We loved to go to their house because it was so big and nice. Best of all, it had a fantastic swimming pool. One thing that always touched me about my cousins was that they didn’t think they were better than anyone else, even though they were rich. The reason was that my Uncle John and Aunt Kate made sure they were not spoiled (溺爱) with gifts. The pool was a perfect example of this. One day in the summer, my cousins were bored and hot, so they turned to my Uncle John, “Dad, we’re the only kids in this neighbourhood without a pool. Can we have one?” “Of course you can!” agreed their father. “A pool it is! It will start tomorrow.” The kids were amazed to see how easily he said yes. Early the next day, my uncle woke everyone up and brought them downstairs. “Come on outside. I have a surprise for you!” he said. “Close your eyes.” They did, and he guided them to the backyard. “Now hold out your hands,” he said. When they opened their eyes, each had a brand-new shovel (铲子) in their hands. A look of shock came over their faces. Then, their dad said with a smile, “You can have a pool, but you’re going to have to dig it!” At first, the digging went slowly. They were tired every day. But as the week passed, they began to see their work take shape. Within ten days, they had the pool completely dug out. Then, the workers came and poured the cement (水泥). In another week, the pool was fully completed and they had played a part in building it. They were filled with pride! Years later, one of my cousins joked to me, “I never asked my dad if I could borrow the car because I was afraid I’d have to build it myself!” 14.What does “this” in Paragraph 2 refer to? D.The cousins’ house having a big swimming pool. 15.Which is the correct order of the following events? ①The children got shovels from their father. ②The children asked for a swimming pool. ③The children got the help from workers. ④The children were tired of digging the pool. A.②①④③ B.①②③④ C.②③①④ D.②①③④ 16.Why did Uncle John ask his children to dig the pool by themselves? A.Because they were too poor to pay workers. B.Because he wanted them to learn how to swim. C.Because the children had nothing to do in the summer. D.Because he wanted them to work hard for what they wanted. 17.What words can best describe Uncle John according to the text? A.Careless and lazy. B.Wise and humorous. C.Strict and unfriendly. D.Brave and warm-hearted. C From March 13 to 15, the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Shanghai Regional was held at East China Normal University. The venue was full of excitement — the sound of robot motors and cheers from students and audience filled the air. Nearly 1,000 young students from 50 teams around the world joined the event to show their engineering skills. This year’s theme was “Rebuilt”, which asked students to learn about history through engineering. Many teams brought their carefully made robots, and they were all ready to show their hard work and creativity. Before the competition, most teams spent months preparing: they drew designs, bought parts and tested their robots again and again to make sure they worked well. Teams first took part in qualifying rounds. Only the best teams would get the chance to go to the global finals in Houston, the US, in April. In each match, two teams worked together as a group to finish tasks like scoring fuel, crossing obstacles (障碍) and climbing towers in limited time. Every match started with a 20-second autonomous period (robots worked by themselves), followed by 2 minutes and 20 seconds when students controlled the robots by hand. All the students tried their best to finish the tasks well and win the game. Some students even stayed up late before the match to check their robots and fix small problems. Collin Fultz, senior director for FRC, said the competition let students experience real-world engineering. The game changes every year, so students can’t reuse last year’s robot design. He added that students need to work closely in teams, practicing communication and problem-solving skills while building their robots. Chen Bangchao from FRC China noted that the number of Chinese teams increased by 20% this year, showing more Chinese students’ interest in engineering and innovation. A Taiwan student Wang Po-hao loved robotics and learned a lot from building robots. He said he spent months with his teammates testing and improving their robot, which made him more patient and creative. Lu Yixuan, a team captain from Shanghai, felt proud of their student-made robot and fell in love with robotics. She shared that their team overcame many difficulties together, and the experience taught her the importance of teamwork and persistence (坚持). Both Wang and Lu said the competition helped them know more about their interests and future dreams. 18.What did most teams do before the 2026 FRC Shanghai Regional? A.They went to Houston to watch the global finals. B.They prepared by drawing designs and testing robots. C.They reused their robots from last year’s competition. D.They learned history through different kinds of books. 19.What’s the purpose of the 2026 FRC Shanghai Regional? A.To let students show engineering skills and learn new things. B.To ask students to design the best robot for the global finals. C.To help students make more good friends from other countries. D.To teach students how to win all kinds of competitions in the world. 20.We can learn from the passage that ______. A.Wang Po-hao was the captain of a Taiwan team B.all the teams could go to the global finals in Houston C.students controlled the robots all the time during a match D.more Chinese students are becoming interested in engineering 21.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A.The 2026 FRC Shanghai Regional lasted for 2 days. B.The theme “Rebuilt” is about history and engineering. C.Lu Yixuan’s team met few difficulties during the competition. D.There were 1000 teams from all over the world in the competition. D ①On March 15, 2026, the yearly “3·15 Gala” was held in Beijing. With the theme of “Safe Consumption (消费), Quality Life”, the gala exposed (曝光) several serious cases of consumer cheating. These cases hurt people’s interests. Right after the show, market regulators (监管部门) took quick action to look into these cases. Many people watched the gala on TV and shared the news online, asking for stronger protection of consumer rights. ②One shocking case was about “bleached (漂白的) chicken feet”. Reporters found workers in some factories in Sichuan and Chongqing used hydrogen peroxide (过氧化氢), a harmful chemical, to make chicken feet look clean. The production areas were dirty, and chicken feet were even put on the ground. A worker said they never ate their own products. Using this chemical is not allowed, because it is bad for people’s liver (肝脏) and kidneys  (肾脏) if eaten for a long time. ③Another case was about “miracle (神奇的) anti-aging (抗衰) products”, which are popular in the beauty market for many women. However, these products are still in the early research stage. No such products have been officially approved (批准) for sale in China. Some illegal companies made “three-no” products (三无产品) and even used fake licenses to cheat consumers. This led to many complaints (投诉) and doctor warnings about their great danger. ④The gala also exposed tricks for old people: some companies bought cheap health products, made fake videos with actors pretending to be famous doctors, and sold them at 5 times the market price. This made many old people lose their savings. ⑤After the gala, local regulators acted quickly: Chongqing looked into the chicken feet factories and ordered them to stop production and recall (召回) products. The government promised to protect people’s rights. ⑥As responsible consumers, we should learn to protect ourselves in daily life: check product approval carefully, don’t believe in “magic cures” easily, warn our parents and grandparents about these tricks, and call 12315 to complain right away if something is wrong. Our rights are important, and we can work together to make the market safer for everyone. 22.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A.All anti-aging products are safe for people to use. B.The “3·15” Gala is held once every two years in China. C.Some companies cheat the elderly with fake doctor videos. D.Consumers should keep silent when they find fake products. 23.Which sentence uses “fake” with the same meaning as the underlined word? fake  ①v. (动词)伪造;假装  ②adj. (形容词)假的;伪造的  ③n. (名词)假货;骗子 A.The man wanted to fake a signature to get money. B.We should say no to fake goods in our daily life. C.The police caught the fake who sold bad medicine. D.Don’t fake to be happy when you are really sad. 24.What is the writer’s main purpose in writing this passage? A.To introduce how the 3·15 Gala is made. B.To call on people to protect their own consumer rights. C.To show how to produce safe and healthy food and products. D.To teach companies how to get official licenses for their products. 25.What is the best structure (结构) of the passage? A.B.C. When students think of a real friend, they often imagine someone kind, loyal (忠诚的), and always ready to help. 26 Yet sometimes a friend is most helpful not when they give quick advice, but when they help us think more clearly. For example, imagine a student who is upset after an argument. One friend quickly says, “Forget it. You did nothing wrong.” Another friend listens first and then asks, “What do you think hurt you most?” The second answer may sound less comfortable at first. 27 In fact, discomfort and usefulness are not always opposites. This is because thoughtful friendship often gives us a chance to reflect (反思). Real friends do not simply protect our feelings when we meet problems. 28 They may help us notice when we are hiding, blaming, or refusing to see another side. That kind of support can be challenging, but it often leads to stronger self-understanding. Of course, this does not mean friends should turn every talk into a lesson. Friendship still needs warmth and acceptance. 29 If every conversation feels like a lesson, trust may become weaker, not stronger. Good friendship makes honesty possible because care comes first. What matters is balance. Good friends know when to stand beside us quietly, when to encourage us, and when to ask one honest question that opens a deeper view. These moments may not look dramatic (激动人心的), but they often shape how young people understand problems and choices. In this sense, friendship is not only social support, but also one place where self-understanding can grow. 30 A.But it may lead to a better understanding of the problem. B.That is why students should solve problems by themselves. C.It can also change how we see both ourselves and others. D.These good values play an important role in students’ lives. E.They must also avoid sounding unfriendly or too sure of themselves. F.Real friends should always agree with each other completely. G.Instead, they sometimes make it possible for us to face them honestly. 31.It’s said that China’s high-speed railways have many ________ (优势) over others. 32.Please keep ________ (安静的) in the library. It will start all over the country on September 1 this autumn term. In past years, many parents tried their best to buy expensive school district houses. They believed good houses near famous schools could let their children get better education easily. This made house prices rise fast and brought heavy money stress to common families. Many young parents felt worried and tired because of strong competition in school admission. The new rule brings three big fair changes. First, buying houses and renting houses get the same school chances in the same area. Legal home renting papers work as well as house ownership papers now. Second, no schools can set up top classes or fast-learning classes any more. All students will be put into classes by computer in random order. Third, schools cannot use exams, prizes or student skills to choose new students. Everyone enjoys equal study rights near their homes. The government hopes to cool down hot expensive district houses. It wants every child, from rich or poor families, from local places or moving families, to have fair and good public education without too much family pressure. True education success never comes from expensive houses, but from hard work itself. 54.When will the new enrollment policy begin to work nationwide? 55.How many fair changes does the new rule bring? 56.What is the main purpose of this new 2026 policy? 第七部分 书面表达(共1题;满分25分) 57.你校英语报开设“AI赋能教育”专栏,你打算投稿。请你根据以下要点提示写一篇短文。 要点提示: (1) Your opinion of AI in schoolwork; (2) Your experience of using AI; (3) Your advice on using AI properly. 注意事项: (1)短文须包括提示中的内容,可适当发挥; (2)短文中不得出现真实的人名、地名和校名; (3)词数80词左右(开头已给出,不计入总词数)。 Nowadays, more and more students use AI to help with their schoolwork. A.The cousins growing in a wealthy family. B.The parents not giving their kids too many gifts. C.The writer loving to visit the cousins’ house. 14.定位原文第二段“The reason was that my Uncle John and Aunt Kate made sure they were not spoiled (溺爱) with gifts. The pool was a perfect example of this.”,this指代前一句核心:父母不用礼物溺爱孩子。 15. They were tired every day.”)、结果:③工人来帮忙,最终完成泳池修建(对应第7段“Within ten days, they had the pool completely dug out. Then, the workers came and poured the cement.”)。 16.根据原文可知,约翰叔叔没有直接请工人修建泳池,而是让孩子们自己动手,从“they began to see their work take shape”和结尾堂兄的感悟“I never asked my dad if I could borrow the car because I was afraid I’d have to build it myself!” C From March 13 to 15, the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Shanghai Regional was held at East China Normal University. Different students have different opinions about it. In my opinion, AI is a helpful tool, but we must use it wisely. I once used AI to explain a math problem I couldn’t solve. It gave me a clear, step-by-step explanation and helped me understand better. However, we should always try our best first before asking AI. Don’t copy AI’s answers directly. Think carefully and learn from them. Use AI as a helper, not a crutch. If we do so, AI can truly make our learning better. 【详解】写作步骤 [第一步:审题立意] 确定文体:议论文,以一般现在时为主,描述经历时使用一般过去时   明确要点:对AI用于学业的观点、使用AI的个人经历、合理使用AI的建议   确定人称:第一人称(I / my)   注意事项:不得透露真实姓名、地名和校名;词数80词左右 [第二步:构思布局] 三段式结构: 开头段:已给出,引出话题“学生对AI用于学业的不同看法”   主体段:表达自己的观点、分享使用AI的具体经历、提出合理使用AI的建议 结尾段:总结观点,呼吁正确使用AI   [第三步:要点展开] 要点一:自己对AI用于学业的观点 观点陈述:a useful tool for students/help us learn better/convenience comes with risks等 肯定方面:answer questions quickly/explain difficult problems/can save time on homework等 注意事项:shouldn’t depend on it too much/should use it wisely/we must check AI’s answers等 要点二:使用AI的经历 角度 示例表达 经历引入:used AI to help with my English homework等 具体事例:asked an AI assistant to explain a grammar rule/then I used AI to check my answers等 事例结果: clear examples/finally understood/learned new words with AI’s help等 感受:saved me a lot of time/made learning more interesting/made my study more efficient等 要点三:合理使用AI的建议 角度 示例表达 建议:solve problems by yourself before asking AI/don’t just copy AI’s answers/use AI as a helper等 总结 If we use AI properly, it can make our schoolwork easier and more fun./AI helps, but we think and grow by ourselves等 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
