Dear friends,
As we all know, China has a long and rich history. Today, I'm glad to share a traditional Chinese story with you. The story is based on The Ballad of Mulan.
It happened during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Mulan lived with her family in a village. One day, the officials asked each family to send one man to join the army. Mulan's father was too old to fight, so Mulan decided to dress up as a man. She joined the army and fought for many years. When the war ended, the emperor gave Mulan a job but she wished to go back home. I think Mulan was very brave and set a good example for us.
That's all. Thanks for your listening.
