C
Imagine drinking warm water instead of cold soda, cooking a pot of pear soup on a lazy evening, or doing baduanjin (八段锦) to start your day—these are not only Chinese habits now. Fun TikTok videos with words like “Tomorrow, you’re becoming Chinese!” have started a worldwide popular activity, making “Becoming Chinese” a hot topic on social media. From New York to London, foreigners are sharing their “Chinese-style days”, showing that you don’t need to change your nationality (国籍) to love Chinese daily life.
Why do these habits attract so many foreigners? For most people, it is because they are good for health and easy to do. Unlike expensive gym cards or expensive health products, Chinese daily habits are cheap and easy to learn. “Warm water calms my stomach much better than cold drinks,” a US life blogger said. Another user said that 10 minutes of baduanjin every day has fixed her long-term sleep problems. These small changes fit people’s wish for a slower, healthier lifestyle—no wonder these habits became popular!
Another two main reasons make this trend (潮流) grow: rules and technology. China has made visiting easier by making the transit visa-free (过境免签) time longer from 144 to 240 hours for travelers from 55 countries. Foreign visitors have taken this chance to walk on city streets, try local food, and share their trips online. Also, translation tools and social media let these daily moments spread fast—even if you don’t speak Chinese, you can easily follow a porridge recipe (食谱) or baduanjin guide and join the fun.
This trend is not only about habits—it is about seeing China beyond kung fu, pandas and old palaces. As friends from all over the world enjoy warm daily joys like ginger (姜) tea, porridge and baduanjin to relax, it shows that Chinese culture is not only for watching but also for living and enjoying. With easier travel rules and better translation tools, more people will find its beauty. The popularity of “Becoming Chinese” is not a short-lived thing—it is a nice start to closer cultural ties around the world.
36. What does the phrase “Becoming Chinese” mean in paragraph 1?
A. Changing nationality to enjoy Chinese daily life.
B. Following Chinese daily habits for a healthier lifestyle.
C. Learning to post a video on TikTok in Chinese.
D. Moving and living in China for a long time.
37. What is NOT the reason for the popularity of Chinese daily habits?
A. They are healthy and easy to follow.
B. The longer transit visa-free time attracts visitors.
C. Translation tools speed up their spread.
D. They have a long history of thousands of years.
38. What is the author’s attitude towards the popularity of “Becoming Chinese”?
A. Worried. B. Objective (客观的). C. Positive. D. Doubtful.
39. What is the main purpose of the last paragraph?
A. To list more examples of Chinese daily habits.
B. To warn readers the popularity will not last long.
C. To explain the cultural meaning behind the popularity.
D. To compare Chinese culture with other countries’ cultures.
40. What is the best title for this passage?
A. “Becoming Chinese”: the popular trend around the world.
B. The history of Chinese daily habits.
C. How to live a healthy Chinese lifestyle.
D. To ask people to buy expensive health products.
【答案】36. B 37. D 38. C 39. C 40. A

根据第1段“foreigners are sharing their ‘Chinese-style days’, showing that you don’t need to change your nationality to love Chinese daily life”和第2段“these small changes fit people’s wish for a slower, healthier lifestyle”,可推断“Becoming Chinese”指的是跟着中国日常习惯,追求更健康的生活方式。

【38题详解】
根据第4段“it shows that Chinese culture is not only for watching but also for living and enjoying…it is a nice start to closer cultural ties around the world”,可看出作者对这一趋势持积极、肯定的态度。
【39题详解】
最后一段指出,“Becoming Chinese”不仅是生活习惯的流行,更体现了中国文化从被观看走向被体验,能促进全球文化交流,由此可推断该段的主要目的是解释这一流行背后的文化意义。
【40题详解】
全文围绕“Becoming Chinese”这一全球流行趋势展开,介绍了其表现、原因和文化意义,因此“‘Becoming Chinese’: the popular trend around the world”最能概括全文主旨。

Greece has announced (宣布) a new plan to help young people. Starting in 2027, children under 15 will not be allowed to use social media. The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, shared this news in a video message. He said too much screen time is causing problems for many teenagers.
The Prime Minister explained the reasons. He talked to many parents. They said their children often feel worried and cannot sleep well. The children spend many hours on their phones. They compare themselves with others online and read comments (评论). This makes them feel stressed. The design of social media apps can also be very addictive (上瘾的). It is hard for young minds to rest. A recent survey showed that most people in Greece agree with this new rule.
Greece wants to be a leader in protecting young people online. The government has already stopped mobile phone use in schools. Other countries like Slovenia and Spain are thinking about similar rules. The goal is to make the whole European Union think more about young people’s screen time and mental health. This is not about saying ‘no’ to technology, but about helping teenagers have a healthier balance in their lives.
This change makes us think. How much time do we spend looking at screens? Does it make us happy or stressed? Sometimes, a short break from our phones can help us feel better. We can talk to friends face-to-face, play outside, or just relax. It is important to find time for activities that do not need a screen. Our mental health is very important.
What do you think about this new rule? Is it a good idea? Maybe we can all try to use our phones a little less. We can set rules for how much time we use them. Let’s think about what truly makes us feel good and connected. After all, real life happens off the screen too.

B. They are surprised by the government’s decision.
C. They are worried it will not work.
D. They think it is too strict for teenagers.
44. What can we infer from the passage about the Greek government’s goal?
A. It wants to stop young people from using any technology.
B. It hopes other countries will make the same rules about screen time.
C. It believes social media companies should change their apps.
D. It is trying to help teenagers have a healthier life balance.
45. What is the main purpose of the article?

七、阅读表达(共5小题,计10分)
阅读下面短文,根据要求完成各小题。
On the morning of April 19, 2026, something amazing happened in Beijing’s Yizhuang. The 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon was not just a race for humans. It was also the second humanoid robot half-marathon in the world. This year’s theme was “Yima Dangxian”, which means “taking the lead”.
Unlike last year, the 2026 race had a new “human-robot co-running” mode. 3. About 12,000 human runners ran the 21.0975-kilometer race together with over 100 robot teams. The robots were divided into two groups: the Remote Control (远程遥控) Group and the Autonomous Navigation (自主导航) Group. The robots in the second group were very special — they could “see” the road and make their own decisions without any human help. Nearly 40% of the robots ran in this way.
The race was a real challenge for the robots. The course had slopes (斜坡), sharp turns (急转弯) and narrow paths, which could test the robots’ balance and intelligence. Some robots fell down or needed battery changes during the race, but many of them finished successfully. 4. The winning robot, called “Shandian” (闪电), crossed the finish line in 50 minutes and 26 seconds.
This event was more than just a competition. It was like a “final exam” for the robots. It helps push the development of AI technology, so that robots can be more useful in real life, such as in disaster rescue and factory work in the future.

Born in Changsha in 1946, Cai started as an art editor(编辑) and later created over 40 picture books. In 1993, her book Bao’er won the Golden Apple Prize at an international illustration competition in Bratislava.

38. What is the author’s attitude towards the popularity of “Becoming Chinese”?
A. Worried. B. Objective (客观的). C. Positive. D. Doubtful.
