Jenny had a big worry. The School Talent Show was only two weeks away, but she had no talents. Every morning, her teacher, Mr. Davis, would smile and ask, “Have you found your special talent yet, Jenny?” And every morning, she told him she had no talents! But he refused to believe it.

In nature, every animal has its own special way to deal with cold weather. Like us wearing coats in winter, animals also have their own "natural warm clothes" or smart methods to keep warm.
Some animals grow thick fur.Arctic (北极的) foxes, for example,grow a heavy white coat in winter. This not only keeps them warm but also helps them hide in the snow. Their fur is so thick that even when it’s -50℃,they still feel comfortable. Similarly, whales have a thick layer of fat under their skin. This fat acts like a warm blanket, protecting them from the freezing ocean water.
Other animals choose to sleep through the cold season. Bears find a warm cave or a hole in a tree to spend the winter. Their body temperature drops a little, and their heartbeat slows down. They live off the fat stored in their bodies during autumn. This special sleep is not like regular sleep; it’s a deep rest that helps them save energy when food is hard to find. Birds have their own ways, too. Many birds, like swallows (燕子) , fly to warmer places before winter comes. This long trip is called migration (迁徙) . For birds that stay, such as sparrows (麻雀), they fluff up (蓬松) their feathers. This traps air between the feathers, creating a warm layer around their bodies. That’s why they look “fatter” in winter!
Even small insects are experts at keeping warm. Honeybees gather together in their home. They form a tight ball and move their bodies to produce heat. The bees on the outside change places with those inside so everyone gets warm.
