Dolphins are smart animals. They make different sounds to talk to each other. This makes some scientists very interested. They want to use computers to understand dolphin sounds better. These computers use artificial intelligence (AI). The scientists now hope to “talk” with dolphins in the sea.
One group called the Wild Dolphin Project has studied dolphins for many years. They have watched dolphins and listened to their sounds under the water. They learned that some sounds happen during certain actions. For example, dolphins may make a loud “squawk” when they are fighting. They may make a fast “buzz” when they like another dolphin.
