Tom got up late and missed the school bus.
Tom was probably late for school.(合理,只推一步)
What can we learn from the passage?
What can we infer from the text?
What does the writer probably think?
Which of the following is TRUE?
Which is the best conclusion?
When did Tom go to Beijing?(原文:Tom went to Beijing last summer.)
例:Mary practices basketball every day. 题目:What can we infer about Mary?
She is hardworking.
She smiled when she received the gift.
She was happy about the gift.(一步,合理)
She loves receiving gifts from others.(原文没说她「爱」收礼物)
❌ 推太远:The gift was expensive.(原文没提价格)
原文:He studied for five hours without a break.
✅ 可以推:He worked very hard.(一步,合理)
He wants to be a doctor.(原文没说他的目标)
His parents asked him to study.(原文没提父母)

②「目的/动机」选项:because he wanted… / in order to…
③「未来预测」选项:will / is going to / one day…

with posters of different animals.
1. What can we CORRECTLY infer about Ben? ( )
A. He will become a vet when he grows up.
B. He is passionate about animals.
C. He dislikes all other subjects at school.
D. His parents are animal scientists.

In conclusion / In short / Therefore → 作者的最终立场
Many children spend hours every day looking at screens. While technology
can be useful for learning, spending too much time on screens can harm
children's eyesight and reduce time for physical activity. However, it
is not realistic to ban screens completely. Instead, parents should set
clear time limits and encourage children to balance screen time with
outdoor play and reading. Finding this balance is essential for
children's healthy development.

A. Children should never use screens at all.
B. Screen time should be balanced with other activities.
C. Technology is always harmful to children.
D. Parents should not interfere with their children's screen time.
However, it is not realistic to ban screens completely.
Finding this balance is essential(essential = 关键词)
C:原文说 can be useful → 不是 always harmful ❌
D:原文说 parents should set limits → 与D相反 ❌
2. Which conclusion best represents the writer's message? ( )
A. Technology is ruining children's lives.
B. A healthy balance of screen time and other activities is important.
C. Children should spend most of their time outdoors.
D. All parents are failing to manage their children's screen time.
A:too extreme,
C:推太远,原文没说 most of the time outside ❌
⚡ TRUE/NOT TRUE
第二步:核对程度词(some/all / often/always)

2. Which statement is NOT TRUE according to the passage? ( )
A. The library opens at 8 am on school days.
B. Students must return books within three weeks.
C. The library has a quiet reading corner.
D. Miss Parker reads to students every morning.
A:原文:8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday → 正确 ✅
