三、阅读理解
A
The Xisha Islands are in the north-west part of the South China Sea. They are beautiful places with nice views and many resources (资源). This is how our primary school textbook describes them.
Many Chinese people know about the South China Sea and the Xisha Islands, but only a few have been there. These islands are far away and have a weak ecosystem. Because of this, most activities there are just fishing, protecting the environment, and doing scientific study. Visitors are mainly government workers, fishermen’s relatives, and media (媒体) members.
In 2007, the Chinese government set up Sansha City on Xisha’s Yongxing Island. I once visited Yongle Islands, part of Sansha. I thought the fishermen’s homes would be simple, but they were very comfortable. The island had a vegetable garden, and green vegetables were seen on the local tables. I stayed in a hotel with a playground downstairs. After dinner, everyone got together to play games. Later, I walked along the island’s paths, enjoying the sea view and peaceful moment.
Fishermen told me they used traditional ways to fish. They knew exactly which fish could be caught because of their different sizes. As for smaller fish, fishermen released them back into the sea. One thing that I never forgot was an outdoor movie called Island Keeper. It was about a couple who guarded (保卫) the island for 32 years. Many fishermen were moved to tears. One fisherman said as life on the island improved, his family loved to stay on the island during the fishing season. He also drove a passenger boat, so he made more money even when he was not fishing.
The careful management (管理) of the Xisha Islands limits (限制) tourism but gives job opportunities (机会) to local fishermen.

③The ecosystem there is weak. ④The islands are used for scientific study.
A. ①② B. ③④ C. ①③ D. ②④
3. What does the underlined word “released” in Paragraph 4 probably mean?
A. looked for B. cut…down C. took care of D. let…go
4. What can we infer from the text now?
A. Fishermen catch fish in modern ways.
B. Fishermen enjoy their life on the islands.
C. More and more visitors come to Xisha Islands now.
D. The living conditions of fishermen are poor and simple.
5. Which of the following best shows the structure of the text? (1=Paragraph 1)
A. ①/②/③④⑤/⑥ B. ①/②/③④/⑤⑥ C. ①/②/③/④⑤⑥ D. ①/②/③/④⑤/⑥

根据第1段“The Xisha Islands are in the north-west part of the South China Sea. They are beautiful places with nice views and many resources (资源). This is how our primary school textbook describes them.(西沙群岛位于南海的西北部。它们是有着美丽景色和丰富资源的美丽地方。这就是我们小学课本对它们的描述。)”可知,“them”指代的是“the Xisha Islands(西沙群岛)”。故选B。
2. 题干意思:为什么只有少数人去西沙群岛游玩?①这些岛屿很遥远;②了解这些岛屿的人不多;③那里的生态系统很脆弱;④这些岛屿被用于科学研究。根据第2段“These islands are far away and have a weak ecosystem. Because of this, most activities there are just fishing, protecting the environment, and doing scientific study. Visitors are mainly government workers, fishermen’s relatives, and media (媒体) members.(这些岛屿很遥远,且生态环境脆弱。正因如此,那里的大多数活动只是捕鱼、保护环境和进行科学研究。游客主要是政府工作人员、渔民亲属和媒体成员。)”可知,岛屿遥远和生态环境脆弱导致只有少数人前往西沙群岛,①③正确。故选C。

On February 16, 2026, the CCTV Spring Festival Gala gave the world a big surprise. Dozens of humanoid robots (人形机器人) from Unitree Robotics performed an amazing kungfu show with young martial arts students (武术学员).
The robots did many difficult moves (动作). They did backflips (后空翻), jumped on trampolines (蹦床), and even used swords (剑) and nunchucks (双节棍). They moved in perfect synchronization with each other and with the human performers. The show was called “Cyber Real Kung Fu” and became an instant hit on social media (在社交媒体上迅速走红).
Many people around the world watched videos of the performance. Some were excited, while others felt a little nervous. One person joined on X (formerly Twitter): “Maybe we can ask ChatGPT to stop them if they attack!”
This year’s show was a big leap (飞跃) from 2025. Last year, the same company’s robots danced a traditional Yangge dance (扭秧歌) with handkerchiefs (手绢). Their movements were stiff (僵硬的) and careful. In just one year, they learned to do martial arts with fast and powerful moves. “The progress in just one year is magical. That’s what we call China speed,” said Professor Evrim Kanbur.
How did the robots get so good? The team at Unitree used AI software to help the robots learn. They trained the robots in virtual (虚拟的) environments first. Then the robots practiced in the real world. The robots also have better sensors (传感器) and controls now. They can keep balance even after doing backflips.
The gala also showed other robots. Some robots did comedy sketches (小品), and others folded clothes or rolled walnuts (揉核桃). This shows that robots are getting smarter and more useful.
Why does this matter? China is becoming a world leader in robotics (机器人技术). Last year, China made 90% of the 13,000 humanoid robots shipped around the world. Companies in the US like Tesla are also making robots, but China is moving very fast.
What’s next? Elon Musk thinks humanoid robots will be sold to the public by the end of 2027. In the future, robots may help in hospitals, factions, and even at home. The kungfu robots on Spring Festival Gala are not just for fun — they show us what the future will look like.
1. What did the robots do at the 2026 Spring Festival Gala?
A. They danced a traditional Yangge dance. B. They performed a kungfu show with martial arts moves.
C. They sang songs with human performers. D. They played basketball with children.
2. How was the 2026 show different from the 2025 show?

B. The 2026 show was less exciting.
C. The robots in 2026 did much more difficult moves.
D. The robots in 2026 could talk to the audience.

Masa walked slowly towards the house, stopping now and then to cut off dead leaves or fading flowers. There were few weeds (杂草). Yuki had spent many hours of her two-week visit weeding in the garden. Masa wondered if Yuki had spent so much of her time outside because she wanted to avoid talking to her.
“But Yuki must have wanted very much to see us,” Masa told herself. She had visited in the last weeks of June, as soon as her college was out for the summer.
She said she wanted to stay longer but couldn’t because she had to work. Besides, she needed to use the studio at her college for photography (摄影) and she had to go to the library to read.
“Why do you have to go to college to study art?” Masa asked her. “All the great artists didn’t go to college.”
Yuki shook her head. “That was a different time. It’s hard to explain (解释).”
“I was thinking you could live with us all year round and still be an artist. This is a nice quiet place to live.”
“I don’t know. How would I support myself here?”
“You can always give lessons,” Masa said.
“But I don’t want to spend a long time looking at kids’ drawings.”
“What will you do after you graduate (毕业), anyway? Will you become a teacher somewhere else then?”
“Grandma, I don’t know.” Yuki sighed (叹气).
“What is the use of going to college if you don’t know what you’re going there for?”
“Maybe I’m going because I don’t know. I just want to study art now. I don’t want to think that far ahead (提前).”
The minute Masa was going to point out that this was too careless a way to live, Yuki suddenly stood up and put on her straw hat.
“I’m going to the garden to weed your flowerbed,” she said. “Let me know if there’s something else I can do.”
On Yuki’s visit, Masa felt strained when they talked, and she was sure Yuki also felt it. But Yuki was never rude or annoyed (易怒的). Even when they disagreed, her face was always full of patience.

After having two more glasses of cordial (葡萄露), Diana turned pale. “I’m sick,” she said, “I must go home.” And she left Green Gables and ran all the way home.
On Monday, Anne went to see if Diana was better. She soon ran back home with tears. “What has happened, Anne?” asked Marilla.
“Mrs. Barry says that I sent Diana home drunk (喝醉的) on Saturday. She says she’s never going to let Diana play with me again!”
Marilla went to the cupboard and then came back to the kitchen with a bottle of wine (酒), trying not to smile. “Anne, you gave Diana wine instead of grape cordial. Didn’t you know the difference?”
“I never tasted it,” said Anne. “But Mrs. Barry will never believe me. And now I’ll never be able to play with Diana again!”
The following Monday, Anne surprised Marilla by coming down from her room with her books. “I’m going back to school,” she said. “That is all there is left in life for me, now that my friend is gone.”
Marilla tried not to show how happy she was to hear this. “You’d better work hard,” she said. Anne did work hard, and soon she was top of the class with Gilbert Blythe.
One evening, Anne was at home doing her homework. Matthew was home, but Marilla had gone to town with the Barrys and Mrs. Lynde. Suddenly, Anne looked up and saw Diana standing at the door. She looked very worried. “What is wrong, Diana?” cried Anne.
“Oh, Anne, do come quick,” said Diana nervously. “Minnie May is very sick. Father and Mother are away in town and there’s nobody to go for the doctor.” Matthew quietly got his cap and coat and went for the doctor.

三、阅读理解
A
The Xisha Islands are in the north-west part of the South China Sea.

Thousands of years ago, the West Lake was connected to the sea. The Qiantang River is not far away from the West Lake. It enters the sea in the eastern part of the area. Since the 9th century AD, the beautiful scenery of the West Lake in all seasons has appeared in poems, stories and legends. It’s roughly estimated (估计) that there are about 630 legends of the West Lake alone.
