came from seeing different people, each living their own"brilliant"lives offstage. It made me

M:Exactly. It's about finding those sparks of joy and meaning in the ordinary.
W:So how do you manage to switch between the rockstar life and, say, family life?
M:It's a conscious choice. My family is my foundation. They remind me of that ordinary brilliance
every day. So,I value my time with them.It isn't always easy, but it's what makes the
music-and life-meaningful.
W:And it truly shines through in Brilliant Life.Thank you for that insight.

Johnson began his career as a competitive gymnast, taking part in numerous national-level
events.In 2012,he turned to personal training and.three years later,co-founded a training
studio called The Way of Balance in New York with several partners. In 2019.he returned to
Sydney and joined our club, focusing on group classes and determined to find a more scientific
and engaging way to guide everyone in their ttaining.Johnson feels that some mind-body
integrated, functional training approaches within public fitness have long been overlooked by
traditional systems focusing on muscle building. In the fitness world, muscle gain and fat loss
receive great attention, while the joy of movement, bodily coordination and control are often
undervalued.His training philosophy,"Active Living",is meant to change that.Now,let's
welcome Coach Johnson to share this fitness philosophy with us.

The heavy oak doors of the town's old library swung open with a familiar,
rhythmic sound that seemed to bridge the gap between my crazy present and the
forgotten past.I stepped inside, greeted by the scent of aging paper and leather. As
I walked through the narrow aisles,my fingers brushed against the spines of books
that had stood there long before I was born.I sat on a chair that was a bit
unsteady, just as it was ten years ago.Why do we feel such a profound pull toward
the physical objects of history in an age when everything is digitized on a screen?
Perhaps it is because a screen offers information, but a book offers a soul.In
these margins,I saw faint pencil marks left by previous readers-a question mark
here,an underlined sentence there. These were the echoes of strangers,a silent
conversation across decades. The sunlight came through the dust in the air,
turning it into a shining veil of gold.It was a beautiful place of deep thoughts
where time felt suspended in amber(琥珀).
We live in a culture of "now",focused on the immediate and the loud.We
rush toward the future, abandoning our memories like old skin. However,
standing in that quiet corner,I realized that progress without reflection is merely
movement without direction. We need these silent spaces to remind us that our
individual stories are but single threads in a vast, interconnected tapestry (
of human experience.
Leaving the library,I felt a strange sense of grounding. The world outside was
still loud, and my phone still buzzed with urgency. But I carried a piece of that
stillness with me.I learned that to look back is not always to retreat ()
sometimes,it is the only way to find the strength to move forward. The old books
didn't just tell me stories;they reminded me who I am when the world stops

Among Generation Alpha, which includes those born between 2010 and 2025,
the oldest are just attending high school. But by examining.their attitudes and
perspectives today,we can get a clearer picture of tomorrow.Globally,Gen Alpha
kids account for 27%of their household inessential spending and drive nearly a
third of digital spending, partly.deciding what a family streams and purchases
online,and the brands they support.
While Gen Z was the first digitally native generation,Gen Alpha is the first
generation to grow up in a super-connected world, where artificial intelligence
(AI)will play a significant role, making technology an extension of themselves
rather than something special that they use sporadically. As a result,it will
influence how they learn, work, and live their daily lives.
Unlike some previous generations, many of Gen Alpha will become financially
literate in their early years.A study by Acorns shows that approximately 41%of
those betweeni the ages of 6 and 14 are already saving and investing for various
long-term goals,such as cars,college,homes,or retirement.
While most of Gen Alpha won't be purchasing houses until the 2030s,

technology with environmental sustainability.However,with reduced
construction, home purchases may be out of their reach, resulting in longer rental
periods,smaller houses,close living arrangements,or multi-generational co-
housing.Additionally, climate change like increasing temperatures and wildfires
may affect the choices of settlements.
It's still too early to understand the earnings potential for Gen Alpha;and
they will face enormous labor shifts as automation and AI will replace many jobs.
While experts predict an increase in remote work, startups, and the gig economy
(零工经济),with a focus on flexibility,innovation,and cross-cultural
communication,it is agreed that many of their jobs don't exist yet.So the best way

Australia's beloved dolphin populations face growing pressures from
environmental change and human activity. These pressures increase the need for
simple, reliable, and non-invasive(非侵人的)tools to monitor dolphin health and
support conservation and management.Because dolphins live mostly underwater,
traditional health checks are often difficult, and new methods are needed to reduce
risk to the animals while still providing useful data.
In a new study published in the Journal of Thermal Biology, marine

mammal experts from Flinders University analyzed more than 40,000 thermal
images(热图像).The study tested whether drones(无人机)with thermal
cameras-could accurately measure dolphin surface temperature and breathing rates
without contact or invasive methods. The research focused on whether these drone
measurements were reliable enough for real health monitoring.
"Monitoring the health of dolphins is important for assessing environmental
impacts and supporting conservation,"says PhD candidate Charlie White from the
Cetacean Ecology,Behaviour and Evolution Lab (CEBEL)at Flinders University.
She explains that traditional methods often require capture or restraint, which can
be stressful for dolphins and hard to carry out.Under optimal flight conditions of
10 to 15 meters directly overhead, the team confirmed that drone measurements
were accurate enough to detect meaningful changes in surface temperature and
breathing rate, both key indicators of health.
The researchers'worked with 14 bottlenose dolphins under human care at
Queensland's Sea World. They flew drones at different heights and compared drone
thermal readings with close-range temperature measurements to check accuracy.
The results showed that drones could reliably measure heat from the dolphins
blowholes, body surfaces, and dorsal fins ()and could also accurately count
breathing rates.
Senior author Associate Professor Guido Parra says the study shows that
drone-based infrared thermography is a promising tool for wildlife health
assessment. The findings suggest that this method can provide safer and less
invasive monitoring of marine mammals in both managed care and wild settings.
With further testing under a wider range of wild conditions, this approach has
strong potential to support dolphin conservation while reducing stress and harm to
the animals.
32.What is paragraph 1 mainly about?
A.Tour value growth.
B.The need for new tools.
C.Environmental threats.
D.Dolphin number change.
33.What is Charlie White's attitude towards old checking methods?
A.Negative.
B.Approving.
C.Tolerant:
D.Ambiguous.
34.How did the researchers confirm the accuracy of the drone thermal data?
A.By collecting blood samples from the dolphins.
B.By placing thermal cameras underwater for retesting.
C.By comparing it with close-range temperature readings.
D.By tracking whether the dolphins'feeding behavior changed.

The risks of oversharing on social media
We share a lot online-holidays,birthdays,updates,even lunch.Cheaters
and online criminals can collect clues from posts and use them to pretend to be you
or access your accounts.36 Consider who might be watching.
What happens to the information you share?
Public posts can be seen by anyone.Even with privacy settings, content can be re
shared, copied,or stored. Some content may remain online even after you delete it.
OWhy oversharing can be risky, and how it happens?
Oversharing often comes from details that add up.Personal identifiers
(birthdate, address, phone number, car number)can appear in text or photos.
Simple facts like your school, workplace,or first pet can help criminals answer
security questions or guess passwords.37 Showing high-value items can
attract unwanted attention.
●38
Oversharing can lead to identity theft, online cheating or harmful software,
misuse of photos or data, and real-world risks such as burglary or physical harm.
●How to share safely

Mike was a thoughtful young man who had recently moved into a quiet
neighborhood. He enjoyed taking evening walks, observing the small details of
community life. One day,one house caught his 'attention-the home of John,an
elderly man who lived alone.Mike often saw him sitting on the porch ()
watching the world go by.
Over several weeks,Mike noticed that John's hair was becoming increasingly
long and very messy. It was clear he had not visited a barber in a long time. One
Saturday morning,Mike decided to introduce himself. He walked up to the porch
with a friendly smile.John welcomed him warmly, and they talked for nearly half
an hour.Mike learned that John had trouble walking due to severe arthritis
in his knees, making even short trips difficult.Going to the barbershop, which
was several blocks away, was almost impossible for him.John also mentioned,
with a hint of embarrassment, that his low income made regular services a
financial burden.
Mike felt a strong urge to help.He remembered a local barber,Mr Rossi,

who sometimes visited his own grandfather. An idea began to form in his mind.He
didn't mention it to John, wanting to see if it was possible first.
The next day,Mike visited Rossi's barbershop. He explained the situation to the
barber,a kind man in his fifties.Mike wondered if he would be willing to make a house
call for a reduced fee.
Mr Rossi listened quietly, cleaning his scissors. He admired Mike's concern
for his neighbor. After a moment,he agreed."I close the shop on Wednesday
afternoons,"he said."I can visit him then.And don't worry about the cost.A
simple haircut for a good cause is enough payment for me."Mike was overjoyed.
He thanked Mr Rossi and left, saying that he would lead Rossi to John's home.
