She shares her talent with others, taking groups on field trips around various locations in New York City, setting up easels (画架) and drawing the beauty of the city. When Danielle returned home one night from Battery Park in New York City, she didn’t realize that she had lost her wedding ring somewhere along the day’s painting journey until early next morning. Then, at 6:00 in the morning, her husband and she went out to search for it. The last place she remembered the ring on her finger was in Battery Park. By the time they got there, all the garbage cans had already been emptied. Desperately, Danielle wrote a note and put it on the windshield (挡风玻璃) of a nearby rubbish truck, hoping that someone might be of help. “Help,” the note read. “I believe my wedding ring might be in this truck.” Battery Park’s employee Gary Gaddist discovered the note when he started his work in the morning. He turned to the management office with the note. Later he gave Danielle a call and explained the whole story, “I had to go to the management office of Battery Park, and when I got there I showed the guys the note. They told me if I wanted to look for a needle (针) in a haystack (干草堆), go ahead.” However, after that, Gary began to do what he thought was worth doing. In New York City, tons of garbage is moved every day in various directions. Gary was looking for a clear plastic garbage bag among hundreds of piled-up bags, containing an artist’s a day’s waste. He was sure to complete the task. At 10:00 that morning, Gary called Danielle again with the good news. When asked why he would take the extra time to help out a stranger, Gary simply said, “I could tell you and your husband love each other. That’s what I desire to gain. I’m glad to help you.” 4. What did Danielle notice early next morning? A. Her husband didn’t return. B. Her wedding ring was missing. C. Her husband had bought a truck. D. Her home was filled with garbage. 5. What did the management officers mean by what they said to Gary? A. It was hopeless to find the ring. B. The ring was thrown into a haystack. C. They had found the ring in the haystack. D. Gary should find the needle first. 6. What made Gary offer to help Danielle? A. His desire to be famous. B. His plan to get a reward. C. His interest in finding out the truth. D. His admiration for the couple’s love. 7. Which word can best describe Gary? A. Kind-hearted. B. Curious. C. Creative. D. Courageous. C Do you like Chinese traditional painting and dance? They are two important parts of the traditional Chinese art. But what about when they meet each other? This year, a dance drama titled Poetic Dance: The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting (《只此青绿》) was staged on CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala and became popular. According to CCTV, this poetic dance program was inspired by the 900-year-old Chinese painting A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains (《千里江山图》). Created by Song Dynasty painter Wang Ximeng at about 18, the painting is amazing in its sweeping size, rich coloration and the expressive details, reported CCTV. It shows a Chinese blue-green landscape: “mountains and groupings of infinite (无限的) rise and fall between cloudless sky and rippling (涟漪的) water”. When the dancers moved elegantly, audiences seemed to be looking at the moving mountains and rivers. “It brings me a pure experience of beauty. It is not only a drama but also an exhibition. Vast mountains and rivers are coming to life!” Internet user Mo Weisha wrote in a review. “More than a thousand years later, green mountains and rivers still impress people as they did long ago.” Some people even decided to watch the dance again when it was staged in the theaters later. In fact, in recent years, more and more modern shows feature Chinese traditional culture and have received warm welcome. As for the reason, it is due to people’s great love for traditional culture. “The younger generations have grown up with a more open mind. They accept Chinese culture and are proud of it.” Yao Wei, director of Henan TV Station’s Innovation Center, told China Daily. 8. What’s the writing purpose of Paragraph 1? A. To show a doubtful attitude. B. To introduce the topic. C. To describe the art world. D. To raise a question. 9. What inspired the poetic dance? A. CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala. B. Song Dynasty painter Wang Ximeng. C. A Chinese blue-green landscape. D. An ancient Chinese traditional painting. 10. Why did this poetic dance enjoy welcome? A. Traditional culture is accepted and loved by people. B. Green mountains and rivers greatly impress people. C. The poetic dance can be staged in the theaters later. D. Increasing modern shows feature Chinese traditional culture. 11. What’s the main idea of the whole passage? A. It explains why Chinese art enjoys popularity. B. It shows us art can come to life through dance. C. It highlights the beauty of Chinese traditional art. D. It tells us the passion for Chinese traditional painting. D When you’re bored, what do you do? The answer is a no-brainer: you reach for your phone. Five minutes of doggy pictures can seem like the perfect break. But a new unpublished study has bad news. Reaching for your phone is likely to leave you feeling more bored. To figure out the relationship between phones and boredom, the research team set up an app on the phones of 83 volunteers to keep an eye on how often they used their devices. They also asked these volunteers to keep detailed diaries at work, recording their level of tiredness and boredom. The researchers’ first discovery was no shocker. We’re on our phones a lot. Phone breaks were very frequent: in the 20 minutes following each questionnaire, volunteers picked up their phone 52 percent of the time, spending an average of around 90 seconds on it each time. Equally unsurprising was the second finding: the more tired we are, the more likely we are to reach for our phones. The real kicker was the final finding. While we look to our phones to relieve our tiredness and boredom, screen time actually seemed to increase feelings of boredom. The research team thought about the different reasons why this might be so. Shifting from work to your phone and back again may end up being more tiring in mind than it is stimulating (提神的). In other words, that baby goat video was nice, but not worth the cost to your brain in effort and concentration. Besides, picking up your phone might just serve as a reminder of all the fun and interesting things out there you could be doing if you didn’t have to fill out paperwork. This one small study can’t clearly say if either of these explanations is right, but the basic takeaway is pretty clear: A quick look at your phone is going to make your brain feel even more fried. If so, what to do instead? 12. Why did the research team set up an app on the volunteers’ phones? A. To ensure their rest time. B. To remove their boredom. C. To track their phone usage. D. To record their tiredness. 13. What do the underlined words “the real kicker” in paragraph 3 probably mean? A. The most unexpected. B. The most advanced. C. The most frequent. D. The most relieving. 14. The baby goat video is mentioned in paragraph 4 to show ________. A. phones can be tiring B. phones can be inspiring C. phones can function as a reminder D. phones can benefit our paperwork 15. What might the author continue talking about? A. Why screen time is harmful. B. How to take a better break. C. Recommended online activities. D. Studies on phone addiction. The Power of 10 Minutes How can we find ourselves with extra two hours? Sneha’s class teacher, Pravina, asked Sneha, her favorite student, to play the leading character in a play. Because she was never allowed to play a male character, Sneha jumped with joy, but suddenly she became so serious about the costumes (戏服). “How many times I have to tell you not to participate in plays and dances! Can’t you understand that we can’t buy or borrow the costly costume? You can take part in debates, quizes, or essay competitions in which you don’t have to spend money and you can enrich your knowledge,” her mother said angrily when Sneha told her about it. The reason behind all this was their financial condition. Sneha always had an idea about it in her home and she was mature enough to say NO to any money demanding condition. This time, however, the desire of fame and the excitement of the activity were overcoming her fear. Sneha went in her room hiding her sadness deep in her heart. She was so nervous about what was going to happen when she would tell Pravina about leaving the play. Would she warn her not to allow her in any competition? Now it was clear that she had to leave the play. The next day, downhearted Sneha acted like nothing had happened and got ready for school. Her mom ordered her to say NO for the play. Sneha always loved Pravina because whenever there was a play or dance, the girls did not need to be worried about anything related with money. She would find a way to help. But Sneha didn’t want to tell her the truth. Paragraph l: Sneha went to the teacher,“I don’t want to take part in the play and I’m leaving.” ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: Pravina stood patiently, waiting for the performance to begin. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2026年春季学期高一年级4月综合训练 英语试卷听力 注意事项: 1. 1. This year, a dance drama titled Poetic Dance: The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting (《只此青绿》) was staged on CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala and became popular. A. C 13. A 14. A 15. 根据第二段中“To figure out the relationship between phones and boredom, the research team set up an app on the phones of 83 volunteers to keep an eye on how often they used their devices.(为了弄清楚手机和无聊之间的关系,研究团队在83名志愿者的手机上安装了一个应用程序,以跟踪他们使用设备的频率)”可知,研究小组在志愿者的手机上安装了一个应用程序是为了跟踪他们的电话使用情况,故选C。 根据划线短语上文“The researchers’ first discovery was no shocker. We’re on our phones a lot. Equally unsurprising was the second finding: the more tired we are, the more likely we are to reach for our phones.(研究人员的第一个发现并不令人震惊,我们经常使用手机。同样不足为奇的是第二个发现:我们越累,我们就越有可能伸手去拿手机。)”可知,前两个发现——我们经常使用手机;我们越累,我们就越有可能伸手去拿手机,这都是很常见的,不足为奇的,根据划线短语所在句子“The real kicker was the final finding. While we look to our phones to relieve our tiredness and boredom, screen time actually seemed to increase feelings of boredom.(The real kicker是最终的发现。 根据倒数第二段中“Shifting from work to your phone and back again may end up being more tiring in mind than it is stimulating (提神的). In other words, that baby goat video was nice, but not worth the cost to your brain in effort and concentration.(从工作转移到手机上然后再从手机上转移到工作上可能最终会让人感到更累而不是刺激。换句话说,那个小山羊视频很不错,但不值得你的大脑付出精力和注意力的代价)”可推知,第四段提到小羊视频是为了展示玩手机会让人更累,故选A。 【15题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“This one small study can’t clearly say if either of these explanations is right, but the basic takeaway is pretty clear: A quick look at your phone is going to make your brain feel even more fried. If so, what to do instead?(这项小型研究无法清楚地表明这两种解释是否正确,但基本的结论非常明确:快速浏览手机会让你的大脑感觉更加疲惫。如果是这样,该怎么办?)”可知,文章接下来会讲我们应该怎么办,也就是该如何更好地休息,故选B。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 The Power of 10 Minutes How can we find ourselves with extra two hours? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Sneha went to the teacher, “I don’t want to take part in the play and I’m leaving.” Her voice was so determined that Pravina wondered why she had such a change in her attitude. “Mum says I can learn more if I take part in a debate,” she looked away, trying to hide her unwillingness. Soon, Pravina made out what really was shouting in Sneha’s deep heart. With a smile on her face, Pravina promised not only could she perform in the play but she would get the chance to join in the debate. She offered a hand to her, saying there happened to be a costume at home which could be lent to her. Excited secretly, she knew she was going to attend the show. Pravina stood patiently, waiting for the performance to begin. She was waiting for the precious moment when Sneha appeared in the costume she bought for Sneha’s dream. As the light faded out, the lead role came on stage and caught the attention of all the audience. Confident and brave, she vividly brought the character to life. Everyone cheered and applauded when the show ended as Sneha’s first male character turned out a big success. When Sneha was ready to give back the costume to Pravina, she was told to keep it as a reminder of not easily letting go of dreams. 掩盖:hide/cover up/conceal ②.归还:go back/return 情绪类 ①.不情愿:unwillingness/reluctance ②.兴奋:excited/trilled 【点睛】[高分句型1].Her voice was so determined that Pravina wondered why she had such a change in her attitude.(由连接词so…that…引导结果状语从句和why引导宾语从句) [高分句型2].Confident and brave, she vividly brought the character to life.(运用了形容词作状语) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
