These help you focus on what’s around you and enjoy the peace of nature. Secondly learn to express your feelings. You can keep in nature diary, take photos or draw what you see. Sharing your experiences in nature with your family or friends also helps you understand your feelings better. Finally bring nature to your daily life. You can create your own nature space. Getting a climbing permit
You can climb Qomolangma from China or Nepal, but both need a permit. A Nepal permit needs about 76,000 yuan.

Getting experience
To prepare for climbing Qomolangma, you should try climbing a mountain over 6,500 metres high. This can help you get used to the environment of high mountains.
Going to the base camp
Here, the climbers wait for good weather to set off. But the weather changes a lot. Climbers might meet snowstorms even if it’s sunny when they set off.
Reaching the top
It usually takes 3-4 days to reach the top. There are 17 ways to climb. The climbers often go with Nepali guides who are good at climbing and can help climbers in danger.

Do you get angry when a friend borrows your favourite thing and then breaks it? Do you get angry when your team loses an important game? Do you get angry when your teacher gives you too much homework? Do you get angry when your best friend does not wait for you after school? Anger is a common feeling, and it’s important to learn to deal with it properly.
First, your body will tell you when you are angry. For example, you breathe faster, your face turns red, and you may want to break something. But sometimes you hide your anger. For example, you are really angry, but you may keep it to yourself. The worst thing is to do nothing but keep quiet. If you do this, maybe you will get a headache.
Then what can we do when we get angry? In fact, it’s normal for you to get angry sometimes. But anger must be let out in the right way. Is it better to cry or break things whenever something makes us angry? Research points out that when we show our anger in this way, we can’t probably get on well with our friends and family. The longer we stay angry, the worse the result will be.
Here are some useful ways. One good way is to keep a record. Every time you get angry, write down the reasons. Besides, say how you’re feeling and why. When you get angry, you can talk about it with other people and share your problems with them like your friends and family. Lastly, do some physical activities. Doing some housework or exercise helps reduce your feeling of anger.
All in all, anger is a normal feeling. The most important thing is to know it well and learn to deal with it properly.
26. How does the writer start the passage?
A. By telling a story. B. By giving examples. C. By making a survey. D. By asking questions.
27. What BIG question does paragraph 2 answer?
A. Why do people get angry easily? B. How to get on well with friends?

28. Which of the following can help deal with the feeling of anger according to the passage?
a. talking with others. b. listening to music. c. writing down the reasons. d. doing some housework.
A. acd B. abd C. abc D. bcd
29. What’s the correct structure of the passage?
A. B. C. D.
30. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. Anger is a bad feeling and we should never get angry.
B. It’s normal to get angry and we should learn to deal with it properly.
C. Doing exercise is the only way to stop being angry.
D. We should hide our anger and keep quiet all the time.

根据“It’s important for sb to do sth”固定句型,可知此处需用动词不定式作主语。
take常用于“It takes sb”结构,go和play语义不符。
“enjoy doing sth.” buying pictures(买画)、watching pictures(看图片)、finding pictures(找图片)都不符合后文“表达感受”的逻辑,只有画画能表达感受。
tired(疲惫的)、heavy(沉重的)、sad(伤心的)都不是运动带来的积极影响,和语境逻辑不符。
前文提到“Hobbies help us relax and learn new things”,所以这里是在肯定爱好的好处。great(很棒的、极好的),符合“爱好有益”的语境。hard(困难的)、boring(无聊的)、bad(坏的)都是负面评价,和前文的积极描述矛盾。

A
Humans seem small in the face of the forces of nature, especially when it comes to Qomolangma. However, about 10,000 people have climbed it. Do you want to be a part of them? There is a lot of work to do.
Getting a climbing permit
You can climb Qomolangma from China or Nepal, but both need a permit. A Nepal permit needs about 76,000 yuan.
Training
As you climb higher, there is less oxygen. Also, the temperature at the top of the mountain is about -34°C. Climbers should train for at least a year by doing exercises like running and swimming. It is also important to learn rock climbing and other skills.

23. Why do climbers often go with Nepali guides when climbing Qomolangma?
A. Because Nepali guides are cheap. B. Because Nepali guides know the shortest route.
C. Because Nepali guides can help climbers in danger. D. Because Nepali guides provide free equipment.
24. Why may some climbers face snowstorms even if it’s sunny when they set off?
A. Because they climb in winter. B. Because the weather changes quickly.
C. Because they choose the wrong path. D. Because they wait at base camp for too long.
25. On which of the following websites can we most probably read the passage?
A. http://www.nature.org/stories/ B. http://www.challenges.com/climb/

B
C. What your body shows when you are angry? D. When should people express their anger?
28. Which of the following can help deal with the feeling of anger according to the passage?
a. talking with others. b. listening to music. c. writing down the reasons. d. doing some housework.
A. acd B. abd C. abc D. bcd
29. What’s the correct structure of the passage?

On 12 August 2024, a 20-year-old student from the UK had an accident. He was in Suzhou for a summer exchange programme at a university. He fell down. After that, he could hardly breathe and was unconscious Someone called 120 right away.
Yang Xiaoping works at Suzhou’s emergency centre. She got the call and quickly knew the student needed CPR Through an online first aid platform(在线急救平台), Yang and another doctor taught a person who was there to do CPR on the student.
When the ambulance (救护车) came, the student was put on an electronic CPR machine on the way to the hospital. When they got to the hospital, the emergency team kept doing CPR for seven more minutes. Then they found the student’s heartbeat and pulse. He was sent to the ICU. Thanks to the proper treatment, he got better fast. A few days later, he could eat and get out of bed by himself.
On 15 August, the student’s parents flew to Suzhou to say “thank you”. “We are so thankful to everyone—the kind people in the university, the ambulance team, the nurses, and especially Doctor LU. We hope to take our son home safely. It would not have been possible without what they did,” his father said.
Doctor Lu is in the hospital’s emergency team. He said, “For a patient like this foreign student, every step is important. It starts with doing CPR on the spot, then the care in the ambulance, and then the hospital’s help. Everything must be done well. The online first aid platform was very important for saving him.
