They are just as culturally rich, just as atmospheric, and have no less potential for exploration. Akureyri, Iceland While Reykjavik is the first port of call for travellers looking to explore Iceland’s typical landscapes, Akureyri to the north has everything the capital offers. In fact, opportunities to see both the Northern Lights and whales, two of Iceland’s greatest draws, are greater in the north of the country, and its scenery is similar to that of the lunar surface, full of mystery and wonders. Saint-Louis, Senegal Senegal is one of the most beautiful countries to visit in West Africa. While Dakar is by far the largest city, it’s Saint-Louis that tends to truly win the hearts of visitors. The history here is rich, but what stands out is just how well-preserved it is. That preserved old-world beauty helped earn the city UNESCO World Heritage status. Chiang Mai, Thailand Nestled among misty mountains, Chiang Mai offers a perfect combination of ancient tradition and modern creativity. Visitors can wander through ancient temple ruins like Wat Chedi Luang and explore energetic night markets stocked with both local crafts and the region’s famous dishes, like khao soi, a rich, coconut-based curry noodle soup. Christchurch, New Zealand Known as the “Garden City”, Christchurch provides its own unique combination of history, modern creativity, and natural beauty. After an extensive reconstruction in the wake of the destructive 2011 earthquakes, visitors can now discover a mix of unique architecture, street art and exciting modern dining options, all wrapped up in the city’s historic and unmatched charm. 1. What can visitors do in Akureyri, Iceland? A. Feed rare wild animals. B. Appreciate excellent street art. C. Enjoy unique natural scenery. D. Visit buildings in different styles. 2. What is a feature of Saint-Louis, Senegal? A. It is well-known for its modern creativity. B. Its tradition has been protected well. C. Its local food and night markets stand out. D. It is the largest and most popular city in Senegal. 3. Which of the following was destroyed by a natural disaster? A. Akureyri, Iceland. B. Saint-Louis, Senegal. C. Chiang Mai, Thailand. D. Christchurch, New Zealand. C 2. B 3. 根据Akureyri, Iceland部分的句子“In fact, opportunities to see both the Northern Lights and whales, two of Iceland’s greatest draws, are greater in the north of the country, and its scenery is similar to that of the lunar surface, full of mystery and wonders. (事实上,观赏北极光和鲸鱼——冰岛两大最吸引人的景观——的机会在该国北部更多,而且那里的风景类似月球表面,充满神秘与奇迹)”可知,游客在阿库雷里可以欣赏独特的自然风光。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据Saint-Louis, Senegal部分的句子“The history here is rich, but what stands out is just how well-preserved it is. That preserved old-world beauty helped earn the city UNESCO World Heritage status. (这里的历史非常丰富,但最突出的是它保存得多么完好。这种保存下来的旧世界之美帮助该市获得了联合国教科文组织世界遗产地位)”可知,圣路易的特色是其传统得到了良好保护。 【3题详解】 细节理解题。根据Christchurch, New Zealand部分的句子“After an extensive reconstruction in the wake of the destructive 2011 earthquakes, visitors can now discover a mix of unique architecture, street art and exciting modern dining options, all wrapped up in the city’s historic and unmatched charm. (在2011年破坏性地震之后经过大规模重建,游客现在可以发现独特的建筑、街头艺术和令人兴奋的现代餐饮选择的融合,所有这些都被这座城市的历史和无与伦比的魅力所包围。)”可知,基督城曾在2011年被地震这一自然灾害摧毁。 B Though the 2026 Winter Games have come and gone, one future Olympic hopeful stays focused on the next games. Seventeen-year-old Quinn Derheimer is chasing his 2030 Olympic dream in competitive speed skating. Quinn started on the ice at a young age. “I started hockey (冰球) when I was 5 years old. One day a team of speed skaters asked if I wanted to try on some speed skates and the rest is history.” He fell in love with the sport and began to train. After practicing at a nearby ice skating ground and reaching a high level in the sport, Quinn and his family made the decision to train at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, despite living in Greenwood, Indiana. Quinn and his dad travel every Monday to Milwaukee for a week of training and back home to Indiana on weekends. With much hard work comes a lot of success and glory. Quinn must train, research, eat well, and do more to pursue a path to the Olympics. In middle school, Quinn joined Indiana Gateway Digital Academy, a remote school program that allows him more flexibility in his training. He wakes up at 5 a.m. to practice before online learning begins and he is back to practice after school. He must wake up early for lifting, and then skate in the afternoon, with only a short two-month off-season. All his hard work is paying off. Quinn is now nationally ranked and has competed in the Junior World Cup for speed skating. Even though Quinn is a nationally ranked speed skater, he makes sure to find time for his education. “The teachers are very flexible, and I try to fit in schoolwork along with family time,” he said. Significant sacrifice goes into making Quinn’s Olympic dream possible, but he believes it is all worth it. “You have to stay focused on what your goal is, one day at a time, one step at a time; don’t rush it.” 4. What made Quinn Derheimer take up speed skating? A. Interest in hockey. B. A chance opportunity. C. Desire to make history. D. Early ice sports training. 5. Why does Quinn stay in Milwaukee during weekdays? A. To look for new skating partners. B. To watch important skating games. C. To receive more professional training. D. To get medical treatment for his injury. 6. Why can Quinn balance training and study? A. He trains in the evening. B. His parents plan his time well. C. His teachers give him much extra help. D. His online school offers him a flexible schedule. 7. What is Quinn’s attitude towards achieving his Olympic dream? A. Optimistic. B. Worried. C. Cautious. D. Casual. B 5. C 6. D 7. 根据第二段““I started hockey (冰球) when I was 5 years old. One day a team of speed skaters asked if I wanted to try on some speed skates and the rest is history.” He fell in love with the sport and began to train.(“我5岁开始打冰球。有一天,一队速滑运动员问我想不想试穿一下速滑冰鞋,接下来的事大家都知道了。”他爱上了这项运动并开始训练)”可知,奎因是因为一次偶然机会接触到速滑,从而爱上并从事这项运动。 【5题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段“After practicing at a nearby ice skating ground and reaching a high level in the sport, Quinn and his family made the decision to train at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, despite living in Greenwood, Indiana. Quinn and his dad travel every Monday to Milwaukee for a week of training and back home to Indiana on weekends.(在附近的溜冰场练习并在这项运动中达到较高水平后,尽管家在印第安纳州格林伍德,奎因和他的家人还是决定去威斯康星州密尔沃基的佩蒂特国家冰上运动中心训练。奎因和他父亲每周一前往密尔沃基进行为期一周的训练,周末再回到印第安纳州的家)”可知,奎因平日待在密尔沃基是为了接受更专业的训练。 【6题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段“In middle school, Quinn joined Indiana Gateway Digital Academy, a remote school program that allows him more flexibility in his training.(中学时,奎因参加了印第安纳网关数字学院,这是一个远程学校项目,让他在训练上有了更大的灵活性)”可知,奎因能平衡训练和学习是因为他的在线学校为他提供了灵活的课程安排。 根据最后一段“Significant sacrifice goes into making Quinn’s Olympic dream possible, but he believes it is all worth it. “You have to stay focused on what your goal is, one day at a time, one step at a time; don’t rush it.”(为了实现奎因的奥运梦想,他做出了巨大的牺牲,但他认为这一切都是值得的。“你必须专注于自己的目标,一天一步,不要急于求成”)”可知,奎因坚信自己的付出是值得的,对实现奥运梦想持乐观态度。 C Start with small things: switching to a reusable water bottle, and then working on weaning yourself off paper towels. And there are different ways, you know. Then, maybe you want to start buying local food and eating less meat. I mean, don’t think that you have to do everything at once; take one step at a time and then it’s not as scary. This is our semi-annual textile (纺织品) drive. We run two a year. We also run two e-waste drives, so four drives a year. And for this one we partner with Wearable Collections to properly recycle all of the unwanted textiles so that they don’t wind up in the waste stream. The goal is that 50 percent of them will be reused, upcycled and worn again. It’s one of our zero waste workshops, part of a new series that we’re partnering on. And it’s basically a workshop for everyday New Yorkers to come and learn how they can live a zero waste lifestyle — one in which they’re throwing fewer things into landfill, doing more recycling and composting, and actually being heedful of the products they purchase so that they can purchase items that have a beneficial reuse. It’s summer over there. We’re already swimming. Everybody brings in all of the clothes that they’re not using anymore. And we all trade and swap and people end up with new items. Anything left over gets donated. We’ve had a huge number of people coming from all different Broadway shows and from the neighborhood and offices in the community to bring their textiles. I think the more we bring the public into our work, the more efficient it will be, the stronger our relationship grows, and the greater progress we can make. 8. What does the author say about zero waste? A. It values big changes for the environment. B. It encourages the use of plenty of paper towels. C. It needs a perfect plan before taking action. D. It should be carried out step by step. 9. What does the underlined word “heedful” in paragraph 3 probably mean? A. Mindful. B. Tolerant. C. Fond. D. Critical. 10. What can be inferred about the activity described in paragraph 4? A. It is held to promote Broadway shows. B. It helps reduce textile waste in the community. C. It aims to collect clothes for the swimming pool. D. It is organized to sell old clothes at a low price. 11. What’s the text mainly about? A. Where to recycle textiles. B. What zero waste workshops bring. C. How to achieve zero waste. D. Why zero waste matters so much. D 9. A 10. B 11. 根据第一段的句子“I mean, don’t think that you have to do everything at once; take one step at a time and then it's not as scary. (我的意思是,不要觉得你必须一次性做完所有事情;一步一步来,这样就不会那么可怕)”可知,作者认为零废弃应该逐步实施。 【9题详解】 词句猜测题。根据第三段划线单词所在的句子“actually being heedful of the products they purchase so that they can purchase items that have a beneficial reuse (实际上对他们购买的产品保持heedful,以便他们能购买具有有益再利用价值的物品)”,结合前文“throwing fewer things into landfill, doing more recycling and composting (减少填埋垃圾、增加回收和堆肥)”可知,只有多注意,多留心,才能购买具有有益再利用价值的物品,所以划线单词heedful意为"注意的、留心的”,与mindful意思相近。 【10题详解】 推理判断题。根据第四段的描述“Everybody brings in all of the clothes that they're not using anymore. And we all trade and swap and people end up with new items. Anything left over gets donated. (每个人都带来不再使用的衣服。我们互相交换,人们最终得到新物品。剩下的都捐赠出去)”可知,这项活动通过交换和捐赠旧衣物,有助于减少社区纺织品浪费。 【11题详解】 主旨大意题。全文围绕零废弃生活方式展开,从如何逐步开始(从小事做起)、零废弃工作坊的具体活动(纺织品回收、交换),到公众参与的意义,核心内容是介绍如何实现零废弃。 D This is how these young engineers imagine Jacksonville, a coastal city in Florida in the next 100 years. The model called Agua Prope, meaning clean water, was presented by a team of middle school students from Houston at the Future City Nationals in Washington, DC. The students’ goal was to build a city with a clean and reliable water system. Many members on the Houston team come from Karachi, Pakistan’s largest and most populated city, where water shortages and the lack of access to clean water are persistent problems. Karachi is very underdeveloped right now. A lot of people are on the streets; they don’t have water to drink or they’re drinking polluted water and are badly in need of money. It’s very hard to even take showers over there. The water there costs a lot, and sometimes it’s polluted, which sometimes causes problems such as diarrhea (腹泻), and you don’t have water in the house for days. Students on the Houston team say their model includes a strong system that monitors supply and demand, storage, filtration (过滤), and diversion of conventional as well as flood waters across the Jacksonville landscape. Their project is Agua Prope, located in Jacksonville, Florida. The main problems in Jacksonville are storm surges, hurricanes and floods. Actually a lot of problems caused by water shortage and pollution are going on internationally right now. Organizers say some models are actually put into practice. They’re not only asking the participants to think about these challenges, but also empowering them in their solutions. This model calls for technology so advanced that it will be decades before it can be realized. But the students say they hope one day within the next 50 years, their vision of a clean water city will become a reality. 12. What inspired the students to design the Agua Prope project? A. Their personal experience of severe water problems. B. The flood control problems in their hometown. C. The request from the Jacksonville government. D. A competition prize for building water systems. 13. What do we learn about the Agua Prope project? A. It can predict natural disasters correctly. B. It takes various water problems into consideration. C. It gets widely recognized by governments. D. It centers on landscape improvement of cities. 14. Why will it take so long to apply this model entirely? A. Because Jacksonville refuses to use it. B. Because it proves harmful to the environment. C. Because the government hasn’t provided funds. D. Because the required technology is still unavailable. 15. Which of the following can be the best title for the text? A. Lack of Clean Water in Future Cities B. Popularity of Future City Competition C. Vision of Future Urban Water Supply D. Standards for Future Urban Construction 【答案】12. A 13. B 14. D 15. C 【解析】 【导语】主要讲述一群来自休斯顿的中学生在华盛顿特区的“未来城市全国赛”上展示了名为Agua Prope(意为清洁水)的模型,这是他们对佛罗里达州沿海城市杰克逊维尔未来100年的设想。 【12题详解】 推理判断题。根据第二段“Many members on the Houston team come from Karachi, Pakistan’s largest and most populated city, where water shortages and the lack of access to clean water are persistent problems. Karachi is very underdeveloped right now. A lot of people are on the streets; they don’t have water to drink or they’re drinking polluted water and are badly in need of money. It’s very hard to even take showers over there. The water there costs a lot, and sometimes it’s polluted, which sometimes causes problems such as diarrhea (腹泻), and you don’t have water in the house for days.(休斯顿团队的许多成员来自巴基斯坦人口最多的大城市卡拉奇,那里水资源短缺和缺乏清洁水是长期存在的问题。卡拉奇目前非常不发达。很多人流落街头;他们没有水喝,或者喝着被污染的水,而且急需钱。在那里甚至很难洗上澡。那里的水很贵,有时还被污染,这有时会导致腹泻等问题,而且家里好几天都没有水)”可知,学生们在卡拉奇亲身经历的严重水问题激发了他们设计Agua Prope项目。 【13题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段“Students on the Houston team say their model includes a strong system that monitors supply and demand, storage, filtration (过滤), and diversion of conventional as well as flood waters across the Jacksonville landscape. Their project is Agua Prope, located in Jacksonville, Florida. The main problems in Jacksonville are storm surges, hurricanes and floods. Actually a lot of problems caused by water shortage and pollution are going on internationally right now.(休斯顿团队的学生表示,他们的模型包含一个强大的系统,可监测杰克逊维尔地区常规用水及洪水的供应与需求、储存、过滤和引流。他们的项目是位于佛罗里达州杰克逊维尔的Agua Prope。杰克逊维尔的主要问题是风暴潮、飓风和洪水。实际上,目前国际上存在许多由水资源短缺和污染引发的问题)”可知,Agua Prope项目考虑到了诸如水资源短缺、污染以及杰克逊维尔特有的风暴潮、飓风和洪水等各种水问题。 【14题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段“This model calls for technology so advanced that it will be decades before it can be realized.(这个模型需要如此先进的技术,以至于可能需要几十年才能实现)”可知,完全应用这个模型需要很长时间是因为所需技术目前还无法实现。 【15题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第一段“This is how these young engineers imagine Jacksonville, a coastal city in Florida in the next 100 years. The model called Agua Prope, meaning clean water, was presented by a team of middle school students from Houston at the Future City Nationals in Washington, DC. The students’ goal was to build a city with a clean and reliable water system.(这些年轻的工程师就是这样设想佛罗里达州沿海城市杰克逊维尔在未来100年后的样子。 For much of human history, people squatted (蹲下) on the ground to eat, tell stories or play with their families. Even today, children in kindergarten and camp enjoy sitting on the ground to play games or sing songs. Most adults, on the other hand, have given up the ground for the comfort of chairs. This comfort comes with a price: workers sit in chairs working all day. ____16____ Getting Started The good news is that research shows sitting on the floor can support your health. Sitting cross-legged on the floor is one of the ten healthy habits. ____17____ Experts recommend spending 15 to 30 minutes sitting on the floor every day. Popular Floor-Sitting Positions The following popular floor-sitting methods are the best ways to get started. ____18____ The cross-legged position is best for beginners and easiest to maintain for extended periods of sitting. To try it out, have your legs crossed in front of you with your hands on your knees. Keep your back straight. ____19____ It requires kneeling with the tops of the feet flat on the floor and sitting back on the heels (脚后跟). The knees are kept close together, and the hands rest on the thighs (大腿). The backbone should remain straight, as in the cross-legged position. If you’re on the go, the squatting position allows for active sitting and mobility. ____20____ Lower yourself into a squat, keeping your chest up and heels down, with your arms resting on your knees for stability. A. And it can have serious effects on their health. B. Sitting on the floor isn’t just a change of position. C. The kneeling position helps you build leg strength. D. It can help reduce back aches and everyday pain. E. Beginners had better choose the one that is most comfortable. F. Place your feet on the floor, keeping them shoulder-width apart. G. Newcomers to floor sitting start gradually to build strength without discomfort. 【答案】16. A 17. D 18. E 19. C 20. F 【解析】 【导语】文章系统介绍了“坐地上”这一健康生活方式的益处与实操方法。 【16题详解】 空格前“This comfort comes with a price: workers sit in chairs working all day. (这种舒适是有代价的:上班族整天坐在椅子上工作。)”提到久坐的代价,空格后转入介绍“坐地上有益健康”。A选项“And it can have serious effects on their health. (而且这会对他们的健康产生严重影响。)”中的“And it”指代前文“久坐”的行为,直接点明久坐的健康危害,完美衔接“舒适有代价”和“坐地上有益健康”的逻辑转折。 【17题详解】 空格前“The good news is that research shows sitting on the floor can support your health. Sitting cross-legged on the floor is one of the ten healthy habits.(好消息是,研究表明坐在地上有益健康。盘腿坐是十大健康习惯之一。)”引出坐地上的健康益处,空格后提到“Experts recommend spending 15 to 30 minutes sitting on the floor every day.(专家建议每天花15到30分钟坐在地上。)”。D选项“It can help reduce back aches and everyday pain.(它有助于缓解背痛和日常疼痛。)”中的“It”指代前文“坐在地上”,具体解释了健康益处是什么,与后文“专家建议”形成逻辑呼应。 【18题详解】 空格前“The following popular floor-sitting methods are the best ways to get started.(以下流行的坐姿方法是入门的最佳选择。)”引出不同坐姿,空格后介绍“The cross-legged position is best for beginners and easiest to maintain for extended periods of sitting.(盘腿坐姿最适合初学者,也最容易长时间保持。)”。E选项“Beginners had better choose the one that is most comfortable.(初学者最好选择最舒服的坐姿。)”承接了前文“入门选择”的观点,又引出后文“盘腿坐姿适合初学者”的具体建议,让段落逻辑更连贯。 【19题详解】 空格后“It requires kneeling with the tops of the feet flat on the floor and sitting back on the heels (脚后跟). (它需要膝盖跪地,脚背贴地,坐在脚后跟上。)”描述了一种坐姿的具体动作,这种坐姿是跪坐。C选项“The kneeling position helps you build leg strength. (跪坐姿势有助于锻炼腿部力量。)”直接点明了这种坐姿的名称和好处,与后文动作描述形成完美呼应。 【20题详解】 空格前“If you’re on the go, the squatting position allows for active sitting and mobility. (如果你在忙碌中,蹲坐姿势可以让你在活动中坐着。)”引出蹲坐姿势,空格后提到“Lower yourself into a squat, keeping your chest up and heels down, with your arms resting on your knees for stability.(慢慢蹲下,挺胸,脚跟着地,手臂放在膝盖上保持稳定。)”。F选项“Place your feet on the floor, keeping them shoulder-width apart.(把脚放在地上,与肩同宽。)”是蹲坐的前置动作,与后文“慢慢蹲下”的指令形成连贯的动作指导。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 This is an exciting story. The air was thick with the promise of a storm, and he quickened his pace, hoping to avoid the downpour. Tomorrow was the final exam for his most challenging subject, physics, and he had planned a full evening of revision. Every minute counted. As he cut through the small, deserted park near his apartment, a faint, whimpering sound caught his attention. It was so soft that it was almost carried away by the rising wind. Curiosity getting the better of him, Liam stopped and looked carefully under a dense bush near the path. There, huddled and shivering, was a small, muddy kitten (小猫). Its fur was wet, and one of its back legs was injured. The kitten looked up at him, and it let out another pitiful meow. Liam’s heart sank. He was in a rush. He had a crucial exam to prepare for. His parents would likely be hesitant about bringing a stray animal home. He couldn’t decide whether to save it or not. He even took a few steps forward, trying to ignore the pleading look in the kitten’s eyes. But the image of the helpless creature, alone and injured in the upcoming storm, was too much to bear. He thought of his own beloved pet dog at home, safe and warm. What if it were him, scared and hurting? He struggled internally for a moment. Sighing, he knelt down, leaving his schoolbooks on the wet ground behind him. “Hey there, little one,” he said in the gentlest voice. “You can’t stay here.” He slowly unzipped his school jacket, ignoring the cold wind. The kitten moved back in fear but was too weak to resist as Liam carefully wrapped it in his jacket. Holding the tiny creature close to his chest, he stood up. His revision plans were completely overturned. His priority was now clear. 注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Liam decided to take the kitten to the nearest veterinary (兽医的) clinic. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Upon arriving home, Liam was met with surprise from his parents. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Liam decided to take the kitten to the nearest veterinary clinic. Shielding the tiny creature from the pouring rain with his jacket, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him. By the time he burst through the clinic door, his clothes were soaked and his heart was pounding. The vet gently unwrapped the muddy bundle and examined the kitten’s swollen leg. So anxious was Liam that he barely noticed the storm raging outside. When the vet assured him the kitten would recover with proper rest, Liam finally breathed a sigh of relief, though he realized his physics revision plan lay in ruins. Upon arriving home, Liam was met with surprise from his parents. Their eyes widened at the sight of their son, dripping wet and cradling a muddy, bandaged kitten. Liam explained how he had found the helpless creature in the park and couldn't leave it to suffer. His father frowned at first, but as the kitten let out a soft purr in Liam’s arms, his expression softened. “You did the right thing,” he said quietly. That evening, though Liam opened his physics textbook late, he studied with a peaceful heart, knowing some choices matter more than grades. 词汇激活 行为类 ①检查:examine/check ②解释:explain/account for 情绪类 ①担心的:anxious/worried ②宽慰:relief/consolation 【点睛】【高分句型1】So anxious was Liam that he barely noticed the storm raging outside.(运用了部分倒装句) 【高分句型2】When the vet assured him the kitten would recover with proper rest, Liam finally breathed a sigh of relief, though he realized his physics revision plan lay in ruins.(运用了when引导的时间状语从句,though引导的让步状语从句和省略了that的宾语从句) 【高分句型3】Liam explained how he had found the helpless creature in the park and couldn’t leave it to suffer.(运用了how引导的宾语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 高三英语 范围:高考全部内容。 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 听下面5段对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段对话读两遍。 1. A. Optimistic. B. Worried. C. Cautious. D. Casual. C Start with small things: switching to a reusable water bottle, and then working on weaning yourself off paper towels. D This is how these young engineers imagine Jacksonville, a coastal city in Florida in the next 100 years. D. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
