B While the world is worried about rocketing energy prices, Feldheim, a small German village surrounded by wind power turbines, has been benefiting from its turn to climate-friendly renewables. “When it comes to keeping the lights on, what’s happening in the rest of the world doesn’t really interest us,”56-year-old Michael Knape, who served as Feldheim mayor for almost a quarter-century, told AFP. Like much of the eastern state of Brandenburg where it is located, Feldheim, with a population of 130, sits on a flat, windswept plain. It owns dozens of wind turbines that generate plenty of energy. Since one of them provides enough power for the whole village, excess energy is stored in batteries for use in periods with little wind, or sold to the network operators. As for heating, a biogas plant runs on leftover grain from an agricultural cooperative. On very cold evenings, the village gets a boost from a woodchip-fired plant. “We hope it always stays like this,” said Petra Richter, whose oil-powered boiler was replaced 15 years ago with pipes carrying communal hot water and a heat exchanger. “I just pay an average of 12 cents per kilowatt hour of electricity, less than half the price usually paid elsewhere in Germany.” According to Knape, the local government also saves several hundred thousand euros a year by doing without fossil fuels. Feldheim started its move towards clean renewables in the 1990s and by 2010 achieved its “energy self-sufficiency”. The small village has since attracted attention from across the world as an example of Germany’s decades-old energy transition project away from fossil fuels and nuclear power. “Feldheim has benefited from its unique local conditions and significant investments,” Knape admitted. “Obviously, I can’t compare this village with a big city. In the long term, Germany still has to think about new solutions.” 24. What can we say about Brandenburg? A. It is located in a very windy region. B. It has achieved its energy self-sufficiency. C. It is a village with a small population. D. It started investing in renewables long ago. 25. What is the woodchip-fired plant mainly used for in Feldheim? A. Lighting. B. Battery charging. C. Heating. D. Leftover grain recycling. 26. Which word can best describe the wind power project in Feldheim? A. Controversial. B. Unreliable. C. Inefficient. D. Profitable. 27. What does Michael Knape imply in the last paragraph? A. Projects in Feldheim cost a lot of money. B. Renewables aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution. C. He is proud of his achievements in Feldheim. D. Feldheim should invest more in renewables. C Everyone loves dolphins. They’re adorable and playful. They’re often called the geniuses of the ocean. But in a recent piece for New Scientist, Caroline Williams has begun to question that last assumption. “When it comes to brainpower, dolphins might not be as special as we might think,” Williams writes. “Studies do show that dolphins can understand symbols the way humans do, but so can sea lions, parrots, monkeys and more. Actually the sea lions learn them more quickly.” Williams also questions the so-called “mirror test”, which claims that dolphins can recognize themselves or have a sense of self. “But if you look at the data, they perform the same behavior when the mirror’s there and when it’s not,” she argues. The size of a dolphin’s brain — even larger than a chimpanzee’s — is often used as proof to its intelligence, but Williams says that is also not the case. “They do have big brains, but then again the relationship between size and intelligence is kind of a tricky one anyway,” she says. According to Williams, the image of dolphins as “peaceful, loving geniuses” can be traced back to Dr. John Lilly. Lilly thought dolphins were at least as intelligent as humans, and spent years trying to figure out a way to communicate with the creature. Lilly’s life and work were an inspiration for the 1973 science fiction film The Day of the Dolphin. George Scott plays a version of Lilly — a researcher who teaches dolphins to speak English. “As a result of his early work, dolphins did start to get more attention and more researchers started looking into their intelligence,” Williams explains. “If similar things had been said about sea lions back then, maybe they would have been given just as much study. So that’s been good and bad really. On the one hand, it means we do understand dolphins quite well because there’s been a lot of research on them. On the other hand, they may be unfairly elevated (抬高) above other species. Our study shows that they are on par with other species at the most.” 28. Which statement is Caroline Williams very unlikely to agree with? A. The mirror test is misleading. B. Sea lions may be smarter than dolphins. C. Dolphins are super intelligent. D. Intelligence is not determined by brain size. 29. What is George Scott? A. A writer. B. A scientist. C. A teacher. D. An actor. 30. Which of the following can replace the underlined phrase “on par with” in the last paragraph? A. As smart as. B. Aware of. C. Suitable for. D. Less sensitive than. 31. What is the author’s main purpose in writing the text? A. To review a movie. B. To introduce a new study. C. To make an argument. D. To expose false assumptions. D If we build settlements on Mars, how will we feed ourselves? Relying on deliveries from Earth would take too long and costs would be too high, since getting to the Red Planet is currently a nine-month one-way journey. On top of that, processed foodstuff lacks vital nutrients. Building upon their past research, scientists at Wageningen University in the Netherlands are now exploring how to use a technique perfected by Maya farmers centuries ago to increase crop production on Mars. The method, named intercropping, involves growing multiple kinds of plants together in greenhouses that reproduced conditions that could eventually be found on Mars. Inside the greenhouses, the researchers filled pots with a mixture of rocks, dust and sand, known as regolith, that is similar to Martian soil. Separately, they also filled some pots with standard potting soil and some with river sand. They added a small amount of organic soil to both the regolith and river sand pots to help root growth. Then, they planted peas, carrots and tomatoes in each of the different soil types, both on their own (a practice known as “monocropping”) and together (intercropping). Their past research had shown that these three crops could grow in Martian regolith, which allowed the team to focus specifically on their questions about intercropping. Peas, carrots and tomatoes are also promising Mars crops because they are high in vitamin C and other nutrients that are typically reduced or destroyed during processing. After 105 days, they harvested their crops and calculated the yield and nutritional value of each plant. Their results were a bit mixed. In the Martian regolith, tomatoes grew much better when planted alongside carrots and peas. The carrots, meanwhile, had a lower yield in intercropping compared to monocropping. The peas fared similarly under both conditions. “The tomato did profit from the peas, but the carrot most certainly did not,” says study co-author Wieger Wamelink. “This was probably due to lack of light. The tall tomato and pea plants did out-compete the carrot by taking light from it.” 32. What is paragraph 3 mainly about? A. The choice of the crops. B. The preparation of the soil. C. The definition of regolith. D. The making of Martian soil. 33. What did the researchers do in their previous experiment? A. They invented two new cropping methods. B. They concentrated on increasing production. C. They tried to preserve the nutrients in the crops. D. They tested if the plants could survive in regolith. 34. What did the researchers find in the current experiment? A. Carrots grew much faster than peas. B. Monocropping worked better for peas. C. Only tomatoes benefited from intercropping. D. Tomatoes and carrots were the best combination. 35. How do the researchers most probably feel about planting the crops on Mars? A. Optimistic. B. Doubtful. C. Cautious. D. Uninterested. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Just like other works of art, a good poem can help you process sadness, anger or fear. Or make you feel happy or excited. 36 , those feelings might be a little hard to tap into. For National Poetry Month, which takes place in April, here are five tips to help you meaningfully connect to a poem. Don’t approach poetry like it’s taught in school. In school, you are usually asked to engage with a poem by trying to understand it, master it and write an essay about it. Actually, that keeps you from developing personal relationships with poetry. 37 . Focus on your feeling. You may often put pressure on yourself to crack a poem, unlock its meaning or figure out what the poet is trying to say. 38 . Instead, ask yourself what you think and feel about the poem. 39 . Poetry is an oral art form before anything else. A lot of information can be gained from reading poems out loud. Visualize the poem. 40 . Then ask yourself the following questions: What colors would you use? What kind of setting is there? If there’s light, what kind of light would it be? Harsh light? Twilight? Dusk? Would it be indoors or outdoors? These brain pictures will show whatever you seem to be getting out of the poem. A. Don’t do it B. Read it out aloud C. Don’t listen to our teachers D. But if you don’t read it in the right way E. If we cannot use such visualizing aids properly F. So rest easy and don’t try to test how much you understand it G. Think of a poem like a movie or a play and imaging yourself as a director 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Since John Muir, the great naturalist, started the national park movement, our concept of parks has remained largely unchanged. Daniel Raven-Ellison, a National Geographic explorer, would like to 41 it. By redefining what a park can be, Raven-Ellison hopes to open our eyes to the 42 that’s already around us, and expand our ambition for 43 more. One of his ambitious project is to 44 the government to declare the entire city of London a national park. “In spite of its 45 streets, London has many 46 we associate with parks, “he points out.” If you 47 not only the large urban parks but also the backyards and the 48 bits of land, the city is already 47 percent green space. My 49 is to make London 51 percent green, up from the current 47 percent.” Raven-Ellison says that it’s 50 by lots of small and everyday actions: Leave a hole in the fence to let animals get through or let a backyard garden go a bit 51 . He adds that for the dream to become reality, though, city residents need to be inspired to love nature, not just to leave it. And those 52 reserves in the city need to be expanded, so the residents can experience nature 53 through their eyes, ears, nose, and skin. “If we want future generations to 54 the wild,” Raven-Ellison says, “then they have to 55 it between their toes on their doorstep first.” 41. He had been there many times with his friends. But this time, it was different. Now, he was with family: his wife and his 13-year-old son. And as they approached the river late in the afternoon, he found that the usually quiet river had been turned into a wild beast due to a heavy rain two days before. It was impossible for them to cross the river to reach the camping site or return to the parking lot because it was too late. “We cannot camp in the wild and I have to send out a message for rescue,” Wilson told his family. He looked around and found a stick. He pulled out his pocketknife and carved “Help” in it. Then he tied a red rope to catch people’s attention. He threw it into the river, but it did not float far and got stuck. “Why not try our luck with our green water bottle and put a note in it?” suggested his wife. Wilson did as he was told to do and threw the bottle into the river. This time, it worked perfectly. “All right, we have tried our best to get help,” Wilson said, “But we should not just wait in this dangerous place in case...” They walked along the river bank for about 5 minutes and found the highest place to set up their tents. They collected enough dead branches and wood to keep a campfire going on all night. As the darkness closed in, they placed on the top of the camp a headlamp with its flashing light on. They waited until 10:30 pm. But nothing happened. So they went to bed. Before turning in, Wilson added more wood to the fire to keep the dangerous animals away. 注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Late in the night, they were woken up by the noise from a helicopter. _______________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ After they settled down in the rescue center, the family learned the whole story. _______________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ 2026年普通高等学校招生仿真模拟·高三英语 参考答案、提示及评分细则 听力部分录音稿 (Text 1) W: Excuse me, I’m looking for books on modern Chinese poetry. Do you have any recommendations? M: Sure, they’re next to the literary criticism section. You’ll need your card to check them out, and the loan period is three weeks. (Text 2) W: I’m supposed to meet Lisa at the cinema in ten minutes, but this bus is so slow! M: Why don’t you just call her and let her know you’ll be late? Or maybe grab a taxi from here? W: That’s a good idea. Thank you. (Text 3) M: Hey, you look worried. Everything okay? W: I’ve been searching everywhere for my car key. I thought it was in my bag. I need to leave for the airport in an hour! (Text 4) W: So, did you hear back from the university about your application? M: Yeah. They offered me a spot, but it’s not the program I really wanted. W: I know it’s not ideal, but getting your foot in the door opens up paths you can’t even see yet. (Text 5) M: Have you tried that new Italian place on Main Street? W: Not yet, but I heard their pasta is amazing. Maybe we could go this weekend or next Monday? M: Next Monday works for me. Shall we say Monday evening around seven? (Text 6) W: Hello, I’m calling about a delivery to 98 Buckley Road earlier today. The tracking information says my package was delivered, but I can’t find it. M: I placed it in the box by the door. W: But there’s nothing inside. Oh, I hope it hasn’t been stolen. M: Was it a red box? W: Red box? Oh! We have two boxes outside — a black one for deliveries and a red one. You must have put it in the red one by mistake. Let me check! M: Sorry about that. W: Found it! No problem at all. (Text 7) M: Professor Lee mentioned the Green Earth Initiative. Do you know anything about it? W: Yes! I applied last year. It’s a great program. You’d be helping them collect data on local water quality. M: That sounds perfect for my major. Is it hard to get into? W: They look for students who are passionate about the environment. Coding skills are a plus, but the main work is field research. M: That’s exactly what I’m looking for. (Text 8) W: Sorry, I missed the viewing this morning. M: No problem. I know you’ve been busy with the coming exams. How’s your schedule now? W: I’m free this afternoon. Could we go over the flat again? M: Sure! It’s a ground-floor unit, so no stairs — perfect for someone with heavy bags. W: That’s great. I was worried about moving furniture. M: And it has a small balcony — not huge, but enough for plants. W: Really? That’s a nice touch. M: Plus, the kitchen is fully furnished: oven, fridge, sink — everything’s ready to use. W: Only $650 a month? That seems too low. M: The rent’s reasonable, and the location is quiet, near the library. W: Then it’s definitely worth checking out. (Text 9) W: I’m so excited about my trip to Suzhou, but I’m also a bit nervous. I don’t know much about Chinese customs. M: The golden rule is to show respect for local customs. For example, if you visit a classical garden or attend a tea ceremony, remember it’s a peaceful and thoughtful experience. W: That sounds lovely. I hope I can enjoy everything even without knowing. Should I stay in a hotel or try a traditional guesthouse? M: Definitely a guesthouse! It’s a unique cultural experience. Besides, learning a few basic phrases like “xièixie” (thank you) or “zàijiàn” (goodbye) will go a long way. This helps you interact with local people. W: Really? That sounds fascinating! M: Believe me! Once you start practicing, you’ll find how beautiful and musical Chinese pronunciation is. It’s not just words. It’s like poetry in sound. (Text 10) M: Good afternoon, everyone! Today, I’d like to share the story of our city’s newest landmark: Skyline Park. Built on the roof of a raised parking garage, this innovative green space was born out of necessity. With no available ground-level land, city planners had to think vertically. The greatest difficulty was securing the investment, but once the design won an international award, funding poured in. What makes Skyline Park special isn’t its location, but its commitment to sustainability. All plants are native species that require minimal water, and the pathways are made from recycled materials. We believe this project will serve as a blueprint for future urban development, proving that even the most crowded cities can make room for nature. 参考答案 1~5 CABBC 6~10 ABCBA 11~15 CBACB 16~20 ABCAC 【答案与解析】 本文是一篇应用文。文章主要介绍了摩托车新锐张雪机车旗下的820RR赛车。 21. For example, even if you eat healthily, lack of sleep or insufficient exercise can disrupt progress. It’s about letting these three elements support each other. I thought this might be helpful for you since you’re working on your fitness goals. Why not give it a try? Let me know if you’d like to discuss it further! Best wishes, Yours, Li Hua 第二节 One possible version: Late in the night, they were woken up by the noise from a helicopter. Wilson jumped out of his sleeping bag and ran out to get the headlamp. While flashing the light at the plane, he kept waving his hands and shouting until he heard the magic words: “We are the rescuers. You have been found. We are looking for a good place to land. Please stay where you are.” After they settled down in the rescue center, the family learned the whole story. It turned out that a man living downstream saw the water bottle when he was fishing in the river. It was trapped in his fishing net. He picked it up and read the note in it. Immediately, he sent it to the rescuers, who got into action at once. On hearing the story, Wilson’s wife jumped up and hugged his husband. “What a romantic adventure!” she whispered to him. 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
