Passage 1
(2026·重庆市渝中区巴蜀中学校·二模)
Walk through Futian District in Shenzhen, and you might notice some special fridges on the street. They are “food banks” that share free, fresh food with people in need. The project started in May 2022. Now there are 22 smart boxes across 10 streets in Futian. They work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
I am a cleaner who lives in Shenzhen. I want to share my experience about the Futian Food Bank. I often get breakfast from the food bank. The food is fresh and free, which saves some money for my family. More importantly, the food bank helps cut down food waste in our community. My work gets easier and the city is becoming cleaner and greener.
Mr. Zhang
I am an 80-year-old grandma living alone in Futian. I’d like to talk about how the Futian Food Bank has changed my life. My legs hurt a lot, so it’s hard for me to go to the supermarket alone. Volunteers from the food bank bring me fresh fruit and cooked meals every week. They also chat with me for a while when they come. So I don’t feel lonely and I don’t worry about cooking or buying food anymore. This small help means a lot to me.
Mrs. Chen
A reporter is interviewing a volunteer. (R= Reporter V= Volunteer)
R: Hello! I’m a news reporter. May I ask you some questions about our community food bank?
V: Sure! It’s my pleasure.
R: First, could you tell me what your main job is in this project?
V: Of course. I collect food donations from supermarkets and local shops, sort them out carefully and give the food to people in need.
R: What do you think of your job?
V: It’s tiring but meaningful. I feel happy when I see the smiles on people’s faces as they receive the food. Thanks to the project, our community becomes warmer and warmer.

Passage 2
(2026·重庆市大渡口区·二模)
阅读下文并回答问题。
Recently, the topic “Never send chat screenshots (聊天截图) to your friends” has led to heated discussions online. What’s your idea on this?
I think we need to be careful when sharing chat screenshots. If they are about something private (私密的), we’d better not share them freely. It’s important to respect others’ privacy (隐私). If they are about casual (随意的) chats, it may be fine to share them.
However, even sharing casual chats can sometimes bring trouble. During the Spring Festival, I was chatting with a classmate about some funny things. I wanted to share a screenshot of our chat with another classmate, but I sent it to the wrong person. It was really embarrassing. So, we should pay special attention when sharing screenshots.
This is all about trust and boundaries (边界). We should think carefully before sharing chat screenshots, because some people feel it’s a betrayal (背叛) of trust to do that. A private chat is like a secret between friends. Sharing it without asking feels like breaking a promise. However, sometimes people share funny moments to bring friends closer.
The key, I think, is the purpose. Before you hit “send”, ask yourself: Would I be fine if someone shared my words like this? If there’s any doubt, it’s better to ask for permission first.
I once saw a friend share someone else’s private message. It made me wonder: Would she do the same to me? That uneasy feeling changed how much I trusted her. I think everyone’s personal information should be respected.
1.Did Jason send a chat screenshot to the wrong person during the Spring Festival?
2.What is a private chat like according to Helen?
3.What do Jason’s and Helen’s opinions have in common?
4.Will you send chat screenshots to your friends? Why or why not?
【答案】1.Yes, he did. 2.It is like a secret between friends. 3.They both think people should be careful when sharing chat screenshots and respect others’ privacy. 4.I will not send chat screenshots to my friends easily, because it may hurt others’ privacy and break the trust between friends, just as Jason and Helen mentioned.
【导语】本文围绕“不要给朋友发聊天截图”的话题,呈现Jason和Helen的观点与经历,探讨分享聊天记录的隐私与信任问题。
1.Jason部分讲述经历:“During the Spring Festival, I was chatting with a classmate about some funny things. I wanted to share a screenshot of our chat with another classmate, but I sent it to the wrong person.”,说明他在春节期间把聊天截图发错了人,所以是肯定回答。
2.Helen部分给出定义:“A private chat is like a secret between friends.”,直接提取信息。

Passage 1
(2026·重庆育才中学教共体·二模)
阅读下面短文,根据短文内容,完成下列各题。
Hi everyone! Last weekend, I visited Shaolin Temple, one of the oldest places in the world for martial arts. The monks there have practiced kung fu for centuries, and their skills are amazing. Seeing them move with strength and speed made me very interested in martial arts. I want to learn more and watch Biao Ren, a movie about martial arts. I’m curious if the fight scenes show real kung fu skills. Has anyone seen it and can share their thoughts?
10:36 Amy
Hi! I’m from Germany. My first martial arts teacher was my father, who is a big fan of Bruce Lee. He taught me basic moves at home, and I quickly became very interested. At first, it was difficult, but I practiced every day and never gave up. Visiting Shaolin Temple recently gave me even more motivation to improve. I also help my younger friends with their moves and encourage them to practice every day. Watching them progress reminds me of my first days learning kung fu. It’s great to share this passion and see others enjoy martial arts as much as I do.
13:18 Linda
Hey! I’m just a small role in Biao Ren—a silent soldier—but my journey in martial arts is serious. My interest started when I saw old kung fu movies, and I knew I had to try it. Training was tough, I sweat a lot, and sometimes I even kicked my own foot by mistake—but I never gave up. Now I enjoy helping beginners, showing them simple moves and laughing together when we mess up. Martial arts is all about interest, effort, and sharing what you learn. If you want fun and excitement, watch Biao Ren — I promise the fight scenes are worth it!
20:43 John
1.Did Amy visit Shaolin Temple last weekend?
2.Who was Linda’s first martial arts teacher?
3.What do Linda and John have in common in their martial arts experiences?
4.Martial arts is challenging. Share another challenge you faced in your life and how you got over it. (about 30 words)

Also, they enjoy helping beginners learn martial arts. 4.I once failed a math exam and felt very sad. Instead of giving up, I asked my teacher for help and practiced every day. In the end, I made great progress.
【导语】本文是一篇应用文,主要展示了三位网友在网络论坛上关于武术和电影《镖人》的留言交流,分享了他们对武术的兴趣、经历和感悟。

2.Linda的发言中明确说“My first martial arts teacher was my father...”,这是原文中的直接信息,直接提取。
3.分别分析两人的发言:Linda提到“practiced every day and never gave up”“help my younger friends...encourage them to practice”;John提到“Training was tough...but I never gave up”“enjoy helping beginners, showing them simple moves”,并且在每段开头都说明他们都对习武有很大兴趣。
Passage 2
(2025·重庆市石柱县第一初级中学·二模)
Unlike other girls who like spring best, my favorite time of the year is autumn. In autumn, I am more likely to calm down and focus on (关注) myself and life.
The other day, when I was caught in the heavy traffic on my way to work, worried and upset, a side road covered with fallen leaves caught my eyes. I wondered whether the road could lead me out of the traffic jam. Soon I decided to get off the bus and began my “adventure (冒险)”alone.Different from the noisy street, there were no cars or people, only a light smell of flowers and several leaves dancing like butterflies in the autumn breeze. They were like a gentle hand touching my heart and made me calm.I kept walking forward at a brisk pace (轻快的步伐) for about 10 minutes until I arrived at the end of the road. What a lovely flower store! I was so surprised that I bought some as the reward of the successful“adventure”.
Looking at the flowers in the vase, I was deep in thought in my office. Roads are like life in many ways.We may meet bumps, obstacles (障碍) and blind curves in life. But adventures on a side road can lead us to somewhere unexpected but wonderful.

Re: Need Money Advice
Hello Molly,
I understand how bad you feel after arguing with your mom. Your situation is very common. Many teens want things that cost more than their allowance. I’ll share a few smart money habits from some of them.
One of my students Mary keeps a notebook that records how much money she has in a month. Her daily needs like lunches or school things are listed on it. Fun things, like toys, are placed after the basics. This way, she never faces an empty wallet and she always has enough for what really matters.
Jack is another good example. Every day, he brings homemade lunches and carries a reusable bottle rather than buys expensive snacks or drinks at school. He also carefully compares prices and patiently waits for sales. These not only help him avoid spending too much but also allow him to keep and grow his money over time.
And my 15-year-old daughter, Ivy, goes a step further. Last summer vacation, she sold her paintings online, which brought her 2000 yuan. Instead of spending it all, she kept most of it in a bank account that pays her interest (利息). One day, after finishing painting, she said to me, “Mom, I finally understand money doesn’t grow on trees. It takes time and effort. Thank you and Dad for everything.”
Molly, I know you’re trying to make a smart choice. What matters most isn’t how much money you have, but how you deal with it. I’m sure you’ll find a way that works for you.
Yours truly,
Chloe

“I feel much more stressed during the summer holiday than on normal school days since I need to plan different activities for my children. A study tour costs 35,000 yuan for a kid and there are also classes which are necessary for kids,” said Chan Lee, a mother of two primary school children.

Passage 1
(2026·重庆一中·二模)
阅读下文并回答问题。
When AI brings unprecedented (前所未有的) convenience, what makes humanity valuable? A Chinese teacher collected 54 answers from her students, posing a single question in class: “Prove (证明) you’re not an AI with one word. What would you choose?” .The following are three of their responses.
Lacey: My dad had been ill for weeks. Some of those days I was overcome with fear, and some with worrying thoughts. Yet I still held his hand and kept believing that tomorrow might be better because the love of family never gives up easily. Experiences like this make me understand: AI can offer answers to almost everything, but everything I felt in my hope stays only in humans like me.
Winslet: Since primary school, I always considered my classmates smarter than me. I remember the slow and painful progress. But those experiences taught me to accept my “stupidity” and turn it into a push to try harder. AI can work quickly, but it will never understand the struggle (挣扎), the joy, the upset and the quiet pride of growing from my own “stupidity”.
Chris: On my walk home, I always slow down for sunsets, flowers, and stray (流浪) cats. I still remember the nervousness while waiting for the exam result, and the feeling of being excited and worried when waiting for the girl I care about. AI can have all the data (数据) on earth but not those real moments of life. And all the ups and downs I had in my heart always remind me of the beauty of being a human.
Soon, this class went popular online and received many different answers, each of which was surprising and heartfelt. And those answers together show us the differences between humans and AI.
1.Did Lacey’s family members give up on her dad easily?
2.How does Chris feel about waiting for the girl he cares about?
3.According to the answers, what are the differences between humans and AI?
4.Which word would you choose to prove you are not AI? Share your answer like the three above.(about 30 words)
【答案】1.No, they didn’t. 2.He feels excited and worried. 3.AI can offer answers, work quickly and have all the data, but humans have real feelings and real moments of life. 4.I would choose “Mistake”. AI is programmed to be perfect and accurate. However, as a human, I make mistakes, learn from them, and grow better. Mistakes make my life real.
【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了一位老师在课堂上让学生用一个词证明自己不是AI,并分享了三位学生各自选择的词语及背后蕴含的人类独有情感和真实体验的故事。
【详解】1.根据表格第一行Lacey的回答“...because the love of family never gives up easily.”可推知,Lacey的家人没有轻易放弃她的父亲。
2.根据表格第三行Chris的回答“...and the feeling of being excited and worried when waiting for the girl I care about.”可推知,Chris在等待他在乎的女孩时感到激动和担忧。
3.根据表格中Lacey的回答“AI can offer answers to almost everything, but everything I felt in my hope stays only in humans like me.”、Winslet的回答“AI can work quickly, but it will never understand the struggle, the joy, the upset and the quiet pride...”以及Chris的回答“AI can have all the data on earth but not those real moments of life.”
Passage 2
(2025·重庆市渝中区巴蜀中学校·二模)
阅读下列材料,根据文章内容回答问题。
Nowadays, many young people like to “enjoy life” even if they can’t truly afford it, like having a very expensive dinner to make themselves feel good. Here are some students’ opinions about this kind of lifestyle.
Some people think this lifestyle is bad because it doesn’t consider the future. But I think it shows that people choose to enjoy life and stay happy, even when things aren’t going very well. Doing small things like drinking milk tea after a test can help them feel better. These moments of joy help them face new challenges. After all, isn’t finding light in the darkness a form of wisdom?
Shen Juan, a 16-year-old girl
I think short-lived happiness may stop us from working hard. If we only do what makes us happy, it may be hard to achieve anything meaningful. Instead of chasing short-lived happiness, we should learn from older people: to work hard, set long-term goals and make plans for the future. We need to face difficulties with courage and take on the responsibilities that come with being a young person today.
Wang Jun, a 15-year-old boy
Because of social media (社交媒体) and some other pressure, people often feel they need to buy expensive things, which can cause money problems. I believe that real happiness lies not in the richness of belongings, but in the simple life. Instead of spending money on things that don’t last, young people should focus on learning new skills and building strong relationships. This way, they can have a happy life that lasts a long time.
Peng Sitong, a 16-year-old girl
Young people today are under a lot of pressure. It’s important for them to find ways to relax and protect their mental (心理) health. Even if they don’t have much money, they can still manage to meet their needs to feel happier. Every generation faces different challenges. For older people, their problem used to be not having enough food or clothing. But for young people today, most of them don’t have such a problem.
Li Siyi, a 15-year-old boy
1.Does Shen Juan agree with this kind of lifestyle?
2.What does Li Siyi think it’s important for young people today?
3.What are the similarities between Wang Jun’s and Peng Sitong’s opinions?
4.Do you think young people should enjoy life now even if they don’t have enough money? Explain at least two reasons. (about 30 words)
【答案】1.Yes, she does./Yes. 2.He thinks it’s important for them to find ways to relax and protect their mental health. 3.They don’t support enjoying short-lived happiness and they think young people should work hard, set long-term goals and focus on their personal development, like learning new skills building strong relationships or taking on responsibilities bravely. (需概括到①贪图短期 (或无法长久维持的) 享乐不是真正的快乐;②要有长远目标并为之努力奋斗 (或提升)) 4.(言之成理即可) Yes, because it can help young people reduce stress and it’s necessary for them to relax sometimes. Setting a fun budget like spending 10% of pocket money can let young people enjoy life without harming their future plans.
/ No, because overspending might lead to debt or stop young people from achieving long-term goals. It’s important for them to know how to save money, learn skills, and plan for their future.
【导语】本文主要讲述了年轻人“享受生活”的生活方式,以及不同学生对这种生活方式的看法。

I believe that real happiness lies not in the richness of belongings, but in the simple life. Instead of spending money on things that don’t last, young people should focus on learning new skills and building strong relationships.”可知,王军和彭思彤都不支持贪图短暂的快乐,他们都认为年轻人应该努力工作,设定长期目标,并且关注个人发展,比如学习新技能、建立良好的人际关系或者勇敢地承担责任。故填They don’t support enjoying short-lived happiness and they think young people should work hard, set long-term goals and focus on their personal development, like learning new skills building strong relationships or taking on responsibilities bravely.
4.开放性问题,言之有理即可。参考答案为:Yes, because it can help young people reduce stress and it’s necessary for them to relax sometimes. Passage 1
(2026·重庆市西南大学附属中学·二模)
If you ever find yourself at a birthday celebration for an elderly person in China, don’t be surprised when someone passes you a warm, fluffy bun (包子) that looks exactly like a rosy pink peach. That’s shòutáo bāo, or the longevity peach bun. It is made from wheat flour and filled with smooth red bean paste (红豆沙) or lotus paste (莲蓉). In China, shòutáo bāo is far more than just dessert — it’s a delicious piece of cultural heritage.
The story behind the peach buns begins with ancient mythology. Longevity peach buns stand for the Peaches of Immortality (蟠桃) in ancient Chinese legend. They are grown in the garden of the Queen Mother of the West. They ripen only once every three thousand years. It’s said that people can live forever after eating them. In another story, the peach symbolizes long life because of the folk story of Shou Xing Gong. This Chinese God of Longevity is said to have lived a very long life. The peach he carried has also become a symbol of longevity.
Over the centuries, the peach developed gradually from a mythical fruit into the symbol of a long, healthy life. While fresh peaches aren’t always in season for winter birthdays, clever bakers long ago in Guangdong province solved this problem by making buns that are in the shape of peaches. Today, people across the country often order them for their parents or grandparents as a wish for a long life.
A longevity peach bun carries a heavy, wonderful weight of blessing. Offering a longevity peach bun to an elder isn’t just saying “Happy Birthday”. It’s a silent, heartfelt wish that says: May you live as long as the Southern Mountain, and may your years be as eternal (永恒不朽的) as the flowing river! The act of sharing the bun also ties the family together in a shared hope for the health of their elder family members.
Apart from peach buns, Chinese people also eat longevity noodles to celebrate their birthdays. And it is commonly believed that people should eat the noodles without breaking them into pieces. This is because ________.

4.根据文章第5段“people should eat the noodles without breaking them into pieces(人们应该吃面条而不把它们弄断)”及常识可推知结论长寿面象征长寿,弄断寓意不佳,吃整根面条寓意健康长寿。
Passage 2
(2025·重庆市字水中学·二模)
In many films, characters wish upon a star. Disney’s new film Wish came out in 2023. In the film, 17-year-old Asha makes a wish to the sky. Star answers her and they go on a great adventure (冒险).
Do you like to make wishes? In Australia, people like to make wishes in different ways. Playing outside, you could blow dandelions seeds (蒲公英种子) away. Then make a wish! Or you could throw a coin into a wishing well or fountain (喷泉) to make a wish.
In the West, an old tradition is to make wishes with water. Water is so important to life. People thought it was a gift. As a result, they started throwing coins into wishing wells or fountains. They must say their wish out loud. This way, they believe their wish will be heard and come true.
And of course, no one misses making a wish on their birthday. People wish upon a star or some candles. In fact, the star or candles can’t make your wish come true. You have to do it yourself. However, wishing upon them can keep you hopeful and encourage you to go forward.
Mike’s experience:
I would sometimes make wishes on my birthday.
One year, I put some candies and a note in a box and left it in the living room. The note said “Dear Mr. Future, please tell my dad to stop smoking. It is bad for his health.” The next day I saw the reply from “Mr. Future”. He wrote: “Dear Mike, that is something he has to do for himself.” Can you guess who wrote it? Passage 2
(2025·庆市渝中区·二模)
How can you get the most information from a book? Here are some suggestions that can help you read effectively(有效地).
Read the whole thing.
When you're learning something by reading, it's more important to have a general idea than to understand every detail(细节). In fact, no matter how carefully you read, you won't remember or understand all of the details. So remembering the main points will be OK.
Decide how much time you will spend.
If you know that you have only six hours for a book, it'll be wise of you to adjust(调整) yourself. The more clearly you know your limits(时限), the more effective your reading will be. So never start to read without planning when to stop.
Have a purpose.

R: That’s really great. Your work makes a big difference. What else do you think we can do in our daily lives to help people in need?
V: ▲
1.Do the food banks work 24 hours a day?
2.How many steps are necessary for the food bank to work well?
3.What benefits does this project bring according to this passage?
4.Please give your proper reply to fill in the ▲ . (about 30 words)

The roads tell the story of people and history. The roads of your life are no different. Although sometimes your life may be uncertain and winding, trust in yourself and you’ll arrive at your destination (目的地).Whatever your destination is,remember this:__________________

Yours truly,
Chloe

Passage 2
(2025·重庆市江津中学校·二模)
“No freedom summer holiday” has become a popular topic online, as parents begin spending much time and money planning their children’s holiday. According to a survey, parents in big cities are ready to spend money on their children’s education during the break.
“I feel much more stressed during the summer holiday than on normal school days since I need to plan different activities for my children. A study tour costs 35,000 yuan for a kid and there are also classes which are necessary for kids,” said Chan Lee, a mother of two primary school children.
Sending children on overseas (海外的) tours has also become an important part of the break. Almost everyone in Chan’s children’s classes has joined a summer study tour. They wanted to experience an overseas educational environment, culture, and language through meeting people, visiting famous universities and sightseeing.
Cheng Guowei, a manager of a study tour centre, said parents care about their children’s education. “Nearly 95% of our participants (参与者) are students, and most of them are primary and middle school kids,” he said.
Yin Jianli is a researcher on family and education topics. She said it was unnecessary to plan too many activities for children during holidays. “Parents are just doing it to cut down their own worry,” she said. Many parents thought they could buy their children a better education. “But actually a summer holiday should be a time for rest, not study,” she said.
1.Does Chan Lee feel much more stressed during the summer holiday?
2.How do parents cut down their own worry according to Yin Jianli?
3.What activities may students have during an overseas tour?
4.Do you think students should study or rest during holidays? Why?

1.Is the longevity peach bun always filled with bean paste?
2.Why did bakers in Guangdong start making peach-shaped buns long ago?
3.According to paragraph 4, what kinds of blessing does a longevity peach bun carry?
4.Please finish the missing part in the last paragraph. (about 30 words)
I felt a bit sad that Mr. Future couldn’t help my dad. But it taught me something important: Only the person himself or herself can really make something come true.

A group of middle school students in yellow vests gathered excitedly outside the Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center. They were chosen by the Guanshanhu District Media Center and would work as bilingual (双语) reporters at the 2025 China International Big Data (大数据) Industry Expo for the first time. Li Yihan and Wang Zini were among them and their English abilities were quite different. Li was good at reading and writing, but she was too shy to speak in public. Wang, however, was active and enjoyed talking with others, but she had a very small vocabulary.
To get fully ready for the big event, they took professional pre-job training and tried their best to improve their English. Li practiced speaking English every day. She read interview scripts (稿子) loudly in front of the mirror, recorded her voice and compared it with native speakers’. She also remembered some useful big data words. Wang took an active part in role-play activities and wrote down new words in a notebook to review them very often.
During the expo, they talked with international exhibitors (参展商) and reported on amazing new technologies like drone (无人机) soccer. Speaking English was not easy for the two 14-year-old students, especially when facing difficult technical terms (专业术语). But they quickly found a good way out. They changed the topic to daily life and cultural communication, such as introducing Guiyang’s local food. They were nervous at first, but the exhibitors’ warmth helped them relax soon.

As part of The 3rd Luneng Bashu Reading Festival Series — “Three Foundations Reading” Curriculum Development, students are encouraged to explore Chinese classics.
During the May Day holiday, I finished reading Journey to the West. I used to prefer modern books, but this classic surprised me with its rich culture. The old stories, traditional life and ideas are so interesting!
Although it was written a long time ago, I found the story powerful and meaningful, as it taught me courage and teamwork.
The book opened a window for me to see the past and its influence on today. I began to understand why classics are so important. — Zhang Wei, 15, a student

R: Do you remember the first poem you learned?
Ms. Lin: Yes. It was “The Thatched Cottage Is Broken by the Autumn Wind” by Du Fu. The words are very beautiful and meaningful. Du Fu’s life was full of difficulties, but he still cared deeply about others. His kindness and responsibility really touched and influenced me.

Have you ever paid close attention to a cloud and noticed its ever-changing forms? If not, you could be missing out on something quite wonderful.

Before you begin, find out why you want to read this book. If you don't have reasons of your own, you can't learn much. After you start to read, try to think of four questions: Who is the writer? What are the book's opinions? What are the reasons? What are the conclusions(结论)?
Read it three times.
You'll get the most out of the book if you read it three times-fast-reading for general ideas, reading for understanding, and then reading for note-taking and remembering.
