The trouble began when someone wrote something meaning “fool,” on the back of his school uniform. Some boys laughed and called him an idiot (傻瓜). He felt hurt and helpless. For two days, he stayed silent because he worried his uniform would not dry properly after washing. When he finally told his mother, she was heartbroken. She thought about contacting the school, but he wanted to handle the situation himself at the next class meeting.
A viral video shows the boy standing calmly at the podium (讲台) and speaking to the bullies. He asked his classmates to imagine how they would feel if someone mocked (嘲弄) them in the same way. He reminded them that, as class monitor, he had always worked to protect everyone’s interests.
The classmates who mocked him were moved to tears and apologized. The teacher praised the boy for his maturity (成熟). His mother later wrote online that she was deeply touched by her son’s courage. She said he had gone from a silent sufferer to a brave fighter. Speaking up for himself at the podium was something she could not have dared to do in her over forty years of life.

There is one mysterious painting in the world: The Lute Player by the Italian painter Caravaggio. It has three very similar versions, and most people cannot tell the differences between them.
To art experts, there has been agreement that the paintings held by Russia’s Hermitage Museum and France’s Wildenstein Collection were created by the artist, while the one at Britain’s Badminton House is a copy.
Artificial intelligence (AI) begged to differ. In September 2025, Swiss AI company Art Recognition said there’s an almost 86 percent chance that Badminton House’s painting is real, while Wildenstein’s one is likely a copy.
This case shows the new role that AI plays in authenticating (鉴定) art. In the past, it was up to human experts to decide ★ . They tell real artworks apart from copies using their deep knowledge of artists and modern technologies such as infrared imaging (红外成像).
Now, AI might serve as another cool tool in experts’ toolboxes. The technology can study small details (细节) in artworks. It then compares these details with real works by the same artist to find differences that experts and other scientific methods might miss.
However, many experts don’t fully trust AI for identifying (识别) real art. They pointed out that AI can give results without explaining how it reached them. Also, proper training on AI will require thousands of images, but few artists have produced that many works. Artists may also change their style suddenly, so AI that only looks for fixed patterns can easily make mistakes.
AI should be used together with other methods, not to give final answers. “I strongly believe that the future of art authentication lies in teamwork between AI and experts,” Art Recognition’s CEO Carina Popovici told ART news.
36. According to AI, in which country is the painting considered a copy?
A. B. C. D.
37. Which of the following can be put in the ★ ?
A. if a painting was real B. what to do with artworks
C. how to make use of technology D. that authenticating wasn’t necessary
38. What main question did Paragraph 6 answer?
A. What mistakes may AI make?
B. How is AI used in identifying art?
C. Why do some artists change their styles?
D. How many artworks are needed to train AI?
39. Which Chinese sentence might Popovici believe?
A. 以人为本,智能向善 B. 智能驱动,创新引领
C. 跨界融合,人机协同 D. 伦理先行,法治保障
40. What’s the writing purpose of this passage?
A. To explain the ideas behind AI.
B. To discuss the role of AI in art.
C. To argue AI’s influence over humans.
D. To present an AI problem-solving case.
【答案】36. D 37. A 38. A 39. C 40. B

【导语】本文以卡拉瓦乔画作《The Lute Player》的真伪鉴别为例,探讨了人工智能在艺术品鉴定中的作用、优势、局限,以及未来“人机协作”的发展方向。

文中第三段提到“Swiss AI company Art Recognition said there’s an almost 86 percent chance that Badminton House’s painting is real, while Wildenstein’s one is likely a copy.”,其中 Wildenstein Collection位于法国(对应巴黎埃菲尔铁塔,选项D),因此AI认为法国的这幅画是复制品。
【37题详解】
文中第四段提到:“They tell real artworks apart from copies using their deep knowledge of artists and modern technologies such as infrared imaging.”这句话说明人类专家的工作是区分真品与复制品,因此前文提到的“it was up to human experts to decide ____”,空处应填入与“判断画作真伪”相关的内容,对应选项A。
【38题详解】
第六段提到“many experts don’t fully trust AI...They pointed out that AI can give results without explaining how it reached them. Also, proper training on AI will require thousands of images...Artists may also change their style suddenly, so AI that only looks for fixed patterns can easily make mistakes.”,回答了“AI可能会犯什么错误”这一问题。
【39题详解】
文中第七段提到Carina Popovici的观点:“the future of art authentication lies in teamwork between AI and experts”,即她认为艺术品鉴定的未来在于AI与专家的协作,对应选项C“跨界融合,人机协同”。
【40题详解】
全文围绕AI在艺术品鉴定中的角色展开,介绍了其优势、局限与未来方向,因此写作目的是探讨AI在艺术领域的作用。

Many people travel to different places in the world by air. Usually it takes a long time, perhaps half a day, for passengers to finish their flight. So airlines offer passengers food. But it is common that they feel bad about food taste. Do you agree?
To solve this problem, airlines try hard to improve their food. They would like to do so because they don’t want to lose ____46____ (customer).
However, according to scientific research, part of the reason why plane food tastes bad is that at high altitude we can not taste things as well ____47____ we do on the ground. Also scientists have found that our noses become very dry even before a plane takes off. As the plane moves up, the change in air pressure reduces one ____48____ (three) of the sensitivity of our taste buds (味蕾). So our taste buds become senseless. ____49____ sad fact, however, is that our noses don’t know it.
All of these help explain why food on the plane ____50____ (taste) so bad. They also help explain why airlines choose to offer passengers salty and spicy food. Without doing so, the food would be tasteless.
Now there are many research studies on this. According to one ____51____ them, some volunteers are ____52____ (ask) to lie with their feet higher than their heads for weeks. And scientists write down ____53____ (they) feelings about food taste.
Though scientists try their best, it is not as easy as they thought. Because they can’t deal with the special environment ____54____ (successful), such as the change in air pressure, ____55____ (make) food taste good is still hard for them.
【答案】46. customers
47. as 48. third

例文
Managing emotions is very important for teenagers. Last month, I had a big fight with my best friend. We both said hurtful words. I felt upset and couldn’t focus on study.
To deal with it, I took a deep breath and calmed down. Then I wrote a letter to say sorry. My friend replied and we made up. I learned to express feelings in a proper way.
My advice is to talk to someone you trust when you feel bad. Doing sports or listening to music also helps. Don’t keep bad feelings inside. Stay positive and learn to forgive.

Chichi shows the style of the Tang Dynasty. It is a Three-maned Horse. Its mane (鬃毛) is shaped into three bunches. This style was for the highest-ranking horses long ago. Chichi looks brave and strong.
Chengcheng is a Przewalski’s horse (普氏野马)—the only wild horse species alive today! China now has the world’s largest number of them. This is a great achievement in wildlife protection. Chengcheng looks strong and fit, showing the good relationship between humans and the earth.
