①Nowadays, more and more Chinese travelers, especially young people, are going beyond traditional sightseeing. They are looking for deeper connections and more personal experiences during their trips. This change shows a new travel idea that values the quality of experiences over how many places they visit, and real experience over checklist-style tourism.
②According to a recent report by China Youth Daily in May, deep and interesting “slow travel” (55.3%) and traveling on their own (52.3%) have become the most popular types among young Chinese travelers. The same report also says that visiting less famous attractions (41.9%) has become another popular choice, showing that more people prefer (更喜欢) real experiences over crowded (拥挤的) tourist places.
③A good example comes from Quanzhou, Fujian, where college student Yan Ting purposely avoided (避免) popular tourist attractions. She spent her days walking through the old town’s small streets, watching locals make tea and talk with each other, and even joined older people to learn about nanyin—an old music tradition recognized by UNESCO as important cultural heritage.
④The idea of “slow travel” has also grown to include “volunteer tourism”, where travelers help with local community projects. In Qiandongnan, Guizhou, groups of young travelers worked together to help older villagers through different useful activities. They collected oral histories, recorded traditional needlework skills, and helped set up small online museums to save and show local cultural history.
⑤Thinking about her experience, Yan Ting shared: “I didn’t want to just see famous places; I wanted to feel the real life here.” Her words explain the heart of this growing trend—a wish to go beyond surface-level tourism and build real connections with local communities and their way of living.
⑥These slow and significant (有意义的) experiences are truly changing for modern Chinese travelers. They show a basic change in travel values, where the quality of experience and depth of cultural understanding have become more important than just visiting many places. This way of traveling allows young people to return home with not just photos, but with lasting memories and real connections.
49. How does the writer develop the whole passage?
A. By listing numbers to show the trend.
B. By comparing advantages and disadvantages.
C. By giving general ideas and supporting examples.
D. By sharing all kinds of young people’s travel stories.
50. The following sentence would be best placed at the beginning of ________.
Unlike rushed tourists, many young travelers now prefer slow, cultural experiences.
A. Paragraph 2 B. Paragraph 3 C. Paragraph 4 D. Paragraph 5
51. What can we learn about “volunteer tourism” from the text?
A. It requires young people to be very strong.
B. It is only about teaching in local schools.
C. It helps travelers connect with local people and culture.
D. It is the most popular travel style among young people.
52. What is the structure of this passage? (①=Paragraph 1, ②=Paragraph 2…)
A. ①/②③④⑤/⑥ B. ①②/③④⑤/⑥ C. ①②③/④⑤/⑥ D. ①②③/④/⑤⑥
C
Automated (自动化的) kitchens aren’t sci-fi scenes from shows like Star Trek. Right now, robots are used to fry chicken, make pizzas, prepare salads and many more. AI can invent recipes(食谱) based on what a kitchen has. More modern ideas are in development to automate kitchens for fine dining.
Since technology is possibly expensive at first, restaurants and other businesses are the first ones to use AI kitchen technologies. Over time, prices are likely to fall enough for the home market, changing how homes and society work.
The benefits of AI kitchens include helping cooks to avoid boring tasks such as peeling potatoes or standing at a workstation for hours. It can free up time, allowing people to focus on more important tasks. For personalized eating, AI can fit countless special diets and tastes to meet needs.
However, there are risks to humans happiness. Cooking is a good activity that helps with communication and self-expression, but these benefits (益处) could be reduced if the human involvement(参与) becomes unnecessary. Family relationships might be influenced without the teamwork in the kitchen.
Moreover, the kitchen acts as the household’s science laboratory, playing an important role in science education. The art of cooking helps kids learn about materials, chemistry and problem-solving.
Cultural risks must also be considered. For example, AI could mess up traditional recipes and methods, as it often oversimplifies (过度简化) cultural details. This may result in AI and robot cooks producing fewer kinds of dishes. Depending too heavily on technology in meal creation may result in a shortage of diversity (多样性), resulting in a sameness in taste, similar to the strange feel of AI art images across different apps.
Convenience can come at a great cost, so it’s important to consider the possible social disruptions (扰乱) that new technologies might bring, especially in areas like food that are closely tied to our everyday lives.
53. Why are restaurants the first to use AI kitchen technologies?
A. They are more interested in automation. B. They can pay the high costs.
C. They have more space for robots. D. They want to attract more customers.
54. Which of the following risks of AI cooking to humans is NOT mentioned (提及)?
A. Family relationship might be affected.
B. Kids can’t learn about science in the kitchen.
C. There will be not so many kinds of dishes.
D. The AI art images in different apps have a strange feel.
55. How could AI possibly harm cultural diversity in food?
A. By taking the place of human cooks. B. By encouraging home cooking.
C. By focusing personalized eating. D. By oversimplifying traditional recipes.
56. What is the writer’s attitude (态度) toward the widespread use of AI kitchens?
A. Positive. B. Negative (消极的). C. Cautious. (谨慎的) D. Unclear.
D
The Marionette, as soon as his hunger was comforted, started to complain and cry that he wanted a new pair of feet.
But Mastro Geppetto, in order to punish him for his mischief (淘气), let him alone the whole morning. After dinner, he said to him: “Why should I make your feet over again? To see you run away from home once more?”
“I promise (保证) you,” answered the Marionette “that from now on I’ll be good.”
“Boys always promise that when they want something,” said Geppetto. “I promise to go to school every day, to study, and to succeed.”
“Boys always sing that song when they want their own will.”
“But Pinocchio is not like other boys! I am better than all of them and I always tell the truth. I promise you, Father, that I’ll learn a skill, and I’ll be the comfort of your old age.”
Geppetto, though trying to look very stern, felt his eyes fill with tears and his heart softened when he saw Pinocchio so unhappy. He said no more, but taking his tools and two pieces of wood, he set to work.
In less than an hour the feet were finished, strong and quick, modeled as if by an artist’s hands.
“Close your eyes and sleep!” Geppetto then said to the Marionette.
Pinocchio closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep, while Geppetto stuck on the two feet with a bit of glue melted in an eggshell.
The Marionette felt his new feet, and started to skip and jump around, as if he had lost his head from very joy.
“To show you how thankful I am to you, Father, I’ll go to school now. But to go to school I need a suit of clothes.”
Geppetto did not have a penny in his pocket, so he made his son a little suit of flowered paper, a pair of shoes from the bark of a tree, and a tiny cap from a bit of dough.
Pinocchio ran to look at himself in a bowl of water, and he felt so happy that he said proudly: “Now I look like a gentleman.”
“Truly,” answered Geppetto, “But remember that fine clothes do not make the man unless they are tidy and clean.”
“Very true,” answered Pinocchio, “but, in order to go to school, I still need something very important.”
“What is it?”
“An A-B-C book.”
Putting on his old coat, full of darns and patches (补丁), he ran out of the house without another word. After a while he returned. In his hands, he had the A-B-C book for his son, but the old coat was gone. The poor father was in his shirt sleeves (袖子) and it was cold.

In traditional Chinese culture, willow branches (柳枝) are more than common plants—they are a gentle but ____66____ (mean) symbol of farewell (告别) with a long history. As one of ____67____ (old ) traditions, it still touches people’s hearts. People choose willows ____68____ (express) true feelings, not by chance.

Today, this tradition hasn’t disappeared. Every spring, willows turn green. People pick branches while taking photos—children laugh ____73____ (happy), and elders share stories.
Have you ever noticed small details that others miss? Do you often think deeply about things? If so, you might be one of the Highly Sensitive (敏感) People (HSP). Research shows that about 30% of people are born with this special feature. It is not a weakness or a flaw—it is actually a unique gift that allows you to experience the world in a deeper way.
Highly sensitive people do with information more completely than others. They often notice small changes, unspoken feelings, and creative ideas that many might miss. This quality brings many advantages (优点). The most well-known is creativity. In fact, many famous artists, musicians, and scientists are highly sensitive.
Besides creativity, sensitive people are also good at decision-making. Studies have found that they perform better in tasks that need them to recognize (识别) patterns and make thoughtful choices. Another important advantage is the “Boost Effect”. It means that highly sensitive people benefit more from training, support, and positive environments. For example, in marriage counseling (婚姻咨询) programs, sensitive couples showed greater improvement and higher joy after receiving guidance.
For students who are highly sensitive, this feature can be a powerful tool in learning. They often benefit from quiet study environments, detailed instructions, and chances to think deeply on what they learn. Teachers can help by offering encouragement and allowing them to express their ideas in creative ways. By using their sensitivity, these students can have a better understanding and remaining of knowledge.
You cannot change your natural sensitivity, and you should not try to hide it. The best way is to accept it and use it as a strength. Learn to value your deep feelings and careful thinking. Show your true self to the world. Whether in study or in life, sensitivity is not a burden— it is a gift waiting to be opened.

A. ①/②③④⑤/⑥ B. ①②/③④⑤/⑥ C. ①②③/④⑤/⑥ D. ①②③/④/⑤⑥
C 50. B 51. C 52. A
句子“Unlike rushed tourists, many young travelers now prefer slow, cultural experiences.”
第④段“volunteer tourism... worked together to help older villagers... They collected oral histories, recorded traditional needlework skills, and helped set up small online museums to save and show local cultural history.”
C. Cautious. (谨慎的) D. Unclear.
B 54. D 55. D 56. C
根据第二段“Since technology is possibly expensive at first, restaurants and other businesses are the first ones to use AI kitchen technologies.”
根据文章内容,文中明确提到的AI烹饪风险包括:①家庭关系可能受影响(对应A选项,第四段提到“Family relationships might be influenced without the teamwork in the kitchen”);②菜肴种类可能减少(对应C选项,第五段提到“This may result in AI and robot cooks producing fewer kinds of dishes”)。
根据第五段“AI could mess up traditional recipes and methods, as it often oversimplifies cultural details. This may result in AI and robot cooks producing fewer kinds of dishes. Depending too heavily on technology in meal creation may result in a shortage of diversity...”
根据最后一段“Convenience can come at a great cost, so it’s important to consider the possible social disruptions that new technologies might bring, especially in areas like food that are closely tied to our everyday lives.”

—Adapted from The Adventures of Pinocchio

A. The Marionette and Pinocchio are friends.
B. Pinocchio would share his suit with Geppetto.
C. Geppetto sold his old coat for the A-B-C book.
D. Pinocchio didn’t go to school because he had no new feet.
60. What is the best title for the story?
A. A dishonest boy B. A poor family C. A New Pair of Feet D. An A-B-C Book
B 58. A 59. C 60. D
根据文中第7段“Geppetto, though trying to look very stern, felt his eyes fill with tears and his heart soften...”
梳理故事发展顺序:文中第2段提到“To see you run away from home once more?”,说明Pinocchio之前曾离家出走(d);故事开始时Pinocchio哭闹想要新脚(b);文中第6段“But Pinocchio is not like other boys!...I promise you, Father, ... He said no more, but taking his tools and two pieces of wood, he set to work.”匹诺曹做出承诺后,Geppetto内心被打动(e);文中第12和13段“To show you how thankful I am to you, Father, I’ll go to school now. But to go to school I need a suit of clothes...Geppetto did not have a penny in his pocket, so he made his son a little suit of flowered paper, a pair of shoes from the bark of a tree, and a tiny cap from a bit of dough.”说明了做好脚后,Pinocchio要衣服,Geppetto用纸做了一套衣服(c);最后一段中“In his hands, he had the A-B-C book for his son, but the old coat was gone. ”说明了Geppetto为了Pinocchio卖外套换回了书(a)。正确顺序为d-b-e-c-a。
【59题详解】
根据文章最后一段中“In his hands, he had the A-B-C book for his son, but the old coat was gone. The poor father was in his shirt sleeves and it was cold.” (Geppetto sold his old coat for the A-B-C book)。
