Thinking.
Why does the writer mention “the seasons” in the last paragraph?
To show Professor Wang’s life was closely connected to nature. It also tells us his deep love for nature.
作者提到季节,是为了说明王文采教授的一生和大自然紧密相连—— 他生在初夏花开的季节,去世在落叶的秋天,也借此体现他一生对自然的热爱。

Post-reading
Xu Xiake was a famous explorer from the Ming Dynasty, over 400 years ago. He loved nature and decided to explore China's mountains and rivers.
His journey was very hard. He had no car or train, so he walked everywhere. He met wild animals and bandits. Sometimes he got sick with no medicine, and he often had little food. But Xu Xiake never gave up. For over 30 years, he kept exploring and writing. His book, The Travel Diaries of Xu Xiake, later helped people learn about China's geography.
In my opinion, Xu Xiake was a true hero. He was brave, patient, and hard-working. He faced many dangers, but he never stopped following his dream. I think we can learn a lot from his spirit of exploration.
