$I was a high school teacher. I once gained entry to peking university as the top scoring student in the national university entrance examination. However, an earthquake changed the course of my life. In two thousand eight, an earthquake struck the small town where I lived. I was in the middle of a lesson at the time and was immediately faced with a difficult choice. If I evacuated the students first, I might be the last to be buried under the rubble, and my mother would be heartbroken. If I ran out myself first, the children would fall in the chaos with no one to leave them. Without hesitation, I ran out alone and was the first to reach the school playground safely.
