1. —Wu Yu, do Chinese people celebrate ________ Easter Day?
—No. This is my first time to celebrate ________ festival.
A. the; a B. /; the C. the; the
2. We are so tired that we’re all ________ the idea of taking a half day off today.
A. against B. with C. for
against反对;with和…… 根据“We are so tired”可知,因为太累,所以应该是支持休息的想法,be for the idea表示“赞成这个想法”。故填for。
3. —The clay pig looks cute. Where did you get it?
—I made it ________.
A. itself B. myself C. himself
4. ________ creative children the winners are at the science fair!
A. How B. What C. What a

5. After she stepped out of the school and started to work three years ago, she ________ a busy life very soon.
A. was used to living B. was used to live C. used to live
【答案】A
used to do sth.表示过去常常做某事;be used to doing sth.表示习惯于做某事;be used to do sth. 根据“After she stepped out of the school and started to work”及“very soon”可知,此处指工作后很快适应了忙碌的生活,应用be used to doing结构,且时态为一般过去时。应填was used to living。
6. The poem Ode to the Plum Blossom (卜算子·咏梅) ________ into English by Xu Yuanchong in 1986.
A. translated B. is translated C. was translated
应填was translated。
7. —The speakers at the speech spoke so excitedly, didn’t they?

根据“didn’t they?”可知,回复时也应借助助动词did,排除选项C;由于句子为反意疑问句,其回答要根据事实来回答,根据“They made me feel I can achieve any goal I’ve made!” 故选A。
8. It is believed that the antiques (文物) in the British Museum will surely ________ to China one day.
A. have been given back B. give back C. be given back

A选项when the ice-cream shop will open意为“冰淇淋店什么时候开门”;B选项which ice-cream shop has a better taste意为“哪家冰淇淋店味道更好”;C选项where I can use fast free Wi - Fi意为“我可以在哪里使用快速免费的Wi - Fi”。根据答句中“Sometimes it’s hard to open a website in this supermarket.”

A. when B. how C. what
when什么时候;how怎样/如何;what什么。根据原文中的句子“We haven’t seen each other since we went to high school.”

C项“What do you think is the most useful invention?”
P回答“It was invented in the 18th century...”,这是一个关于时间的回答。 E项“When was it invented?”
B项“I once finished the whole Tianfu Greenway and rode around Chengdu alone.”
D项“Would you like to ride with me?”
C询问“When and where shall we meet?”,P需要给出具体的时间和地点。A项“What about at the school gate at 5:30 p.m.?”

Summer clothes for the royals were mainly made of fabrics like yarn (纱) and silk. The materials are permeable (透风的) which keep the wearer cool. It can weigh only 50g or below.

Many people may wonder what the three Chinese astronauts’ life was like when working in space. ___71___
Astronauts eat three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. But how much they eat depends on the astronauts. A small woman astronaut often needs only about 1,900 calories (卡路里) a day, while a large man requires about 3,200 calories. ____72____
____73____ They look out of the window, enjoying the wonderful sunsets and sunrises which happen every 45 minutes. Very often, they play with their food or even play jokes on their workmates. Believe it or not, astronauts can even spend weekends, when they can watch movies, play music, read books and talk to their families.
After a long day at work, nothing is better than a good night’s sleep. Just like on Earth, an astronaut goes to bed at a certain time. Then he wakes up and prepares for work again. ___74___ Generally, astronauts are planned to have eight hours of sleep.
Wilderness survival (野外生存) skills were commonly used in the past, but in modern society, they are uncommon. In modern times, we’re doing more brain work and less physical labor (劳动). This change in lifestyle is clear in our bodies. According to a recent research by Cambridge University, men farmers 7,300 years ago had legs as strong as the best Olympic players. But 3,000 years later, their legs were never that strong. People living in ancient times were also very tall. However, people living today can never compare with them in this.
Teachers at a school in New Zealand think this might be a problem. What if climate change or natural disasters (灾难) cause us to live like ancient people? Students in the Deep Green Bush School go outdoors and learn how to fish, hunt, cook over an open fire and learn about plants and animals.
Teachers and students at the school believe that if you can survive in the wilderness, you can survive anywhere. But are these wilderness survival skills really needed? After all, most of us live in a modern world.
The reason why most of us don’t learn ancient survival skills is that we don’t need them anymore. “In a modern society, there are a lot of skills to be developed to succeed, and perhaps only some of those can be developed outside,” said David Berg at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Modern life requires us to learn other things, such as how to find a job, drive a car or speak a foreign language.
Time and the development of society decide what survival skills people need to learn. However, one can never have too many skills So why not learn some wilderness survival skills? At the very least, you will learn more about nature and yourself.
Learn Survival Skills Both Old and New
A case at the Deep Green Bush School
The students take ___76___ and learn how to survive in the wild.
The school classes can ___77___ for climate change or other disasters.
To question the idea of learning old skills
Our body conditions
We are ___78___ and 3 than our ancestors.
We can never compare with our ancestors in terms of physical power.
Today’s social requirement
Our survival skills have more to do with our ___79___.
The modern world asks us to learn other things.
The ___80___
Wilderness survival skills are seldom used in modern times but it’s helpful to learn some.
76. outdoor classes
77. prepare students
78. shorter; weaker
79. brains 80. writer’s opinion
文章第二段明确指出“Students in the Deep Green Bush School go outdoors and learn how to fish, hunt, cook over an open fire and learn about plants and animals.”,题干将“go outdoors”同义转换为“take outdoor classes”,且与“learn how to survive in the wild”并列,因此第一空应填“outdoor classes”。
文章第二段中教师们思考“What if climate change or natural disasters cause us to live like ancient people?”,随后学生们通过户外课程学习生存技能。
文章第一段末尾指出“People living in ancient times were also very tall. However, people living today can never compare with them in this.”,说明现代人比祖先矮;同时第一段中“men farmers 7,300 years ago had legs as strong as the best Olympic players. But 3,000 years later, their legs were never that strong.”
文章第一段明确指出“In modern times, we‘re doing more brain work and less physical labor”,第四段也提到现代生活要求我们学习“how to find a job, drive a car or speak a foreign language”等技能,可知现代生存技能更多与大脑(脑力)相关,因此第四空应填“brains”。
文章最后一段“However, one can never have too many skills. So why not learn some wilderness survival skills? At the very least, you will learn more about nature and yourself.”
