专题08 课后续写 主题01 人与社会——陌生人 Passage 1 (24-25高一下·安徽滁州·期末) Anika followed her parents through the busy airport, holding her suitcase and looking in surprise at the crowded airport. It was her first time flying, and a mix of excitement and nervousness filled her. She tightly held her doll, Pansy, seeking comfort as they made their way to the boarding gate. After boarding the plane, a friendly flight attendant (乘务员) smiled at her and asked where they were going. “Walt Disney World,” Anika replied proudly. “Fantastic,” said the flight attendant. She pointed to her name card. “I’m Leanne. You let me know if you and your pretty doll friend need anything.” “Thanks. I’m Anika, and this is Pansy,” said Anika, holding the doll up to show her. Once seated, Anika read a book and did puzzles with Pansy. But soon boredom and tiredness crept in. Her mom suggested a rest, saying that a rest would make her fresh and energetic when they landed. Anika agreed. Leanne brought a pillow, a blanket, and a sleep mask to cover her eyes, whispering that these would keep her warm and comfortable. Anika covered Pansy with the blanket and fell asleep against her dad’s shoulder. It felt like minutes before her parents gently shook her awake. They had arrived Anika’s parents gathered their bags while Leanne collected blankets nearby. “Did you sleep well?” Leanne asked. “Yes!” Anika replied. “Now you’ll have energy for Disney!” Leanne said. Leanne waved goodbye to Anika and her parents, and then smiled at Anika, “Have a magical trip! Maybe I will see you next week on your return flight home.” Anika smiled. Her first flight had been exciting. Now, the real adventure—Disney World—awaited Stepping into Florida’s sweet air, Anika’s tiredness disappeared, replaced by expectation. She couldn’t wait to swim in the hotel pool and then enjoy all the adventures at the magical amusement park. When they arrived at the hotel, Anika realized Pansy was missing. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Anika dragged her suitcase through the airport, less excitedly this time. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 When they arrived at the hotel, Anika realized Pansy was missing. Panic washed over her. She searched through her suitcase and all around the hotel room in a frenzy, but there was no sign of her beloved doll. Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought about losing her dearest companion. Her parents tried to comfort her, saying they could buy a new one, but Anika knew it wouldn’t be the same. Remembering Leanne’s kindness, Anika’s mom called the airline to see if Pansy had been found on the plane. Anika dragged her suitcase through the airport, less excitedly this time. She was still heartbroken over losing Pansy. As they approached the boarding gate for their return flight, she noticed Leanne smiling at her. Leanne held up Pansy. “A kind passenger found her on the plane,” she said. Anika’s face lit up with joy. She hugged Leanne and then Pansy tightly. Her heart was filled with gratitude. This time, as the plane took off, Anika looked out of the window, her adventure truly complete with Pansy back in her arms. 1】Remembering Leanne’s kindness, Anika’s mom called the airline to see if Pansy had been found on the plane.(运用了if引导的宾语从句 ) 【高分句型 2】As they approached the boarding gate for their return flight, she noticed Leanne smiling at her.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句 ) Passage 2 (24-25高一下·安徽芜湖·期末) I spent almost three years in food service doing everything from washing dishes to working as a service director at a country club. Firstly, I waited tables, and it was actually one of my favorite jobs, mostly because of the people. One thing I learned is doing your job right and focusing on ensuring that your customers have the best dining experience. During college, I worked at a place called O’Malleys. It’s not open anymore so I don’t have to worry about getting anybody in trouble, and besides, this isn’t that kind of story. Every Sunday, these two ladies and a little girl would come in, and nobody wanted to wait on them because they were super cheap and never tipped (给小费), so I volunteered, and they became my regulars. I quickly learned that it was a mom, her young daughter, and her mother. They always ordered the same thing. They’d each get water. The two women would split an entrée (主菜), and the young girl would get something off the child’s menu. And they’d leave no tip. I didn’t really care because Sunday lunch was always busy with the crowd, and their check was so small that even a 20% tip would have been just a few dollars. Besides, they were super nice, and I understood that this was their special time out. Going out just wasn’t something they could do. I did my best to treat them just like everybody else, which they appreciated. This went on for over a year. Every Sunday, they would come in their pretty dresses, sit in my section, order the same thing they always did, and not leave me a tip… until one day, they did That day, they came in and ordered iced tea and a soda for the girl, I knew something was up. The two ladies each got their own entree. The little girl got a full order of chicken strips. I’m not sure why I remember exactly what she ordered. Of course, I asked what the celebration was. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The mother said they were moving to New York the next week. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Of course, I asked what the celebration was. The mother’s eyes sparkled with pride as she said, “I’ve been promoted at work! After all the hard work, it finally paid off. We just had to come here and have a special meal to mark the occasion.” I couldn’t help but smile along with her. I made sure their dining experience was even more special than usual, suggesting some of the best-selling desserts. The mother said they were moving to New York the next week. She then handed me a tip that was much larger than I ever expected. “You’ve always made us feel welcome here. This is for you,” she said. Holding the money, I felt a deep sense of warmth. It wasn't just about the money; it was about the recognition of my kindness. This experience taught me that kindness is always worth it, no matter how long it takes to be rewarded. 1】I made sure their dining experience was even more special than usual, suggesting some of the best-selling desserts.(运用了省略that的宾语从句作made sure的宾语) 【高分句型2】She then handed me a tip that was much larger than I ever expected.(运用了that引导的定语从句) Passage 3 (24-25高一下·安徽六安·期末) In 1989, I had just graduated from high school. I had three months before college started, and I found it hard to choose a career path. My choices were limited. I could become a doctor or an engineer, or go into finance (金融) after getting a business degree. I wasn’t interested in engineering, so I was left with medicine or business. I couldn’t decide. My uncle, one of the elders in the family, suggested that I be a one-month intern (毕业实习生) at an international company and then a one-month intern at a hospital. After that, I could make a decision. It seemed like a great idea. I was accepted as a one-month intern at a foreign bank. I learned how the finance world worked, made new friends, and enjoyed the relaxing working environment. The month passed quickly, and I started working at a leading hospital. This experience was completely different. The hospital was very demanding. The days started at 7 am(compared to 9 am at the bank)and were full of endless duties. It was crazy. I began thinking about my two experiences. The bank offered a more relaxing working environment, better working hours, and less stress. The hospital was full of excitement and something unpredictable (难以预料的), but the studying and training were very hard. It seemed like business was going to win. In the last few days of my hospital internship, I was driving home after a very busy night. On the way, I saw an old man and an old woman standing by the road, looking very worried. I pulled over and asked what was wrong. The old man told me that his wife suddenly felt very sick and needed to go to the hospital immediately. Hearing this, I decided to help them. I quickly got the old man and his wife into my car. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The next day, I went to see the old man and his wife. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 I quickly got the old man and his wife into my car. I drove as fast as possible, checking on the woman nervously through the rearview mirror. She leaned weakly against her husband, who kept thanking me repeatedly. When we arrived at the hospital, I helped them register and accompanied them to the emergency room. The doctors rushed in to treat the woman, and the old man held my hand tightly, saying I was their savior that night. I stayed until her condition stabilized, realizing how a small act could mean so much to others. The next day, I went to see the old man and his wife. The woman was resting comfortably, and her face lit up when she saw me. “You’re an angel,” she said, reaching for my hand. Her words touched me deeply. As I talked to them, I realized something: Though the hospital life was tough, it offered moments of real connection and purpose. I thought about the bank’s ease but found myself drawn to the hospital’s chaos — where every day might bring a chance to help someone. That’s when I knew my choice: I wanted to be a doctor, to be there for people in their darkest hours. 词汇激活 行为类 ① 快速驾驶:drive as fast as possible/speed up/drive hurriedly ② 冲:rush/dash ③ 握住我的手:hold my hand/take my hand/grab my hand 情绪类 ① 紧张:nervously/anxiously/with tension ② 深深感动某人:touch sb deeply/move sb. greatly 【点睛】【高分句型1】When we arrived at the hospital, I helped them register and accompanied them to the emergency room. (运用了现在分词短语作状语以及省略引导词that的宾语从句) Passage 4 (24-25学年高一下·合肥六中·期末) It was June, the last day of school. My class of first-graders was feverishly anticipating their summer vacation. To add a joyful flavor, I had some balloons brought in, but for me, this holiday was bittersweet. I’d just moved to this city and couldn’t afford to fly back to accompany Dad. He was desperately missing me, for it was his first summer without me. When switching off the light on my way out, I noticed the balloons near the window. Unsure what to do with them, I grabbed the thirteen strings and stuffed them into the backseat of my car. Their rainbow of colors lifted my spirits and gratefully, I didn’t feel so alone. As the city was still foreign to me, I decided to go for a drive and soon found myself winding down a stretch of road where the trees overhead covered each other. The branches reminded me of two friends stretching out to greet each other. Before long, a retirement home appeared. It was a place with a feeling of forgottenness and I spotted a man sitting alone in the shade outside. I felt a sudden urge to pull in. But the balloons in my backseat blocked my view-then I knew what to do with them. Opening the door and grabbing one of the strings, I waved to the man, and he smiled. His name was Daniel and he was about Dad’s age. When I handed him the balloon, he grinned (咧嘴笑),“Thanks. It gives a little color to my life.” While tying it to his chair, he looked happier than when I arrived. So I smiled, “You’re welcome, Daniel. Perhaps I’ll see you again sometime.” Unexpectedly, he replied, “Perhaps, but probably not. Visitors are always welcome, but rarely come.” His words forced me to slide over an old chair next to his. Then we began chatting about our lives and his voice always reminded me of Dad. I’d thought it would be boring talking with a stranger. But it wasn’t; it was enlightening — I had been feeling lonely, and so had Daniel, and so had the residents in the retirement home. Then I remembered the other twelve balloons in the backseat. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Over the next six months, I visited Daniel often. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 Then I remembered the other twelve balloons in the backseat. An idea sparked. I hurried to the car and returned with the vibrant bunch. Knocking on each resident’s door, I offered a balloon and a smile. Faces lit up like children receiving candies. An elderly lady tied hers to a walker, murmuring “Just like my granddaughter’s birthday.” Soon the courtyard bloomed with floating rainbows. Laughter echoed through the once-silent corridors. As twilight painted the sky, I sat surrounded by storytellers sipping lemonade. Their wrinkled hands patted mine gratefully. For the first time since moving here, loneliness dissolved like sugar in warm tea. Over the next six months, I visited Daniel often. We planted sunflowers by his window, their golden faces tracking the sun like old friends nodding hello. He taught me chess moves from his army days, and I read him newspaper crosswords. Gradually, my students joined our visits, crafting paper cranes with nimble fingers while veterans shared wartime stories. By Christmas, the home buzzed with cookie-baking aromas and carol singers. When Dad finally visited in December, he found me surrounded by silver-haired “adopted grandparents”. His eyes glistened as Daniel shook his hand, “Your daughter’s brought spring to our winter.” 词汇激活 行为类 ①匆忙去:hurry to/rush to/hasten to ②提供:offer/give/provide ③系上:tie/fasten/attach 情绪类 ①感激:gratefully/thankfully/appreciatively ②孤独:loneliness/solitude 【点睛】【高分句型1】As twilight painted the sky, I sat surrounded by storytellers sipping lemonade. (运用了现在分词短语作状语和while引导的时间状语从句) Passage 5 (24-25高一下·安徽蚌埠·期末) Last weekend, I signed up for a community volunteer activity to clean and beautify the local park with several classmates. In the morning, we gathered at the park entrance, equipped with trash bags and gloves. The park, once a lively place, now was messy with rubbish everywhere. As we spread out to handle the mess, my attention was drawn to a boy standing near a stone bench. His old jacket hung loosely on his thin body, as if it had been worn for a long time. He looked around nervously, like a scared animal watching for danger. Suddenly, he moved quickly, grabbing something shiny from the bench and putting it into his pocket. My heart stopped when I realized it was a smooth, silver watch with a leather strap (皮带)—clearly a valuable item. I knew the boy had taken the watch. My first thought was to go to him directly and point out his serious moral (道德上的) mistake, for it was everyone’s responsibility to stand up for honesty and fairness. But when I looked at the boy, I saw fear and hopelessness in his eyes. He was a poor kid, maybe no more than ten years old. I couldn’t help wondering what difficulties might have made him do this. If I reported him to the park office, he might get into serious trouble, maybe negatively affecting his young life. But if I ignored it, it would mean allowing his bad behavior, which went against my belief. I stood there, feeling a strong moral conflict. Just then, the park office began to broadcast, looking for a lost watch. At that, the boy hesitated for a moment, and then disappeared somewhere before I knew it. I shook my head and began to work, but my mind was still on the boy and the watch. That evening, as I lay in bed, the boy’s scared face kept coming to my mind, and I still hadn’t decided what to do.When I arrived at the park the next day, I saw the boy sitting alone on the same bench, even more upset. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We went to the park office at once, telling them we had found a watch. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】When I arrived at the park the next day,I saw the boy sitting alone on the same bench, even more upset. He looked around nervously as if expecting someone. I approached and said gently “I noticed what happened here yesterday. Can you tell me about it?” His face turned pale. “I...I took that watch,” he whispered with shame, staring at his worn clothes. “I envied other kids’ decent jackets and just wanted to buy one.” Moved by his honesty, I advised him to hand it in to the staff member. He nodded, admitting he’d felt guilty ever since and came back to return the watch. We went to the park office at once, telling them we had found a watch. Seeing the watch, a staff member smiled kindly and praised the boy for his honesty. Then she gave him some money, saying it was a reward from the owner. Feeling embarrassed, he pushed it back, saying “I just want to earn money by myself.” The staff member nodded, offering him a part-time job to collect trash during weekends. As we left, the boy’s face was no longer filled with fear but a newfound resolve, and a bit of hope. 期待:expect/anticipate ②.建议:advise/suggest ③.发生:happen/occur/take place 情绪类 ①.不安地:anxiously/nervously /uneasily ②.尴尬的:embarrassed/awkward 【点睛】[高分句型1]. Frozen by fear, the group of students surrounding May silently hoped that her latest victim wasn’t among them, but they knew full well that there was always a chance. I loved school. But since May had transferred (转学) in, our school had become an uncomfortable place. At about five feet eight inches, May was the tallest kid in our fifth grade class. She routinely played jokes on innocent third graders who were too afraid to defend themselves. I had managed to keep silent, and I wanted to keep it that way. But all that changed when I showed up for school one morning with a new hairstyle. It all started when my best friend, Jaime, said my hair looked nice. I noticed May’s unfriendly eyes; it made me uncomfortable, but I remained focused on my math worksheet. Then came May’s frightening claim across the room: “Nice braid(发辫). Somebody might cut it off.” I was scared. But what really sent me into desperation was when May moved her fingers to imitate (模仿) a pair of scissors in motion. My stomach dropped to my knees, and I immediately came up with a plan, which involved hiding out in the bathroom at the end of the school day so as to avoid running into May on the walk home. I awoke the next morning with a start and hurried to the bathroom to watch my mother get ready for work. “What’s wrong, Courtney?” my mother asked. I told my mother the whole story. My mother said seriously, “She makes merry by making others scared. That’s all. Don’t be afraid of her, Courtney. If she can see that you’re not afraid, she will stop. I’ll bet she’s like everybody else— she just wants to fit in and make friends. Perhaps she just doesn’t know how.” With my mother’s words rolling in my head, I decided to do something. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Unexpectedly, May smiled and agreed to go to my house after school with me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: With my mother’s words rolling in my head, I decided to do something. After lunch, I approached May who was sharpening her pencil and went for broke. I invited her to come to my house after school. "We could walk home together, if you’d like. Maybe watch the Nickelodeon Channel?" I offered. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I was somewhat calmed by the idea that I’d be in my home, under the watchful eye of my parents, where little could go wrong. Still, I was proud that I had extended the invitation. Unexpectedly, May smiled and agreed to go to my house after school with me. I don’t remember what we watched on television, or what my mother prepared for our after-school snack. But I do know that May Jordan has never done bad things again and has been kind to everyone around her. And we became pretty good friends. After spending countless afternoons at my house, I realized that, yes, underneath the tall girl’s armor was an insecure fifth grader who wanted nothing more than to be accepted. You can’t judge a book by its cover. Someone who looks different on the outside can really be just like you. 接近:approach/be close to ②.邀请:invite/ask ③.意识到:realize/be aware of 情绪类 ①.使平静:calm/smooth down ②.自豪:be proud/take pride in 【点睛】 [高分句型1]. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I was somewhat calmed by the idea that I’d be in my home, under the watchful eye of my parents, where little could go wrong.(由if引导的条件状语从句和that引导的同位语从句) [高分句型2]. Someone who looks different on the outside can really be just like you.(由关系代词who引导限制性定语从句) Passage 2 (24-25高一下·安徽金榜教育·期末) Here are a few things you need to know about my dad. First, he was a slightly impatient kind of guy. If he wanted something done, he wanted it done NOW, if not sooner. Second, you need to know that Dad was an early riser. Every single day. No exceptions. No excuses. Work or no work. Holidays or vacation days, there was my father, up and ready to go. Oh, and you should know that Mom was a night owl, up late watching a late movie or a wrestling match. One more thing about my dad. He was colour-blind. That usually doesn’t matter. And he was a fairly conservative kind of person. For instance, he bought our new home out in the country and objected immediately to the stucco (灰泥) being a pale peach colour. Way too “flashy” for Dad. He hired a painter to cover up all that peach with a nice, not-flashy grey. Dad was fond of grey anyway. And so, we arrived at the Saturday morning when Dad sprang out of bed as bright-eyed as ever, felt restless, and looked around for something that needed doing. Mom was sound asleep, as usual. My brother and I slept in a bit. There was nobody around to keep an eye on Dad and whatever he decided to do next. So, Dad decided that the porch (门廊) on our newly grey house needed a fresh coat of paint. He headed off to the hardware store to get paint and painting supplies. He did not tell any of us. Nor did he invite any of us along. We’ve never been sure what happened at the hardware store. Did he ask for advice? Did he study colour samples? Did another shopper help him choose? Who knows? But we’re all pretty sure that Dad had no clue what colour he was painting the wooden porch. My brother and I woke up, wondered where Dad was, and went looking for him. We froze in our tracks when we stepped outside. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Looking at the bright pink porch, we three exchanged looks, unsure how to tell him the truth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】We froze in our tracks when we stepped outside. The porch, which had been a dull grey, was now a shocking, bright pink. It wasn’t just pale pink -- it was a glow-in-the-dark pink, a be-seen-for-miles pink, a stop-your-car-to-stare pink. For a moment, we simply stood there, caught between disbelief and silence. After realising what had happened, we made a quick dash for Mom. Still half-asleep, she rushed out in her robe and slippers. Fairly satisfied, Dad turned around with a wide grin and asked for our comments on his “masterpiece”. Looking at the bright pink porch, we three exchanged looks, unsure how to tell him the truth. At last, Mom stepped forward and gently told Dad that the porch was not grey, but pink-bright, unmistakable pink. Dad froze, his grin collapsing as he narrowed his eyes at the porch. Then, instead of anger, a soft laugh escaped him. The rest of us joined in, relieved. From that day forward, Dad never chose paint colors again, and the pink porch remained untouched-a gentle reminder of both his impatience and his good humour, and a memory we carried with affection. 1】After realising what had happened, we made a quick dash for Mom. It didn’t come from her phone or computer, but from a small grey thing curled up beside her keyboard. This wasn’t an ordinary toy—it was an AI pet. The AI pet had fluffy fur, big blinking eyes, and artificial skin that gave off a gentle warmth. It would turn its head toward Sarah, make a soft cry, and rub against her hand just like a needy kitten. Although it couldn’t move around like a real animal, its built-in camera could “see” people, food, and other objects, and it would respond with eye contact, sounds, and gestures. With the AI pet by her side, Sarah felt less lonely at work. However, having learnt about her over-reliance and potential insecurity about AI creation, her friend Elvis strongly recommended quitting it. Just when Sarah thought the danger was over after turning off the AI pet, new trouble crept in. One night, she received a strange email with a video attached. When Sarah clicked it open, her hands started shaking with fear—the video recorded everything she did at home, from chatting on the phone with family to sitting alone in a daze. The email also had a horrible message: “Your precious AI friend may be silent now, but its eyes are everywhere.” After that, Sarah felt scared all the time, as if someone was watching her every move. She searched every corner of her apartment, trying to find hidden cameras, but found nothing. Angry and desperate, she even considered giving up on all electronic devices. Just when she felt most helpless, her adopted puppy, Lucky, wagged its tail and gently rubbed against her leg. Looking into Lucky’s innocent eyes, Sarah suddenly realized that the warmth and comfort she felt with the real puppy were something the AI pet could never replace. Determined to fight back, Sarah joined forces with Elvis to get out of the trouble bravely. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After a lot of joint efforts with the police, the problem was finally solved. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Determined to fight back, Sarah joined forces with Elvis to get out of the trouble bravely. First, they carefully analyzed the strange email and the video, looking for any clues that might lead them to the culprit. They also contacted the police, providing all the evidence they had. Meanwhile, Sarah started to document every strange occurrence around her. Elvis, on the other hand, delved into the technology behind the AI pet, trying to find out if there were any loopholes that could have been exploited. They worked day and night, not letting fear stop them. After a lot of joint efforts with the police, the problem was finally solved. The police traced the source of the email to a hacker who had been targeting users of the AI pet. He had found a way to hack into the device’s camera even when it was turned off. The hacker was arrested, and Sarah felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. From then on, Sarah cherished Lucky more than ever. She realized that real - life connections and the love of a living being were far more valuable than any artificial creation. She also became more cautious about using AI products, always making sure her privacy was protected. 1】First, they carefully analyzed the strange email and the video, looking for any clues that might lead them to the culprit.(运用了that引导的定语从句) 【高分句型2】Elvis, on the other hand, delved into the technology behind the AI pet, trying to find out if there were any loopholes that could have been exploited.(运用了if引导的宾语从句和that引导的定语从句) Passage 2 (24-25高一下·安徽智学联考·期末) One year, I was leading a group of twelve-year-olds on a five-day trip at a summer camp. With me I had two female social workers, and Peter, who was eager to become a junior guide but was worried about bears. On the morning of the third day, we had finished breakfast, the tents were down, and the bags were all packed. Peter headed toward the mobile toilet about fifty meters away from the campsite (露营地). He returned, saying loudly, “B…b…b…bear!” I told him to calm down so as not to cause panic in our group. I asked him to continue loading the canoes (独木舟). “It’s probably just a raccoon (浣熊),” I said. “But I’ll go to check it out.” I grabbed my axe, just in case, and set off for the mobile toilet. I seriously doubted Peter’s account. But then I saw it. A big black bear was heading toward our campsite. I returned to the group and told everyone to finish packing and got all the campers into the canoes and out into the water. They would leave me one canoe and wait in the lake while I monitored the bear’s advance. I was concerned about both the safety of our group and the possibility that the bear would take our food supply. Staying for two days out in the wilderness made having no food a serious issue. My goal was to ensure that we left the site with all our belongings safely, and in order to balance the risk, I needed to see what that bear was doing. I was still holding the exe, but as I approached within sight of the bear again, I realized how useless it would be. I watched as the bear walked forward and reached the wooden box toilet. At this point, I was probably fifteen meters away from him. He smelled the wooden box and then, as if it were a stone, kicked it sideways, sending it flying about ten meters. Then, the bear stood up on his back legs, reaching a height of close to seven feet. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After what seemed like twenty minutes, the bear shifted his gaze(凝视的目光)from me. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】参考范文 Then, the bear stood up on his back legs, reaching a height of close to seven feet. He turned and looked right into my eyes. I was so scared that I didn’t dare to move even a bit. I just stood still there, unsure what to do. This powerful beast locked his gaze on me, but something happened in that exchange. At that moment I didn’t feel any fear. Instead, seeing how large this animal was, I felt awe. And I believe my eyes told him as much. After what seemed like twenty minutes, the bear shifted his gaze(凝视的目光)from me. He lowered back down on all fours, turned his head and walked away. Feeling my heart start to beat again, I turned around quickly and headed back to the campsite. Everyone was waiting for me anxiously in the lake, so I jumped into my canoe and after ten minutes, I joined them. I told them what had happened and how lucky I was. We shared a wonderful moment of peace, with awe and wonder. 词汇激活 行为类 ①发生:happen/occur /take place ②看见:see/spot ③开始:start/begin 情绪类 ①害怕的:scared/afraid/terrified ②焦虑地:worriedly /anxiously/in anxiety/nervously 【点睛】[高分句型1] I was so scared that I didn’t dare to move even a bit. It connected me to my roots, as my father and grandfather had all graduated from here. So, when our teacher Mr. Dow announced a group project to create a brochure (小册子) about our school for its 100th anniversary, I was excited. The best three brochures would be displayed in the school library, which was a chance to show the new students how wonderful our school was. I was paired with two classmates: Jake who loved photography, and Lily who had a gift for writing. Working with others could be fun, right? But my enthusiasm quickly faded. Our first meeting was a disaster. When we discussed which part of the school we should focus on, Jake kept talking about cameras and photos. I turned to Lily, hoping for some support. But she simply shrugged and said, “I’m not really into this. It sounds boring.” Jake nodded in agreement. The project seemed to be harder than I thought. At our next meeting, I tried to lead the conversation back to the project. I shared some interesting facts I had researched about the school. However, neither of them seemed interested. Jake had promised to gather materials from the library, but instead he showed us photos taken on the weekend. Lily hadn’t started her part of the research either, claiming she had been too busy. I felt like I was the only one who cared. Back home, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I stayed up late that night, trying to create the brochure by myself. But no matter how hard I tried, the result was far from satisfactory. I was exhausted and disheartened. My mom noticed I was upset. “You can’t do this alone,” she gently reminded me. “Jake and Lily have talents that can make this project shine. You just need to find a way to get them involved.” With only three days left, my pressure increased gradually. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On the final day, we presented our brochure in class. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 With only three days left, my pressure increased gradually. I brainstormed, then invited Jake and Lily home. Opening my grandfather’s diary, I pointed at the faded photo of his class. “Your camera can save the moment for the future,” I told Jake, whose eyes suddenly sparkled. Then I suggested he photograph every corner of the school like “time travelers”. Meanwhile, Lily was engaged in my grandfather’s love letter, eager to bring hidden stories back to life. I organized layouts, combining historical accuracy with creativity. Laughter replaced frustration as the clock ticked. On the final day, we presented our brochure in class. We stood by the blackboard as everyone went through the pages. They examined the brochure carefully, with their fingers tracing the photos, narratives and timelines which a connected three generations of graduates. Faces held surprise. Mr. Dow tapped our shining names: “This isn’t just for the anniversary—it’s about how its spirit lives through students’ cooperation.” That afternoon, seeing our brochure displayed, we knew combined talents created what none could alone. 词汇激活 行为类 ①建议:suggest/recommend ②忙于:be engaged in/be occupied with ③告诉:tell/inform ④代替:replace/take the place of 情绪类 ①渴望的:eager /thirsty ②惊讶:surprise/amazement 【点睛】【高分句型1】Opening my grandfather’s diary, I pointed at the faded photo of his class. “Your camera can save the moment for the future,”I told Jake, whose eyes suddenly sparkled.(运用了现在分词作状语和whose引导的定语从句) 【高分句型2】That afternoon, seeing our brochure displayed, we knew combined talents created what none could alone.(运用了现在分词作状语和what引导的宾语从句) 主题01 亲情 Passage 1 (23-24高一下·合肥六校联盟·期末) There’s a boy named Tom who had a large family, happily living with his sisters, parents and grandmother. His grandmother loved everyone a lot and was respected by all family members. She was very old, yet sometimes she would recall things from her past and share with them. Sometimes they would believe her but at other times they would think that Granny might be mixing up the facts due to her old age. One day, when Tom was in school, suddenly while knitting (编织), Granny remembered something and she couldn’t contain her emotions so she got up to tell her son—Tom’s father. She walked as fast as she could to his room and said, “You always asked about my birth date but do you know today is the day when I was born.” She looked at her son with an excited expression, expecting an immediate response. However, her son wondered how she could remember her date of birth in this old age when she forgot so many other things, so he didn’t pay much attention to this. Disappointed at her son’s reaction, Granny then went to Tom’s mother and Tom’s sister, but like Tom’s father, nobody believed her. Disheartened, she went and sat in the terrace (阳台). When Tom returned from his school, he found his grandmother sitting alone with a sad expression. Tom asked his granny about the matter, but she said there was nothing to worry about. After a lot of persuasion she said what was troubling her—nobody seemed to care that it was her birthday today! After hearing what Granny said, Tom thought of a plan. Purely by chance, some of Tom’s friends were playing nearby so he shared his plan with them. Tom’s friends were all glad to help him with his plan. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Tom’s granny was so happy, with tears of joy shining in her eyes. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 Tom’s friends were all glad to help him with his plan. With Tom acting as the director, stage designer and host, preparation for a performance stage was soon finished. Afterwards, a series of eye-catching performances, ranging from dancing, crosstalk, acrobatics and magic tricks were given by Tom’s friends. By this time, the audience had expanded from granny to the whole family, all of whom gave thunderous applauses to the carefully staged shows. Towards the end, a huge banner saying “Happy Birthday, granny!”was put up on the central stage, which pushed the warm and loving atmosphere to its peak. Tom’s granny was so happy, with tears of joy shining in her eyes. “For all my life, I have…never spent....my birthday with so many…relatives and lovely kids. Thank you, Tom and all of your kids.” Granny stammered, choking up with gratitude and bliss. “Never mind, granny!” Tom grinned, knowing deep down that the real reason for granny’s tears was not the party itself, but love, care and trust from her family members, which she believed were gone when they reacted indifferently to her ‘made-up’ birthday. 词汇激活 行为类 ①结束:finish/complete ②热烈鼓掌:give thunderous applauses/applaud wildly ③结结巴巴地说:stammer/falter 情绪类 ①感谢某人:thank sb./show one’s gratitude to sb./be grateful for sb. ②冷漠地:indifferently/nonchalantly 【点睛】[高分句型1] By this time, the audience had expanded from granny to the whole family, all of whom gave thunderous applauses to the carefully staged shows. I stood at the school gate, with a loaded backpack on my shoulders. It was Friday again — a weekend of joy with unlimited sleeping hours and dinner courses specially made to my taste. I waved goodbye to my friends as they jumped into their fathers’ warm and comfortable cars. Curiously, this gave rise to a disturbing feeling in me. It was not exactly what they called jealousy, but something like depression. I knew all 1 could expect was an old bike Mom would ride along on, with the badly-oiled chain creaking against the wheel to announce her arrival. Every Friday when Mom came to pick me up, it was a moment full of great expectation and great unease. I always felt my face burning as we rode our way in and out of the cars and saw my friends’ faces sticking out of the car windows. It was like stepping into a ballroom with beautifully dressed ladies and finding yourself in a smelly T-shirt. To tell you the truth, Mom is quite a headache occasionally. She looks like a homely middle-aged housewife. She knits most of my sweaters, chiefly in old styles. Whenever caught by some curious classmates asking what brand my sweaters are, I’d force a smile and reply in a half-joking manner: homemade. She simply doesn’t seem to understand what’s in fashion; Chanel or Gucci means nothing to her. I couldn’t remember when l started to find her such an embarrassment. As a little boy, I relied on her so much. She had been working at home, cooking in the kitchen, knitting by the lamp, or riding across town to buy me a book 1 badly needed. It had always been fun riding with her. I had enjoyed watching our shadows growing longer and shorter in an alternate fashion by the light of the streetlamps along the road. Just now there seemed to be something standing between us, something that made her so strange to me and me to her. Today Mom showed up in a raincoat. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Mom tried to cover me with the raincoat again as a storm set in. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Paragraph 1: Today she showed up in a raincoat. When I saw her, I felt full of great expectation but great unease. I was sick of these.Howl wished I could also have a rich parents like my classmates. Thinking about these things, I was quite dissatisfied with my mother. She also didn’t say a word with me. She just wanted to make sure that I didn’t get wet. She seemed to know What I felt. I didn’t feel uneased, but was full of greatness for the best she tried to give me. 词汇激活 行为类 ①充满了:(be) full of/(be) filled with ②想要:want/would like ③确保:make sure/ensure 情绪类 ①不满意:dissatisfied/discontented ②厌倦了:be sick of/be bored with 【点睛】【高分句型1】When I saw her, I felt full of great expectation but great unease.(运用了when引导的状语从句) 【高分句型2】She just wanted to make sure that I didn’t get wet.(运用了that引导的宾语从句) 主题02 人与社会——学校/生活 Passage 1 (23-24高一下·安徽庐江·期末) A rich couple who planned to hold a big New Year party at their house went shopping at the market where everything was expensive and at a fixed price. I was just on the way to completing the old man’s last delivery to your home.” Upon hearing this, the husband had tears in his eyes. The wife felt so ashamed that she had no courage to look her husband in the eyes. Suddenly she rushed to the market. Half an hour later, the wife came back with some food in her hand. She just sat and stared at Gertie. Gertie stared back. Then Cecil was on the move. Not knowing why, Gertie followed Cecil through the street. From old opponents to fan drama, it’s just another part of the game. There have even been all-out violent fights in the name of defending your team. However, one high school football player Mario Hoefer showed that his love for the sport didn’t take priority over helping a person in need. One afternoon in September, Charles City High School football team Mario was on faced nearby New Hampton in a Friday football game. Mario was captain of his team and Carter the quarterback of the opposing team. It was really foggy and awfully hot. Filled with excited audience in the stands, the stadium felt like a heated steamer. Every player was we win sweat even during the warm-ups. All this meant the game would be a tough one and a test or the mind and body of both teams. Soon the game began and for the first three quarters, each team seemed to have a chance to win and they took the lead by turns. So exhausted was Mario running back and forth that he cramped (抽筋) up twice. Each time he got a cramp near the New Hampton sideline, his teammates came to his assistance and stretched his leg to ease the cramp. Though feeling uncomfortable and worn out, Mario soldiered on as Charles City protected a slim lead and New Hampton attempted a late comeback. In the fourth quarter, Mario saw his teammates across the field break up a crucial pass intended for Carter. Mario was about to cross over to the other side of the field to high five his teammates when he noticed that beside him, Carter fell onto the ground, screaming in pain, his eyes wide open and a look of panic on his face. Carter grabbed his left calf (小腿肚), trying to move his leg in different positions. The game continued, nobody realizing the moment had been captured by a viewer in the stands. The photo was posted on social media. Surprisingly, it received a flood of supportive responses. Passage 2: 【答案】Of course, I asked what the celebration was. Passage 3: 【答案】 I quickly got the old man and his wife into my car. Passage 4:【答案】 Then I remembered the other twelve balloons in the backseat. His eyes glistened as Daniel shook his hand, “Your daughter’s brought spring to our winter.” Passage 5: 【答案】When I arrived at the park the next day,I saw the boy sitting alone on the same bench, even more upset. One possible version: With my mother’s words rolling in my head, I decided to do something. Passage 2: 【答案】We froze in our tracks when we stepped outside. Determined to fight back, Sarah joined forces with Elvis to get out of the trouble bravely. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Passage 5 (24-25高一下·安徽蚌埠·期末) Last weekend, I signed up for a community volunteer activity to clean and beautify the local park with several classmates. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 主题02 人与社会——亲情 Passage 1 (24-25高一下·合肥六校联盟·期末) “Somebody will get laughed at,” announced May Jordan. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 主题03 人与动植物 Passage 1 (24-25高一下·合肥一中·期末) On an ordinary workday in New York, a soft humming sound came from 26-year-old Sarah’s desk. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Passage 2 (24-25高一下·安徽智学联考·期末) One year, I was leading a group of twelve-year-olds on a five-day trip at a summer camp. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 主题04 友情 Passage 1 (24-25高一下·安徽宣城·期末) I was incredibly proud of my school, the Maplewood Elementary. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 主题01 亲情 Passage 1 (23-24高一下·合肥六校联盟·期末) There’s a boy named Tom who had a large family, happily living with his sisters, parents and grandmother. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Passage 2 (24-25高一下·阜阳一中·期末) School was over, the day was fading and it started to rain. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 主题02 人与社会——学校/生活 Passage 1 (23-24高一下·安徽庐江·期末) A rich couple who planned to hold a big New Year party at their house went shopping at the market where everything was expensive and at a fixed price. They wanted to maintain their level of standard so they didn’t mind paying for it. After buying all they needed, they called a porter (搬运工) to carry everything and drop it at their home. The porter who came was of an old age, and looked very unhealthy, and his clothes were worn, and he looked as if he wasn’t even able to meet his daily needs. They asked the porter about the charges for delivering their goods to their home. The old porter asked for just $20, quite below the market price. Yet, the couple argued and bargained with the porter and finally settled for $15. The port er was struggling to make even one time’s meal so he needed anything he could earn. The couple was very happy thinking how well they bargained with the poor porter and paid him $15 in advance and left after giving the porter their address for delivery. They reached their home and one hour passed, and two hours passed, but the porter still didn’t deliver their stuff. The wife started to get angry at her husband, “I always tell you not to trust such persona ,but you never listen to me. I am sure instead of delivering the goods to our home, he must have disappeared with everything. We must immediately go back to the market to find out and then to the police station to file the complaint against him.” They both left towards the market. On their way near the market, they saw another porter. They stopped him to ask about the old port er and noticed that he was carrying their goods in his cart! Her children lived in a different city and her husband had passed away. In order not to feel lonely, she would take daily walks at the nearby park. One afternoon she saw her neighbor’s son, Martin. He sat alone on a park bench (长椅). Concerned, Doris approached him and asked where his mother Lucy was. “She’s still at work,” Martin answered. “She left you here so she could work? Have you been here the entire day?” Doris asked. Martin nodded, explaining his mom had just got a new job that required her to be out from 9 am to 5 pm. Doris checked her watch, seeing it was 2:30 pm. “Have you eaten?” she asked. Martin replied he had eaten some bread. Doris felt bad for the poor boy. Not wanting to leave him alone, she sat with him and waited for Lucy to pick him up. Later Martin felt his feet were so cold. Doris found his socks were thin and worn out. She took out a shawl (披肩) from her bag and put it around Martin’s legs. Finally, Lucy appeared. “Lucy, it’s dangerous for Martin to be out here alone the entire day, Doris said. Ashamed, Lucy said that she wanted to take care of Martin, but she had to get a job because of their increasing bills to pay. “It’s my first day at my new job. I can’t leave Martin at home alone. If social services (社会服务机构) find it, they won’t allow me to raise him anymore. I have no choice but to leave him in the park in order to work,” she added. Doris knew Lucy was trying her best but also felt bad that Martin would have to stay out in the cold every day. After all, winter was coming. The following morning, when Lucy went to work, Doris met her outside her home. Lucy said that Martin wasn’t feeling well and was still sleeping. He had to stay home for the day. She had planned to open a small shop of her own. After she gave some small cash to a homeless old woman, Gertie continued her way. Then she heard “Meow” from within the dumpsters (垃圾箱). Gertie couldn’t stand a sweet, poor cat would possibly be in a dumpster, which made her rather sad. Even though searching the dumpsters would make her white shirt dirty, she decided to save the cat. She began searching through the trash and the meows began getting louder. Then she saw it. It was a brown box under a heavy trash bag. Inside the box was a black cat. This cat looked the same as her childhood cat, Cecil. Tears began streaming down Gertie’s face. Cecil, which she called this cat, jumped out of the box. She didn’t run. She just sat and stared at Gertie. Gertie stared back. Then Cecil was on the move. Not knowing why, Gertie followed Cecil through the street. About twenty minutes of walking had passed when Cecil finally stopped outside a house. A “For Sale” sign was outside. Cecil walked up to the door and started meowing. “It’s locked.” Gertie thought. But when she turned the door knob (旋钮), the door opened. The house was almost empty. From the looks of it, it was probably a former coffee shop. Cecil began exploring. Jumping on shelves. Smelling, meowing. Gertie didn’t know what she was going to do with Cecil, leaving it alone here and continuing her way or taking it home. She already had two cats back home. “Meow.” Cecil was in the back room. “What is it doing in there?” Gertie wondered. Following her meow, Gertie found Cecil was sitting in the back room. Judging from Carter’s desperate expression, Mario realized Carter was possibly experiencing an unbearable cramp just as he himself had gone through minutes before. But the New Hampton players were farther away from the quarterback. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Mario knew what to do next. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The photo was posted on social media. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Passage 2 (23-24高一下·安徽芜湖·期末) In a world where the sky was painted with dreams, Alice was a star that shined brightest until one day when a disastrous accident took her legs. Then Alice was suddenly thrown into the darkness. The physical limitation changed Alice a lot. She became increasingly isolated (孤僻的). She avoided going out, preferring the quietness of her room to the sounds of the outside world. Her friends, once close, now seemed distant, as Alice pushed them away with her bitter words. She gave up on her dream of a successful career, seeing no point in searching for a job that might never come. Days turned into months. Alice spent her time in loneliness, watching the world pass her by. But one day, a knock on the door broke the silence. It was her friend, Sarah, who had not given up on Alice despite her changes. Sarah sat beside her, listening to her sadness and fears with patience and understanding. Sarah promised to help Alice regain her lost confidence. She began by arranging visits with other friends, encouraging Alice to reconnect with those she had pushed away. Slowly but surely, Alice’s mood improved. Sarah also researched job opportunities that would be suitable for Alice’s condition and applied for her. After weeks of preparation with Sarah’s guidance, Alice’s first job interview finally arrived. Despite her best efforts, the interview didn’t go as smoothly as they had hoped. The interviewer seemed doubtful of Alice’s ability to perform the job duties because of her physical condition. Alice left with a broken heart. As soon as she got home, Alice broke down in tears, feeling like all her hard work had been for nothing. Sarah immediately came to her side with a comforting hug. “Don’t give up, Alice,” Sarah said firmly, “Trust yourself and there will be a company which cares more about your ability. Besides, I can help you. Let’s start from sending out more resumes (简历).” 注意: 1. 续写的词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡相应位置作答。 Inspired by Sarah’s words, Alice wiped away her tears and decided to take her friend’s advice. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Finally, after a long wait, Alice received a call offering her the job position she applied for. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
