This book has taught me not to give up or doubt myself. I’m inspired by how hard the fisherman fights, even though he loses the fish in the end. As Hemingway said, “Man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” Even though I’ve already read the book three times, I’m not tired of it yet. If you’ve never read Ernest Hemingway, I recommend this book.

My favourite book is Robinson Crusoe. It was written by the English writer Daniel Defoe in 1719. It is a very famous classic book. Millions of people around the world have read it and think it is a great masterpiece. The main character is Robinson Crusoe.
The story is about his adventure on a lonely island. One day, his ship sank in a terrible storm, and he was the only one who survived. He had to build a house and grow food by himself. Later, he saved a man and named him Friday. After living on the island for 28 years, Robinson finally returned home. This book has taught me a lot. I have learnt that we should never give up when we face difficulties. I think it is an exciting and meaningful book because Robinson is very brave and clever. Even though I have already read it twice, I still love it. If you like adventure stories, I highly recommend this book to you.
