cities for up to 144 hours without a visa (签证). Many foreigners are making full use of this policy (政策). They ride high-speed trains, taste delicious food, meet friendly locals, and pay with their smartphones before leaving with sweet memories. China is ancient, but anything but outdated Its big cities are exciting and energetic.
Emma Leaning, a writer, moved to China twelve years ago. At first, she didn’t like some things. But as she learned more, her love for the country deepened. Still, some of her friends thought China was “old and poor”. Others refused to come and see China for themselves. In their opinions, it could never compare with Western countries. However, after visiting Emma in China, they changed their minds.
So, what about you? Have you ever shut yourself off from something new without truly experiencing it, just as Emma’s friends once judged China? If so, follow their example. Take a real look. From now on, open your mind and step into the unknown. You may be surprised to find that what once seemed strange can turn out to be cool and exciting.
3. How does the writer develop the passage?
A. By giving examples.
B. By presenting a problem.
C. By comparing two persons.
4. What can we learn from Paragraphs 2 & 3?
A. Paul Mike Ashton has lived in China since 2024.
B. Emma Leaning loved China as soon as she arrived here.
C. Many foreigners can stay in China for about 6 days without a visa.
5. What do the underlined words “shut yourself off from” mean in Paragraph 4?
6. What is the main purpose of the passage?
A. To show the rapid development of China.
B. To encourage us to be open to new things.
C. To advise us to share our travels more online.
A 4. C 5. B 6. B
原文第二段“In early 2024, he took his sister on a trip around China.”提到,Paul2024年初只是带妹妹来中国旅行,并非从2024年就定居中国,A错误;原文第三段“At first, she didn’t like some things.”提到,Emma刚到中国时并不喜欢这里的一些事物,不是一到就爱上中国,B错误; 文中第二段“People from over fifty countries can now stay in some Chinese cities for up to 144 hours without a visa (签证).”
C
In early 2026, a funny little AI called OpenClaw, or “the Lobster (龙虾)” for its red lobster-shaped picture, suddenly became the talk of China. It spread like wildfire. Everyone wanted to “raise a lobster” of their own. That meant setting it up and making it work just for them. In Shanghai, over 300 technology lovers stood in long lines for free setup (安装). In Shenzhen, nearly 1,000 people rushed to a Tencent station, and all spots were gone in no time. Even paid setup services flew off the shelves online.
What makes OpenClaw special? It can do things, not just talk. Unlike ChatGPT, which only gives advice, OpenClaw works like a “digital worker”. It can compare prices of the same product on different websites, analyze data (分析数据), write reports, and so on. This change from talker to doer is why people like it so much.
At first, the setup was too hard for common users, so big technology companies made it easier. Baidu Smart Cloud offered one-click setup and free offline setup, along with cheaper service plans. Tencent, Alibaba and 360 also began to offer similar products. Local governments provided support too. Shenzhen made the “Ten Lobster Policies” — the first of its kind in China — giving up to 2 million yuan to teams working on it. Wuxi added 12 policies, offering up to 5 million yuan for one project.
But there are real dangers. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said wrong settings could leak (泄露) information. To stay safe, users should follow the rules, and service providers must make safety better. As experts say, we need to find a good balance between being easy and being safe.
7. Which question is answered in Paragraph 1?
A. Who created OpenClaw?
B. How popular is OpenClaw?
C. Where does OpenClaw come from?
8. Why do so many people like OpenClaw?
A. All the people can set it up for free.
B. It can give lots of wonderful advice.
C. It can do more than just talk with people.
9. What is the main worry raised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology?
A. OpenClaw might replace human workers.
B. The setup process is too expensive for common users.
C. Incorrect settings could cause information to be leaked.
10. What section (部分) of a magazine is the passage taken from?
A. Nature. B. Science. C. Food.
B 8. C 9. C 10. B
原文第一段“It spread like wildfire…In Shanghai…In Shenzhen…Even paid setup services flew off the shelves online.”,用多地民众排队安装的事例说明OpenClaw人气极高,回答它有多受欢迎。
原文第二段“It can do things, not just talk…OpenClaw works like a “digital worker”. It can compare prices…analyze data, write reports”,说明它不局限聊天,还能实操各类工作。
原文第四段“The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said wrong settings could leak (泄露) information.”,工信部担忧错误设置会造成信息泄露。

Good news for students in Hunan! The province will soon start spring and autumn breaks. The local government issued (发布) a notice on March 26, 2026.
According to the notice, the spring break is in April or May. The autumn break is in October or November. Each break lasts two or three days. Schools can connect these breaks with weekends or other holidays. This gives students more time to go out and enjoy nature.
What can students do during the breaks? They can take a short trip with their family. They can visit a farm or a park. They can read books in the library or watch a science show in the museum. As a saying goes, “The world is a book. If you don’t travel, you only read a page of it.” Travel plays an important role in our life.
Last spring break, I went to Beijing with my parents by high-speed train. We visited many places of interest, such as the Great Wall and the Palace Museum. We also tasted delicious local food and took a lot of beautiful photos. We had a wonderful time there.
Travel brings us a lot. It can open up our eyes and increase our knowledge about history. In a word, travel is not only relaxing but also meaningful.

A. Nature. B. Science. C. Food.
