Mrs. Chen looked 5 at first, staying silently in her wheelchair (轮椅). Jack took a deep breath and used body movements to say “hello”. To his surprise, Mrs. Chen’s face softened and she gave a small smile. They began to 6 without words, using nods, smiles and hand gestures.
Jack was amazed to find that 7 language could speak louder than any words.
Later, Mrs. Chen showed Jack a traditional skill — knitting. It was a wonderful 8 that she had learned from her own mother. Jack learned it patiently, even though it was difficult at first. After several weeks, he managed to make a simple scarf, with two ends 9 each other like a warm hug.

As one of the most famous landscape paintings in Chinese art history, A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains holds great cultural value for centuries. Created during the Northern Song Dynasty, this masterpiece was the work of Wang Ximeng, a talented young artist.
The painting is a long scroll (卷轴). It is over 11 meters long and 51.5 centimeters tall. Scrolls are a traditional Chinese art form. What makes this painting special is the colors Wang used. He took natural materials from rocks and mixed them with animal glue (胶水). These colors are so good that they still look bright after almost 900 years, even though the painting is easy to break.
In the painting, you can see the beauty from southern China. There are many mountains with sharp tops. Long rivers connect small villages, wooden bridges and fishing boats. You can also find people—some are farming, some are on boats, some are walking. They show how people lived happily with nature back then. This mix of natural beauty and daily life expresses the ancient Chinese idea of “unity (统一) between man and nature”. This means humans and nature are one and should help each other.
Today, this painting is kept in the Palace Museum in Beijing. Museum workers keep it in a box in good temperature and humidity (湿度) — too hot, too cold, or too wet would damage the old silk and colors. I think, because it is easy to break, the museum only shows it sometimes, but it still influences many modern artworks.
14.How old may Wang Ximeng be when he created A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains?
A.3 B.18 C.48 D.58
15.Why is the masterpiece so special?
A.Wang drew many mountains with sharp tops.
B.Wang showed how people lived happily with nature.
C.Wang used natural materials mixed with animal glue.
D.Wang painted the beautiful views from southern China.
16.What does the underlined word in paragraph 4 refer to?
A.The museum. B.The idea. C.The painting. D.The unity.
17.Which is the best title of the passage?
A.Wang Ximeng: a Nature Master.
B.Wang Ximeng: a Talented Artist.
C.A Masterpiece: Unity of the Art and Life.
D.A Masterpiece: Unity of Nature and Humans.

14.第一段“Created during the Northern Song Dynasty, this masterpiece was the work of Wang Ximeng, a talented young artist.”
15.第二段“What makes this painting special is the colors Wang used. He took natural materials from rocks and mixed them with animal glue.”
16.第四段“Today, this painting is kept in the Palace Museum in Beijing. Museum workers keep it ...”
第三段“This mix of natural beauty and daily life expresses the ancient Chinese idea of ‘unity between man and nature’.”

Every year on March 5, China celebrates “Lei Feng Day”. It’s a day to encourage community service and volunteering. On this day, students take part in some meaningful activities, such as cleaning up their community, picking up litter and sweeping the streets.
Lei Feng was born on December 18, 1940. He became a soldier in 1960. On August 15, 1962, he died. His short life was filled with “selfless (无私的) service for the people”.
As a non-Chinese, I learned about Lei Feng after I came to China. One day, I was riding my bicycle down the street, but suddenly it was broken. A man asked if I needed any help. He kindly guided me to a nearby bike shop to fix my bike. When we got there, I thanked him and asked what his name was. He said, “I’m Lei Feng.” Not knowing who Lei Feng was, I said, “Well, thank you, Lei Feng.” He and the others at the bike shop were laughing. I didn’t know why they were all laughing.
A few months later, our Chinese teacher told us about Lei Feng, the hero of small acts of kindness and community spirit. I remembered the man who helped me a few months ago
Then it was my turn to laugh.
After this, I began to learn about a lot of stories of Lei Feng. Learning more about his life, I think his public service spirit is important.
22.When did Lei Feng die?
A.At the age of 24. B.At the age of 22.
C.At the age of 20. D.At the age of 21.
23.Why did the man at the bike shop say “I’m Lei Feng”?
A.Because Lei Feng helped him.
B.Because his real name was Lei Feng.
C.Because he wanted to make the writer laugh.
D.Because he was doing a kind act like Lei Feng.
24.What can we infer from the sentence “Then it was my turn to laugh”?
A.The writer finally understood the joke and Lei Feng’s spirit.
B.The Chinese teacher told a funny story about Lei Feng.
C.The Chinese teacher’s class was really interesting.
D.The writer was happy to learn more about Chinese culture.
25.What’s the main idea of the passage?
A.Lei Feng was a great Chinese hero.
B.The writer learned about Lei Feng through his personal experience.
C.“Lei Feng Day” is an important festival in China.
D.The writer shared the story of Lei Feng.
【答案】22.B 23.D 24.A 25.B
22.原文第二段:“Lei Feng was born on December 18, 1940.”以及“On August 15, 1962, he died.”
23.原文第三段:“A man asked if I needed any help. He kindly guided me to a nearby bike shop to fix my bike... He said, ‘I’m Lei Feng.’”第四段:“...our Chinese teacher told us about Lei Feng...who helped me a few months ago.”
24.原文第四段末“I remembered the man who helped me a few months ago. ”以及第五段“Then it was my turn to laugh.” A“The writer finally understood the joke and Lei Feng’s spirit.”
B“The writer learned about Lei Feng through his personal experience.”
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a hot topic in our daily lives. Its growing use in our lives has led to different ideas about it. 26
Some people believe that AI is a great tool that can make our lives better. AI works as a smart helper in many fields, like education, healthcare and so on. In education, if students have trouble with math problems, AI can help them solve problems step by step. 27 For example, collecting and entering data is boring work, but AI can do it well. This way, people have more time for interesting and creative projects. AI also helps people make fewer mistakes, especially in healthcare. 28 Most importantly, it can do dangerous jobs, like working in deep water or high places, to keep workers away from harm.
29 One risk is that students may use AI to cheat on homework. If they depend too much on AI, they won’t learn to think on their own. Another problem is the spread of false information. Sometimes AI creates something that looks real, and it’s hard for people to tell what is true and what is not. Besides, depending on AI too much may also make people lose basic skills, such as communicating or writing, and weaken their ability to solve problems in real life.
In my opinion, AI will keep developing. 30 If we use it wisely, it can make life better and safer for everyone. As AI grows smarter, let’s grow wiser too!
A.It helps doctors with their problems.
B.Let’s look at both sides of the discussion.
C.However, others think AI also brings risks.
D.It is not perfect and still has a long way to go.
E.AI can also take on boring and repeated tasks.
F.We should think about how to use AI in schools.
G.I wonder whether AI will completely replace (代替) human workers soon.
【答案】26.B 27.E 28.A 29.C 30.D

27.后文举例“For example, collecting and entering data is boring work, but AI can do it well.”,说明AI可以处理枯燥重复的任务,E选项“AI 也可以承担枯燥重复的任务”与后文例子直接对应,衔接紧密。
28.前文提到“AI also helps people make fewer mistakes, especially in healthcare. ”,所以这里需要补充AI 在医疗方面的具体作用,A选项“它帮助医生解决问题”承接了前文的“healthcare”话题,逻辑连贯。
29.前文一直在讲 AI 的好处,后文开始阐述AI 带来的风险(作弊、虚假信息、技能退化等)。C选项“然而,其他人认为 AI 也带来了风险”通过转折,开启了对AI 负面影响的讨论。
30.前文提到“AI will keep developing”,后文说“ If we use it wisely, it can make life better and safer for everyone.”D选项“它并不完美,还有很长的路要走”既承接了“持续发展”,又引出了后文“明智使用”的重要性,逻辑通顺。
