I can’t find you!” When it makes a noise like “grr”, it wants to tell others, “Back off. It’s my turn to eat.” If it barks “woof, woof”, it wants to say, “It’s getting dark. ____19____”
Experts say such communication not only helps dholes make closer connections with each other but also allows each one in the group to understand its role. ____20____ Each pack usually has 5 to 12 dholes, with a lead couple in charge. Hunting has been a part of human life for a long time. Some believe it is OK while others think it is wrong. But is it right for humans to hunt animals at all?
Yes—Hunting is acceptable (可接受的).
Hunting is a way of life for some people. In places like Alaska, hunting is often necessary for food. People hunt birds and animals to feed their families. It means they can put food on the table without running around in circles to find stores.
More importantly, hunting can help keep animal populations healthy. For example, if too many deer are in one area, they can eat up the plants and hurt the environment. By hunting some deer, we can help nature stay in balance.
Lily
No—Hunting is unacceptable.
Hunting is wrong. Many people argue (争辩) that we can get meat from farms, so there is no need to hunt. Many hunters do it for fun, not for food. It can cause unnecessary pain for animals. For example, some hunters pay a lot of money to hunt big animals like elephants, which many see as wrong.
Also, hunting can hurt the environment. Sometimes, hunters go after certain animals and may kill others by mistake. It can lead to a drop in other wildlife populations. Many believe that instead of hunting animals, we should treat them with kindness.

The China International Search and Rescue Team (CISAR) was set up in 2001. It brings help and hope to those whose lives are changed by a storm, an earthquake, or other natural disasters (灾难).
After long and careful training, the Chinese team went on its first international rescue tasks in 2003. That year, the team helped save lives after earthquakes in Algeria and Iran. It was the first time that the CISAR had worked outside China, and the team won high praise for their bravery (勇敢) and skill. Since then, the CISAR has completed lots of rescue tasks. Rescue workers are trained to find people, treat injuries, and hand out food, water, and other things. They have to be able to do difficult work when it is very dangerous. That means they have to be strong in both body and mind. Rescue workers must have big hearts, too. It takes lots of love and courage to risk (冒险) their own lives to save someone else’s. The members of the CISAR are always ready to go wherever help is needed.

Have you ever sent a postcard? It’s always exciting to get mail from far away. But here’s something special: Vanuatu is home to an underwater post office! You need to swim or dive to reach this interesting post office to send a postcard. How cool is that!
Whether you want to see volcanoes, relax on sunny beaches, or visit the underwater post office, Vanuatu is a magical place where every corner has something to offer. So, pack your bags and get ready for the trip of a lifetime! Vanuatu is waiting for you!

Art has been a part of human life for a very long time. When you visit an art museum, you will see paintings from hundreds of years ago. But guess what? The oldest paintings in the world are not in any museum. They are hiding in ancient caves (洞穴)! Yes, you heard that right! Long ago, Neanderthals (尼安德特人) were the first great artists, good at making pictures, and they did it on cave walls.
For many years, experts thought the first art appeared in Western Europe. They believed this because of famous cave paintings found in places like the Chauvet Cave in France and the El Castillo Cave in Spain. Researchers found paintings of animals in these dark caves, like lions and horses, along with hand signs. Some of these paintings are around 40,000 years old! One painting, a round red plate in the El Castillo Cave, is believed to be the oldest, at 40,800 years old.
Recently, new discoveries have changed everything! Scientists found old cave paintings, too, on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. These paintings have hand-painted pictures and animals like pigs, and they are just as old as those in Europe. Scientists are surprised these artworks are about 40,000 years old, too!
These new findings show us that early humans were making art in different parts of the world at the same time. It shakes up the idea that Europe was the birthplace of art. Some experts even believe art might have started in Africa over 100,000 years ago!
51. Where are the oldest paintings in the world?
They are just ____________.

Long ago, the first people on these islands were the Melanesian people. Later, in 1774, a British man named James Cook came along. He mapped the islands and called them the New Hebrides.
