One thing that’s definitely worth visiting there is the place where the original town was constructed nearly 1,000 years ago. There’s not much of the original buildings left, but there’s still plenty to see.Our next overnight stop will be in the village of Cluny. There is a museum indicating the significance of sheep in the area over the centuries. The wool used to be sold for cloth and it brought richness to the district. From there, we’ll leave for Pennerley. Pennerley is well known for its museum of village life, but it’s being repaired at the moment. However, there’s an open-air farmer’s market every day, selling fruits and vegetables all grown with a few miles of the town and sold by the farmers themselves. It’s definitely worth a visit. In Farlow, which is one of the oldest towns in the region, there’s a museum that shows how horses used to be the most universal way of traveling around, and how they were gradually replaced with steam and later, of course, electric trains, buses, and cars. A Four Great Online Art Classes for Kids Here are four of the best online art classes for kids that are either free or extremely affordable (负担得起的).Carla Sonheim’s Kid’s Week Carla Sonheim, the author of Drawing Lab, has a series of free art classes. Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, located in Gansu Province, are home to more than 45,000 square meters of murals, some of which date back over 1,600 years. However, these precious artworks are facing threats from natural aging, climate change, and human activities. A team of researchers from Tsinghua University has developed an AI-based system to assist in mural restoration. The system first uses high-resolution cameras to document detailed images of the murals. Then, AI algorithms (算法) analyze the images to identify damaged areas, such as cracks, fading, and peeling. “AI can quickly and accurately detect even the smallest damages that are difficult for human eyes to spot,” said Professor Chen, the leader of the research team. After identifying the damaged areas, the AI system provides restoration suggestions based on historical data and the style of the murals. For example, if a color has faded, the AI can recommend the most appropriate color to match the original. The system also helps restorers simulate (模拟)the restoration effect before actual work begins, which reduces the risk of mistakes. “The AI system has greatly improved the efficiency and accuracy of mural restoration,” Professor Chen said. “What used to take restorers months to complete can now be done in a few weeks with the help of AI.” However, Professor Chen also pointed out that AI is only an assistant tool. “Human restorers still play a crucial role in making final decisions, as restoration requires not only technical skills but also a deep understanding of the cultural and historical background of the murals.” Some experts are concerned about the over-reliance on AI in cultural heritage restoration. “We should not let AI replace human judgment completely,” said Dr. Li, a cultural heritage expert. “The value of cultural heritage lies not only in its appearance but also in the human emotions and craftsmanship behind it.” 24.What is the main threat to Dunhuang murals mentioned in the text? A.Lack of research funds. B.Limited restoration technology. C.Natural aging and human actions. D.Lack of professional restorers. 25.What is the first step of the AI-based restoration system? A.Analyzing the damaged areas. B.Recording images of the murals in detail. C.Providing restoration suggestions. D.Simulating the effect of restoration. 26.Why is human involvement still important in mural restoration? A.AI fails to detect small damages. B.AI is too expensive to use widely. C.AI works more slowly than human restorers. D.AI lacks cultural and historical understanding. 27.What is Dr. Li’s attitude towards the use of AI in mural restoration? A.Strongly opposed. B.Indifferent. C.Cautious. D.Fully supportive. 根据第一段中的“However, these precious artworks are facing threats from natural aging, climate change, and human activities.(然而,这些珍贵的艺术品正面临自然老化、气候变化和人类活动的威胁)”可知,文中提到的敦煌壁画主要威胁是自然老化与人类活动。 25. 根据第二段中的“The system first uses high-resolution cameras to document detailed images of the murals.(该系统首先使用高分辨率相机记录壁画的详细图像)”可知,人工智能修复系统的第一步是详细记录壁画图像。 26. 根据第四段中的“Human restorers still play a crucial role in making final decisions, as restoration requires not only technical skills but also a deep understanding of the cultural and historical background of the murals.(人类修复师在最终决策中仍然发挥关键作用,因为修复不仅需要技术,还需要对壁画的文化和历史背景有深刻理解)”可知,人工智能缺乏文化和历史认知,无法替代人工,人工参与必不可少。 27. C Hayley Arceneaux managed to live after bone cancer (骨癌). So she isn’t afraid of a little space travel. This fall, she will be on SpaceX’s first private flight (飞行) to circle Earth. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital chose Arceneaux for the honor (荣誉). She was a patient before she got a job at St. Jude last spring. Arceneaux will join three other people on the flight. She will be the medical officer. At 29 years old, she will be the youngest American to go into space. Arceneaux will also be the first person in space with an artificial (人造的) body part. When she was 10, Arceneaux was given an artificial knee at St. Jude. The SpaceX flight will circle Earth. It will last two to four days. Billionaire Jared Isaacman paid for the flight. He raised money for St. Jude, which researches childhood cancers. Isaacman asked St. Jude to pick one person. Without telling its workers, leaders at the center chose from a group of workers who were also former patients. When Arceneaux was home in Tennessee, the call came out of the blue. Her answer was “Yes! Yes! Please!” But she also checked with her family members. Her brother and sister-in-law work in the space industry. They told her space travel is safe. Arceneaux is a lifelong space fan. She is also a risk-taker. “My fight against cancer really prepared me for space travel,” she said. “It made me strong.” She can’t wait to show kids with cancer that “the sky is not the limit (界限) anymore.” She thinks it will “mean so much to these kids to see a former cancer patient in space.” Isaacman, 38, is also a risk-taker. He will lead the spaceflight. He set out to raise $200 million for St. Jude. He said he would provide 50% of the money. “It’s not all ... about getting people excited to travel in space someday,” Isaacman said. “It’s also ... about an encouraging message of what we can achieve here on Earth.” 28.What did St. Jude offer to Arceneaux? A.A chance to travel in space. B.Free medical treatment. C.A round-the-world trip. D.An artificial arm. 29.How did Arceneaux feel when she was called? A.Proud. B.Angry. C.Worried. D.Surprised. 30.What did Arceneaux think of the trip? A.It would be supported by her family. B.It would encourage kids with cancer. C.It would be bad for her health. D.It would cost a lot of money. 31.Which of the following can best describe Arceneaux? A.Adventurous and caring. B.Friendly and hopeful. C.Helpful and strict. D.Honest and kind. 根据第一段“This fall, she will be on SpaceX’s first private flight (飞行) to circle Earth. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital chose Arceneaux for the honor (荣誉).(今年秋天,她将乘坐SpaceX的第一次私人飞行环绕地球。圣裘德儿童研究医院为了这份荣誉选择了Arceneaux)”可知,圣裘德儿童研究医院提供了一个在太空旅行的机会给Arceneaux。 29.推理判断题。根据第三段“When Arceneaux was home in Tennessee, the call came out of the blue. Her answer was “Yes! Yes! Please!”(当Arceneaux在田纳西州的家中时,电话突然响起。她的回答是:“是的!是的!太好了!”)”可知,Arceneaux接到电话时感觉是惊喜的。 30.细节理解题。根据第五段“She can’t wait to show kids with cancer that “the sky is not the limit (界限) anymore.” She thinks it will “mean so much to these kids to see a former cancer patient in space.”(她迫不及待地想向患有癌症的孩子们展示“天空不再是界限”。她认为“在太空中看到一位前癌症患者对这些孩子来说意义重大。”)”可知,Arceneaux觉得这次旅行会鼓励患癌症的孩子。 31.推理判断题。根据第四段“Arceneaux is a lifelong space fan. She is also a risk-taker.(Arceneaux是一个终生的太空迷。她也是一个冒险者)”可知Arceneaux是一个有冒险精神的人;第五段“She can’t wait to show kids with cancer that “the sky is not the limit (界限) anymore.” She thinks it will “mean so much to these kids to see a former cancer patient in space.”(她迫不及待地想向患有癌症的孩子们展示“天空不再是界限”。她认为“在太空中看到一位前癌症患者对这些孩子来说意义重大。”)”可知,Arceneaux是一个关心他人的人。A选项(有冒险精神和关心他人的。)符合题意。 D If you’ve ever felt lonely, you’re not the only one. In a survey conducted late last year in the U.S., 20 percent of adults reported feeling lonely, and this feeling is not limited to the U.S. According to the World Health Organization, the world is experiencing a global health crisis — loneliness. Today, many live isolated (隔离的) lives. People used to belong to a variety of social clubs where they met face-to-face, whereas now, life seems to have shifted online, where people shop, hold work meetings, date, play games, etc. In fact, American adults spend significantly less time socializing face-to-face than they did 20 years ago. Adults in other countries are no better. The issue of loneliness in South Korea has attracted national attention as young people are spending more time at home by themselves. In Singapore, the trend (趋势) is for people to believe that they need to manage their emotions by themselves. Psychologists agree this can be healthy; however, Mr. Jamil warns that too much self-reliance is dangerous if people don’t connect with others because they view it as being weak. Mental health experts say that even though there is digital connectedness, loneliness among young adults is high because their communication is usually shallow. Clinical psychologist Haikal Jamil says, “Online connections tend to focus on brief, surface-level exchanges such as likes, comments and short messages, rather than supportive conversations.” How can we fight this crisis? A U.S. study found that when people like what they do every day, whether work or a hobby, their chances of experiencing loneliness diminish. Additionally, exercising, taking a class or playing sports helps people feel active and productive, giving them the mental energy needed to interact with others, thus improving their mental health. The battle against loneliness isn’t easy, but the methods above can be a start. 32.How does the author illustrate the issue in paragraph 2? A.By making a comparison. B.By offering a definition. C.By giving examples. D.By listing numbers. 33.Why does online communication fail to replace face-to-face socialization? A.It lacks deep interaction. B.It refuses to follow the trend. C.It shows signs of weakness. D.It prevents long conversations. 34.What does the underlined word “diminish” in paragraph 5 probably mean? A.Disappear. B.Return. C.Exist. D.Decrease. 35.What is the main purpose of the passage? A.To encourage people to take some social classes. B.To compare loneliness levels in different countries. C.To describe the global loneliness crisis and solutions to it. D.To explain how online communication causes loneliness. 根据第二段中“People used to belong to a variety of social clubs where they met face-to-face, whereas now, life seems to have shifted online, where people shop, hold work meetings, date, play games, etc. In fact, American adults spend significantly less time socializing face-to-face than they did 20 years ago. Adults in other countries are no better.(人们过去属于各种各样的社交俱乐部,在那里他们面对面地见面,而现在,生活似乎已经转移到了网上,人们在那里购物、举行工作会议、约会、玩游戏等。事实上,美国成年人花在面对面社交上的时间比20年前少得多。其他国家的成年人也好不到哪里去)”可知,作者通过将过去线下社交与现在线上生活进行对比,说明孤独感问题。 33.细节理解题。根据第四段中“Mental health experts say that even though there is digital connectedness, loneliness among young adults is high because their communication is usually shallow. Clinical psychologist Haikal Jamil says, “Online connections tend to focus on brief, surface-level exchanges such as likes, comments and short messages, rather than supportive conversations.”(心理健康专家表示,尽管存在数字连接,但年轻人的孤独感很高,因为他们的交流通常很浅。临床心理学家Haikal Jamil说:“线上联系往往聚焦于点赞、评论、短信息等简短、表层的交流,而非支持性的深度对话”)”可知,线上沟通缺乏深层互动,无法替代面对面社交。 34.词句猜测题。根据第五段中“How can we fight this crisis? A U.S. study found that when people like what they do every day, whether work or a hobby, their chances of experiencing loneliness diminish. Additionally, exercising, taking a class or playing sports helps people feel active and productive, giving them the mental energy needed to interact with others, thus improving their mental health.(我们如何应对这场危机?美国的一项研究发现,当人们喜欢他们每天做的事情,无论是工作还是爱好,他们经历孤独感的可能性会diminish。此外,锻炼、上课或运动有助于人们感到活跃和富有成效,为他们提供与他人互动所需的精神能量,从而改善他们的心理健康)”可知,当人们喜欢他们每天做的事情时,他们体验孤独的机会应该会“减少,降低”,diminish意为“减少”,与decrease意思相近。 35.推理判断题。通读全文,结合第一段“If you’ve ever felt lonely, you’re not the only one. In a survey conducted late last year in the U.S., 20 percent of adults reported feeling lonely, and this feeling is not limited to the U.S. (如果你曾经感到孤独,你并不是唯一一个有这种感受的人。去年年底在美国进行的一项调查显示,20%的成年人表示感到孤独,而且这种感受并非仅限于美国)”可知,全文先介绍了全球孤独危机的现状和原因,最后提出了应对方法,核心目的是描述孤独危机及解决方案。 第二节:(共5小题, 每小题2. 5分, 共12. 5分) Most people may have experienced the familiar behaviors: the endless scroll (滚屏) that keeps us up later than intended at night, the instinctive reach for a phone in any spare moment, the sense of being sucked into a digital distraction machine. 36 . They’re the predictable outcomes of platforms designed to hold our attention for as long as possible. Then there is an obvious question: If the apps are designed to keep us addicted, how can we begin to take back control? Here are some simple ways to reclaim your attention. 37 Set a clear daily time limit for your most-used apps, and make it realistic enough that you’ll actually stick to it. Most smartphones now let you track and cap usage, which helps removes some of the willpower from the equation. The key is consistency: Treat that limit as you would any other boundary on your time, rather than something to override “just for today”. Go greyscale 38 . The bright colours and notification badges are addictive, and carefully chosen to trigger engagement; muting them makes the experience feel flatter and more intentional. Without those colours, it’s amazing how it loses its draw. Control your space Notifications are designed to pull you back in, often at the worst possible moment, like bedtime. 39 . You can filter them so that only messages from people you genuinely want to hear from come through instantly. Everything else can wait until you decide to check it. Create phone-free daily habits Build regular moments into your day where your phone simply isn’t part of the picture; during meals, the first hour after waking, or just before bed. These boundaries help retrain your attention span and reduce the sense that you need to be constantly connected. 40 . A.Decide your limit B.Do a spring clean C.They’re not simply bad habits or a lack of willpower D.Addiction is a feature of social media platforms, not a bug E.Switching your phone to black and white can dramatically reduce its appeal F.Turn off push notifications from apps that cause you trouble or aren’t essential G.Over time, they create pockets of calm that make the pull of the endless scroll easier to resist 【答案】36.C 37.A 38.E 39.F 40.G 【导语】本文列举人们沉迷手机网络的常见表现,分析背后成因,并介绍四种夺回注意力、摆脱手机依赖的实用方法。 由上文“Most people may have experienced the familiar behaviors: the endless scroll (滚屏) that keeps us up later than intended at night, the instinctive reach for a phone in any spare moment, the sense of being sucked into a digital distraction machine.(大多数人都有过这类熟悉行为:深夜不停刷手机、空闲就下意识摸手机,深陷数字干扰之中。)”和下文“They’re the predictable outcomes of platforms designed to hold our attention for as long as possible.(这些都是平台为长久抓取注意力而产生的必然结果。)” C选项“They’re not simply bad habits or a lack of willpower(这些并不只是坏习惯或是意志力薄弱)”衔接上下文,打破片面认知,引出手机沉迷的深层原因,逻辑通顺。 37.由下文“Set a clear daily time limit for your most-used apps, and make it realistic enough that you’ll actually stick to it.(给常用软件设定每日使用时限,制定切实可执行的标准。)” 38.由上文小标题“Go greyscale(开启灰阶模式)”和下文“The bright colours and notification badges are addictive, and carefully chosen to trigger engagement; muting them makes the experience feel flatter and more intentional. without those colours, it’s amazing how it loses its draw.(鲜艳的色彩和消息角标极具吸引力,其设计经过精心考量,旨在勾起用户互动欲望;把它们的颜色调暗后,使用体验会显得更平淡且更具目的性。褪去缤纷色彩,它的诱惑力便会大幅消减。)”可知,该段解释灰阶模式通过去除鲜艳色彩来降低手机吸引力。因此,本空需要填入一个能解释灰阶模式具体做法及其效果的句子。E选项“Switching your phone to black and white can dramatically reduce its appeal(把手机切换成黑白模式可以大幅降低它的吸引力)”中“Switching your phone to black and white”对应小标题“Go greyscale”, “dramatically reduce its appeal”与下文“it loses its draw”语义一致,起到承上启下的作用。 39.由上文“Notifications are designed to pull you back in, often at the worst possible moment, like bedtime.(推送消息总会在睡前等不适宜时刻吸引用户注意力)”可知,本段围绕手机推送消息带来的干扰展开论述,需要填入对应的解决办法。F选项“Turn off push notifications from apps that cause you trouble or aren’t essential(关闭非必要、易干扰生活软件的推送通知)”承接上文问题,给出具体可行的解决方式,贴合段落语境。 40.由上文“Build regular moments into your day where your phone simply isn’t part of the picture; during meals, the first hour after waking, or just before bed.(养成远离手机的日常习惯,用餐、晨起、睡前等时段放下手机)”可知,前文介绍了远离手机的具体日常习惯,此处需要填入这些习惯带来的积极效果。G选项“Over time, they create pockets of calm that make the pull of the endless scroll easier to resist(久而久之便能营造静心时刻,更容易抵抗不停刷手机的诱惑)”总结前文做法的长期益处,收束段落内容,逻辑连贯。 第三部分 语言运用(共四节, 满分55分) 第一节 完形填空(共15小题;每小题1分, 共15分) At the age of 80, Monica Kellenberger packed her bag and started to hike the 2,197-mile Appalachian Trail (步道). I had imagined cheerful conversations and easy smiles, so the night before I carefully packed handmade cards and a bag of oranges from my grandfather’s tree. I even practiced a few polite opening lines in front of the mirror. When we arrived, however, I felt much less confident than I had in my bedroom. The hall was bright, but strangely quiet. Some residents were chatting in small groups, while others sat alone by the windows. Our teacher asked each of us to spend time with one person and simply listen. I was given a chair beside Mr. Chen, a thin man in a dark blue sweater. A chessboard lay unopened on the table in front of him. I greeted him, but he only nodded. I tried again and offered him one of the cards. He thanked me politely and placed it beside the chessboard without opening it. For the next few minutes, I searched for something to say. Did he like music? Did he enjoy walking? Had he lived in the city long? My questions sounded stiff even to me. His answers were short. Across the room, my classmates were already laughing with the people they had met. I began to wish I could disappear into the wall. Then I noticed a small photo partly sticking out of the book in Mr. Chen’s hand. It showed a teenage boy in a school basketball uniform. Before I could stop myself, I asked, “Is he your grandson?” Mr. Chen’s fingers rested on the photo. After a long silence, he said softly, “He used to visit every weekend.” Just then, the bell rang for the break, and my classmates started moving toward the snack table. I stood up, unsure whether to leave or stay. I hesitated, then slowly sat down again. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When the visit ended, Mr. Chen walked us to the gate. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】参考范文: I hesitated, then slowly sat down again. Mr. Chen looked up with a hint of surprise in his eyes. I pointed at the chessboard and softly asked if he felt like playing a game. A faint smile finally appeared on his quiet face. As we carefully arranged the chess pieces, he started to talk voluntarily. He told me the boy in the photo was his grandson, who used to come every weekend to play chess with him before his family moved to another city. I listened patiently, letting him guide both the game and our conversation. When the break ended, the awkward silence between us had turned into warm and peaceful companionship. When the visit ended, Mr. Chen walked us to the gate. He shook my hand warmly and sincerely thanked me for staying with him. He also promised to finish our unfinished chess game next time we met. I smiled and agreed happily. As our bus slowly pulled away, I saw him waving gently at the gate, holding my handmade card tightly in his hand. This precious experience taught me that true communication lies in sincere company and patient listening. 词汇激活 行为类 ①抬头:look up/raise one’s head/glance upward ②轻声问:softly ask/whisper/inquire in a low voice 情绪类 ①惊讶:surprise/astonishment/amazement ②高兴地:happily/cheerfully/with delight 【点睛】【高分句型1】I pointed at the chessboard and softly asked if he felt like playing a game. A.Proud. B.Angry. C.Worried. D If you’ve ever felt lonely, you’re not the only one. 第二节:(共5小题, 每小题2. 5分, 共12. 5分) Most people may have experienced the familiar behaviors: the endless scroll (滚屏) that keeps us up later than intended at night, the instinctive reach for a phone in any spare moment, the sense of being sucked into a digital distraction machine. 40 . A.Decide your limit B.Do a spring clean C.They’re not simply bad habits or a lack of willpower D.Addiction is a feature of social media platforms, not a bug E.Switching your phone to black and white can dramatically reduce its appeal F.Turn off push notifications from apps that cause you trouble or aren’t essential G.Over time, they create pockets of calm that make the pull of the endless scroll easier to resist 第三部分 语言运用(共四节, 满分55分) 第一节 完形填空(共15小题;每小题1分, 共15分) At the age of 80, Monica Kellenberger packed her bag and started to hike the 2,197-mile Appalachian Trail (步道). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
