(Text 3)
W:Look! Our school tennis team is doing much better than usual. They've won three matches in a row,and their
teamwork has improved so much!

(Text 4)
W:Have you read Jake's Journey yet?I enjoyed it.
M:Yes,I have,but I wasn't expecting to.I mean,it's over 600 pages so it isn't the sort of novel I'd normally tackle-I
find it hard to focus for that long.
(Text 5)
W:Hi,Tom,I've been accepted by Yale.I'll be studying psychology.
M:Great. But I've heard that all advanced courses require a certain level of attendance.
W:Yes,so I had to give up the history course to manage the workload.
(Text 6)
W:On today's show,we'll talk about volunteering. To start,we want to say a big thank you to all those volunteers out there!
M:Yeah, like Mr.Smith, who works in a charity shop to raise funds for the local hospital.
W:OK.Now,there's a new initiative called"The Big Clean."They say they need people to help clean our local park this weekend.

M:It's an organic farm.I suppose the farmers are against picking by machine.Anyway,it's Friday tomorrow and there's
a birthday party for one of the pickers tomorrow evening.I'm collecting names of people who can help organize the
food.How about you?
W:Normally I'd be happy to,but I'm going home tomorrow.

M:Mrs.Brown,I've watched a lot of your videos on the Internet. You seem to really like exercising. Why did you begin to

were fit enough to do the dance routines.Through this class,I fell in love with exercising.
M:How do you stay fit now?
W:I usually run from 6 am to 6:30 am in the park before breakfast. After supper,I like to swim from 7 pm to 8 pm.
M:Does your job require you to sit for long hours?
W:Yes.It involves a lot of computing, the job of producing computer programs. But I make a conscious effort to stand up
every one hour.
M:Well, you live a very healthy life.I'll follow your example.
(Text 9)
W:Jacob,I've had a look at the first draft of your assignment. You've included all the important points, but I think one
area you need to work on is organization.

M:Could you give me more details?
W:For example, look at page 2.I can't make out the organization very well because there aren't any paragraphs. So you
need to pay attention to how paragraphs are structured.
M:OK.What about the style of the writing?
W:The register is very good,Jacob,no problem at all. You've used lots of nice set expressions.
M:What about my Spanish?
W:Your grammar is okay. What I would suggest is trying to use more advanced sentence structures.Yours tend to be on
the short side.
M:Any books or websites I could visit?
W:I'll give you one of our worksheets. You can take it away and work on it before you write your second draft.
M:Great!
W:Finally, another thing you could think about is using more advanced vocabulary. As you can see,I've underlined where
I think you could make changes.
M:OK.Thanks.
(Text 10)
M:Hi!I'm Alan and I work as an action scene specialist. Why did I choose a career like this?Well,I've always been keen
on speed.I had a skateboard as a teenager, but soon moved on to a motorbike, and became really interested in racing
it,which made me want to do a job like this.I've been asked to do all sorts of stuff since, but you can't do action
scenes until you've had at least 60 hours of performing in front of the camera. The most common route for us is
appearing as a film extra-that's what I did, although some people work as presenters on survival programs. What's
the most exciting action scene I've done?Well,I once jumped from a plane-quite scary, but that didn't compare with
doing a flight in a high-speed rocket. If you want to see what I've done, why not watch one of my films? There's quite
an old one called Road Run.And there's also Diamond Guy-it'll give you the most accurate idea of what I do.

本文是一篇新闻报道。2025大运河文化阅读之旅从绍兴出发、历经八省市活动后在北京圆满落幕。
56.which考查定语从句。分析句子结构可知,该空引导的是一个非限制性定语从句,先行词是The2025 Grand Canal
Cultural Reading Tour,指物,在从句中作主语,所以用关系代词which引导。
57.a考查冠词。come to an end是固定短语,意为“结束”,这里successful以辅音音素开头,所以用不定冠词a。此处的
come to a successful end表示“圆满结束”。
58.to bring考查非谓语动词。“aim to do sth.”是固定用法,意为“旨在做某事”,所以这里用动词不定式to bring。.
59.mentioned考查非谓语动词。分析句子结构可知,“

饰the famous waterway,又因为the famous waterway和mention之间是被动关系,即“被古代中国文学作品提及”,所
以用过去分词mentioned。

6l.and考查连词。history和cultural importance是并列关系,用连词and连接。

64.Additionally考查词形转换。此处用所给形容词的副词来修饰整个句子。(首字母小写的不得分)
65.Starting考查非谓语动词。分析句子结构,“
_(start)from Shaoxing in June”在句中作状语,the tour和start
之间是主动关系,即“巡回活动从绍兴出发”,所以用现在分词Starting。(首字母小写的不得分)
第一节
One possible version:
Dear Lisa,
I'm more than happy to share my idea about a fun English activity in our class.I'd like to suggest singing English
songs, and I have three main reasons for this suggestion.
First, singing English songs is a relaxing way to learn English, which can make us less nervous about speaking English
in class.Second,we can easily remember more new words and useful sentences while singing, because the beautiful
melodies help us memorize them better. What's more, almost everyone likes singing,so it can get everyone involved in the
activity and make our class more lively.
I hope my suggestion will be helpful for our class activity.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
One possible version:
Dear Lisa,
I'm writing to express my preference for the English Storytelling activity between the two options you provided.
Unlike English singing,English storytelling is a better way for us to practice our spoken English and improve our
ability to express ourselves clearly. What's more, listening to different stories told by our classmates can not only make our
class more lively and interesting but also inspire our imagination and creativity.
I believe this activity will bring us great fun and help us make progress in English.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
第二节
One possible version:
Feeling both neroous and excited, they opened it slowly.Instead of the gold or jewels they had imagined, they found
a collection of old notebooks, some yellowed papers, and a few drawings.Ellie picked up the notebook on top-it was a
diary.Opening it,she found pages of neat handwriting describing daily life in Willow Creek many years ago. There was
even a picture of the big oak tree in the park, which looked much smaller and younger back then.
These were not just old items, but the living memory of their town. The stories within them revealed how people
lived, what they thought, and how the town had changed over time.It was like finding a key to the past. They decided to
take all these things back and show them to their community. This was far better than finding gold, for it helped everyone
understand the true history of their town.Ellie and Mia smiled at each other, knowing they had found something truly
special.

American snowboarder Chloe Kim has added another impressive achievement to her legendary career. At the 2026 Winter Games in Italy, the 25-year-old won a silver medal in the women's halfpipe, marking her third Olympic medal in a row. She is now the first female snowboarder to reach this achievement in the event, having previously won gold in 2018 and 2022.
However, her journey to the medal stand was far from easy. Just weeks before the Games, Kim suffered a serious injury. In late January, she tore the labrum(盂唇)in her left shoulder during training. While she described the injury as "not necessarily painful," it caused her shoulder to repeatedly come out of place. With less than a month until the Olympics, surgery-the only way to fully repair the injury-was not an option. “You just have to keep putting it back in,” she explained.
Determined to compete, Kim chose to push through. She wore a shoulder brace(支具)that greatly restricted her movement. “I wasn't able to raise my arm and I couldn't move my arm much at all,” she shared. The injury forced her to relearn many of her tricks, since most required using her arms. With only eight days before the final, Kim had to adapt quickly. "I kind of had to figure all that out in eight
days,”she said. “The eighth day was the night of the final."
Her hard work paid off. Despite the physical challenges, Kim delivered a performance good enough for silver. Reflecting on her journey, she said, "I'm so proud of the girls. We killed it." She also credited her support system-family, friends, and her boyfriend, Cleveland Browns player Myles Garrett-for keeping her grounded. “They reminded me why I'm here," she added.
Looking ahead, Kim plans to have surgery for her shoulder. As for competing in the 2030 Winter Games in the French Alps, she's taking it one step at a time. “I'm not thinking about anything right now,”she admitted.
24. What do we know about Chloe Kim's injury?
A. It was caused by a car accident. B. It was cured through a simple operation.
C. It made her shoulder dislocate easily. D.It brought her terrible physical pain.
25. What does paragraph 3 mainly talk about?
A. Kim's difficulty in daily life. B. Kim's preparation for the final.
C. Kim's ways to treat the injury. D. Kim's new snowboarding tricks.
26. How does Kim feel about Myles Garrett?
A.Grateful. B.Proud. C.Envious. D.Disappointed.
27.What can we learn from Kim's story?
A.Pride goes before a fall. B. Every cloud has a silver lining.
C. A friend in need is a friend indeed. D. Nothing is impossible for a willing heart.

Does Valentine's Day romance require grand gestures lke expensive dinners and a bunch of roses?Relationship experts say no. In fact, they encourage couples to focus less on big displays and more on small, everyday acts that show love and understanding.
Romance isn't one-size-fits-all. For some, it might mean holding hands or drawing a bath; for others, it could be a funny text or taking care of an annoying task. According to Traci Lee, a marriage and family specialist in Dallas, consistently showing kindness in small ways helps relationships grow stronger over time.
What feels romantic often changes as a relationship progresses. Lee points out that couples with children and busy careers have less time for each other than they did when first dating. Gabrielle Gambrell has been married for seven years with two kids. She follows advice she got before marrying:never stop dating. She and her husband have a regular date night, which always leaves them feeling “energized, happy and grateful."
Valentine's Day itself can carry heavy expectations. Lee warns against the myth that romance must be spontaneous. “Your partner isn't a mind reader,” she says. Gambrell agrees, noting that she starts discussing February 14th plans with her husband days ahead to avoid misunderstandings.
However, small gestures matter throughout the year, not just on holidays. Lee uses a popular example with her clients: apologizing after a fight with a dozen roses is not as meaningful as bringing one rose every day for twelve days, which shows true consistency and care. She encourages couples to ask themselves,"What small things can you do to support your partner in the way they need?”
Both Gambrell and Smith, a teacher in Phoenix, highlight the power of these small acts. Gambrell feels deeply loved when her husband brings her a small gift from the store, like a notebook, simply because it shows he was thinking of her. Smith believes in traditional gestures like walking on the street side to protect his girlfriend. While some see this as old-fashioned, he insists, “To me,this is basic.”
Ultimately, experts encourage people not to fear expressing love in their own way. "It's always worth it. You always win in the end,”Smith says.
28.How does Gambrell keep romance alive in her seven-year marriage?
A. By having regular date nights. B. By sending surprise gifts daily.
C. By celebrating all festivals grandly. D. By traveling with her husband often.
29. What does the underlined word "spontaneous" in paragraph 4 probably mean?

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, with high cholesterol(胆固醇)being a major contributor. For decades, patients have relied on daily pills like statins to manage their condition. However, scientists are now exploring a revolutionary approach: using gene editing to provide a one-time,permanent solution.
This experimental treatment uses a Nobel Prize-winning tool called CRISPR. It works by targeting and “switching off" specific genes in the liver that control cholesterol production. Two genes are the main focus: ANGPTL3 and PCSK9. Studies have shown that some people naturally have mutations(突变)that turn off these genes, giving them very low cholesterol levels for life and protecting them from heart disease. Researchers are now trying to copy this effect.
Two companies have reported early results from small studies. In one trial, a single infusion(静脉输液)of the CRISPR treatment lowered patients' "bad” LDL cholesterol and another harmful fat called triglycerides by about half. Another company's study, targeting the PCSK9 gene, showed similar success.
While these findings are promising, experts urge caution. The research is still in its earliest stages, tested in only a few dozen people. Major safety questions remain. Since gene editing is permanent, scientists must ensure it only affects the intended target and doesn't cause harmful side effects. The particles used to deliver the tool into the liver can also cause damage. Long-term safety is still unknown, which is why current studies are limited to patients at very high risk.
For now, traditional medicine remains the safest and most effective way to control cholesterol.Doctors emphasize that people should not wait for gene treatment but instead manage their health today. A heart-healthy lifestyle is crucial: eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains;exercising regularly; maintaining a healthy weight; and getting enough sleep.
In conclusion, gene editing shows us an exciting future where high cholesterol could be cured with a single treatment. However, it is still a developing science. For the time being, taking prescribed medication and following a healthy lifestyle are the proven steps to protect your heart.
32. What do natural mutations that turn off ANGPTL3 and PCSK9 genes bring?
A.Lifelong low cholesterol levels. B. Liver gene damage.
C.Mild physical discomfort. D.Permanent heart disease.
33. What can be concluded about the two CRISPR studies?
A. They target the same gene. B. They show positive early outcomes.
C. They are open to all heart patients. D. They solve all heart disease problems.
34. Which statement would the author probably agree with?
A. Gene editing has no potential side effects. B. A healthy lifestyle matters for heart health.
C. Gene editing is a mature medical technology. D. Pills should be abandoned by patients now.
35. What can we infer from the text about gene editing?
A. It will replace medicine in a short time. B.It works better than healthy lifestyles.
C. It is the safest way to control cholesterol. D. It needs more research for widespread use.

In the small town of Willow Creek, two friends, Ellie and Mia, were known for their boundless curiosity and great energy. One sunny afternoon, as they searched through the attic(阁楼)of Mia's grandmother's house, they came across an old, dusty map rolled up.
“Look at this, Ellie!" Mia shouted, her eyes wide with excitement.
Ellie leaned over, brushing off the dust gently. "Is this a treasure map? Or a secret path in the town?"
They unrolled the map carefully, revealing faded ink and strange symbols. They glanced at each other, the same passion for adventure shining in both of their eyes. Without hesitation, they decided to find out where it led.
The map seemed to point to the town park, a place they both knew very well. Yet, with the map in their hands, the familiar surroundings felt new and mysterious. "The big oak tree," Ellie said, moving her finger along the line on the map. "That's where we start.”
The girls ran to the tree, its branches stretching wide like welcoming arms. They walked around it,searching carefully until Mia let out a shout, pointing to a small carving on the bark-a symbol that matched one on the map. This discovery filled them with even more eagerness to go on. Following the map's directions, they went deeper into the park, passing the pond and the playground. Finally, they arrived at an old, unused small house at the edge of the park. The map indicated that something was hidden inside.
Pushing open the door, the girls stepped into the dusty house. They looked around the room carefully until Mia spotted a loose floorboard. Working together, they lifted it up. Before them lay an old wooden box, simple and worn with time.注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;
