Next, we headed to Dali. The first landmark we visited was the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. Standing majestically, these ancient pagodas seemed to tell the long - standing history of Dali. The architecture was a perfect blend of art and wisdom. After that, we drove along the Erhai Lake. The clear water of the lake, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, and the mountains in the distance, made for a tranquil and beautiful view. We stopped at some spots to take photos and enjoy the fresh breeze.

Our journey continued to Lijiang. The moment we entered the ancient city of Lijiang, we were transported back in time. The mottled stone roads, the traditional Naxi - style houses, and the small flowing streams meandering through the city were all enchanting. We strolled around, exploring the local handicraft shops, tasting local snacks like Baba (a kind of pancake), and chatting with the friendly locals. We also watched a Naxi music performance, which was full of ethnic charm.

Finally, we reached Shangri - La. Our first destination there was the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Standing by the gorge, we were in awe of the powerful Jinsha River rushing through the narrow gorge with great force. The thundering sound of the water was like a symphony of nature. Then we visited the Songzanlin Monastery. The magnificent architecture of the monastery, with its golden roofs shining under the sun, and the solemn atmosphere inside, made us feel a deep sense of peace and respect. In the evening, we walked around the Dukezong Ancient City. The yak - butter lamps were lit up one by one, creating a warm and mysterious ambiance.
