On September 3, 2025, a very big military parade took place in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. This parade was to celebrate the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. On September 3, 2025, a very big military parade took place in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. This parade was to celebrate the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Many interesting things happened in the parade, but the aerial echelons (空中梯队) were the most eye-catching. They showed how strong China’s air force is now.
At the start of the aerial part, helicopters flew first. These helicopters carried China’s national flag. Behind them, there were different kinds of planes: early warning planes, fighter jets, bombers, and transport planes. Many of these planes are very advanced. Some of them even appeared in public for the first time! The planes flew in neat, strong formations (编队). When people below saw this, they cheered loudly.

A team of Chinese scientists has developed a robot fish. It can clear away microplastic particles (塑料微粒) from water environments.
The robot fish are about 1.3cm long. They are made of a soft chemical mixture. The robots are built to take in microplastic particles, which are smaller than 5mm. Microplastic pollution has been discovered in many natural environments, and the microplastic particles come from the breakdown (分解) of plastic products and industrial waste.
When lit by a bright light, the robot fish can move its tail from side to side. Using the light, scientists can control the robot fish to swim and avoid hitting other fish or ships. It can swim up to 2.76 body lengths (长度) per second. This is faster than most similar robots.
