B. That’s a great idea!
C. Where will you go?
D. How long will it take?
E. Do you have any plans?
F. What exactly will you do?
E 2. F 3. A 4. D 5. B
Alice回答了具体的假期计划,可知Betty此处是在询问Alice是否有假期计划,故用E项“Do you have any plans?”
Betty 问的是“do you usually help with housework at home?”,这是一般疑问句。
Betty表示自己也应该做同样的事情,下文Alice说“让我们这个假期都让妈妈开心”,说明Alice对Betty的想法表示赞同和鼓励,B项“That’s a great idea!”
At the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Chinese snowboarder Su Yiming gave an outstanding performance in the ____6____ slopestyle (坡面障碍技巧) event. Su’s gold medal in 2026 was especially meaningful to him. After the 2022 Olympics, he felt very tired both physically and mentally. However, he did not give up. He continued to train hard.
固定短语“expect sb. to do sth.
符合结构:What a/an+形容词+可数名词单数+主谓!unbelievable以元音音素开头,所以用What an。

The researchers looked at other possible reasons that might ____22____ the results, such as income or education. But even with these factors, the connection between libraries and better health stayed strong.
The researchers say this is only a connection, and can’t clearly prove (证明) that library books ____23____ cause better health. But there are several reasons why having libraries full of books might help keep older people healthy
Walking to the library can be a simple way for older people to get some exercise. And reading keeps the brain ____24____, as past studies have shown.
But above all, many libraries have clubs, talks and events that help people ____25____ with others, which is important for mental and emotional health.
So even people who don’t read much can still benefit from living near a good library!

Have you ever looked at Vincent van Gogh’s famous painting The Starry Night and felt like the sky was moving? It turns out your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you. ▲ A team of researchers has found that the swirling (旋动的) patterns in van Gogh’s great work are actually very similar to the real movement of air in the sky!
The researchers used clever methods to study van Gogh’s brushstrokes. They found that these patterns match two important ideas in the study of how water and gases move. Don’t worry if these terms sound abstruse—let’s explain them in an easy way.
One of these ideas, called Kolmogorov’s law, describes how energy moves from larger to smaller parts in a moving fluid (流体). Imagine a big swirl breaking down into smaller and smaller ones. This is what happens in the sky and oceans ... and amazingly, it’s exactly what van Gogh’s brushstrokes show in The Starry Night.
Finding this pattern in a painting is uncommon, which makes the discovery even more exciting. “It shows that van Gogh had a deep and natural understanding of nature,” says Yongxiang Huang, the head of the study. This research also brings new chances for the intersection of art and science. It proves that beauty and scientific truth aren’t mutually exclusive (相互排斥的)—in fact, they might be more closely connected than we realize.
So, the next time you look at The Starry Night, remember that you’re not just seeing a beautiful painting. You’re also seeing a picture of the swirling, moving dance of the atmosphere—a perfect mix of art and science.
31. Which of the following can be put in “ ▲ ” in Paragraph 1?
A. It’s just a special feeling. B. There’s a scientific reason.
C. Van Gogh painted skillfully. D. The painting is hard to copy.
32. What does the word “abstruse” probably mean in Paragraph 2?
A. Hard to understand. B. Easy to explain. C. Interesting to learn. D. Important to remember.
33. Which of the following best shows Kolmogorov’s law?
A. B. C. D.
34. What is the purpose of Paragraph 4?
A. To stress the importance of the discovery.
B. To describe the beauty of nature.
C. To praise the great talent of van Gogh.
D. To explain the steps of the research.
35. What can be a suitable title for the text?
A. Van Gogh: A Pioneer of Turbulence Research
B. Van Gogh: A Talented Artist and A Natural Scientist
C. The Starry Night: Beauty Meets Scientific Truth
D. The Starry Night: Art Teaches Atmospheric Physics
31. B 32. A 33. B 34. A 35. C

这说明这种“动态感”有科学依据,B项“There’s a scientific reason.”
第二段“let’s explain them in an easy way.”
第三段“Imagine a big swirl breaking down into smaller and smaller ones.”

Xidao Island, home to a fishing village off the coast of Sanya, has three old fishing boats that no longer set out to sea. They have become a library on the sea that serves as a cultural center.
“The idea came about by chance,” said Qin Jiayi, founder of the boat library. After fixing the boats, her team couldn’t find the right place for them. At the same time, a project to turn Xidao Island into a popular place for tourists was underway Luckily, with help from the government, the three boats finally found their home and became a library. In 2017, the library opened to the public.
Each of the three boats has a special function (作用). One is a reading room where anyone can come in for free. Another is for exhibitions (展览) and reading activities. The third boat shows childhood-themed things. The boat library quickly became a “spiritual home” for local children and attracted (吸引) thousands of visitors.
Qin and her team know that running the library won’t help them make a lot of money. However, they continue their work because they believe in the power of reading. Beyond that, they see the library as a way to do even more good. Since Xidao Island is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs (珊瑚礁) and is rich in natural treasures, the library has become a place to teach people how to protect the environment.

A. Hard to understand. B. Easy to explain. C. Interesting to learn. D. Important to remember.
33. Which of the following best shows Kolmogorov’s law?
A. B. C. D.
34. What is the purpose of Paragraph 4?
A. To stress the importance of the discovery.
B. To describe the beauty of nature.
C. To praise the great talent of van Gogh.
D. To explain the steps of the research.
35. What can be a suitable title for the text?
A. Van Gogh: A Pioneer of Turbulence Research
