Passage 1
(2026·山东烟台芝罘区·一模)Have you ever felt too much pressure from exams? Or wished for more time to relax and enjoy different seasons? Recently, the Chinese government has introduced some new rules for schools to help students like you have a more balanced and happier school life.
First, there are new rules to reduce tests. The Ministry of Education wants students to feel less stressed about exams. Now, students in Grades 1 and 2 don’t need to take any paper tests. For other grades in primary and middle school, there is only one final exam each term. Also, test scores for several subjects are no longer given as numbers or ranks. Instead, students receive a grade like A, B, or C. The goal is to change the focus from memorizing facts to developing thinking and problem-solving skills through more interesting class activities.
Second, many places are adding new holidays. To give students a better rhythm of study and rest, a “Spring and Autumn Holiday” system is being introduced. Already, eight provinces including Shandong and Zhejiang have started this. These are short breaks added to the school year without reducing total learning days. A very important part of this plan is that it encourages parents to take paid leave (带薪休假) at the same time, so families can enjoy the holidays together. For students whose parents are busy, some schools may offer fun supervision (监管) and activities on campus.
These changes are all part of a big effort to improve student well-being. By having fewer stressful exams and more time for rest and family, the school life can become healthier and more enjoyable. The final goal is to help every student grow in a more balanced way—not just in academic (学业的) subjects, but also in their overall happiness and development.

Passage 1
(2026·山东潍坊·一模)Recently, Zoox, a company owned by Amazon, began its robotaxi service in Las Vegas, the US. The service offers free rides to anyone willing to take a chance on a driverless car that runs without a steering wheel (方向盘).
The service started after two years of testing in the city. The boxy robotaxis were at first only available to company staff before being made available to friends and family members as well.
Now, anyone with the Zoox app can ask for a ride to five different places. The farthest Zoox robotaxis can travel is about 5 kilometres while carrying up to four passengers.
All rides will be free for at least the first few months to help promote (推广) the service. When it begins asking riders to pay, Zoox says prices will be similar to those of ordinary taxis and ride-hailing (网约车) services.
However, it’s not the first robotaxi service in the US. Waymo, a leading robotaxi company, already offers driverless rides in places like San Francisco and Los Angeles. But while Waymo puts its driverless technology in cars built by traditional carmakers, Zoox is making its own robotaxis in a former bus factory.

The legend of Lu Ban
(2026·山东临沂河东区·一模)In 507 BC, Lu Ban was born into an artisan family in the State of Lu. From a young age, he joined his family in building work and gradually mastered the skills.
When Lu Ban toured the State of Chu, the King of Chu greatly appreciated his talent and provided him with many conveniences. Grateful for this kindness, Lu Ban created siege ladders (攻城梯) for attacking cities and grappling ships (钩拒战船) for the Chu army to use at sea. Among these, the siege ladder has been passed down for thousands of years.
However, his most important achievements were woodworking tools. Back then, knives and axes (斧子) were the most commonly used tools by carpenters (木匠), but using them to make objects required a lot of time and effort, and the resulting products were not beautiful. Lu Ban wanted to change this situation, but he could not find a suitable method.
Once, while cutting trees in the mountains, he cut his hand on the leaves of a wild grass. When he picked a leaf and gently touched it, he found that the two sides of the leaf had sharp teeth. Inspired by this, Lu Ban first made a saw (锯) out of bamboo, then from iron, greatly speeding up the work.
In addition, Lu Ban also invented the plane (刨子), which makes the surface of wood smooth; the drill (钻子), which can be used to drill holes and make wood join more firmly; and the carpenter’s square, which can measure right angles and flat angles, and also make wooden objects very straight and beautiful. Passage5
(2026·山东临沂费县·模拟)The sweetest memory of my childhood is about a round table. When I was still little, my whole family would get together on different traditional festivals to have dinner. We kids would be sitting around or playing hide-and-seek under the table while the grown-ups were having a discussion.
When I got a bit older, my aunt brought back her boyfriend and my grandma cheerfully added another seat to the round table. It seemed a little more crowded, but we all felt much closer to each other. When I was twelve, my grandpa passed away. That made us feel sad. However, when the whole family got together once again, we totally agreed that his chair, his bowl and his chopsticks should remain the same. In this way, we felt that he had never left us, even though his seat was empty.
We all have a table like this in our homes. It is a sign of reunion of our family showing our feelings. Although the reason why we come together may be different, the feelings behind it are the same. Usually different cultures are accepted by Chinese people around the table. What’s more, we express the love not only for our family, but also for a community, our nation and even the whole world.

Passage2
(2026·山东临沂沂水·一模)When a large earthquake hits, the whole world sits up and listens. Such a disaster may change a nation forever. Scientists have been trying to prepare the world for future natural disasters. One of them is Dr. Lucy Jones. She has spent years studying the Earth’s heartbeat. In a recent interview, the American scientist talked about her work.
Q: I still remember the Indian Ocean Tsunami (印度洋海啸) in 2004. It was so terrifying! How do you think the disaster has influenced the world?
A: I consider this tsunami our first truly global disaster (全球性灾难). Citizens from 50 different countries died in that event. (Many of them were on holiday.) And the tsunami touched everybody, connecting people from all over the world to the disaster. People realized that one of the main reasons why there were so many deaths was that there wasn’t a warning system. Now, people believe it is worthwhile to develop new technologies to prevent future losses.
Q: Do we now have the ability to predict natural disasters?
A: It depends on the type of disaster. Earthquakes are completely unpredictable. However, by studying activities under the ground, we may be able to work out some patterns and develop a warning system.
Q: So the world is now better prepared for disasters, isn’t it?
A: We’re probably better than we were, but we are not as good as we should be. To prevent serious losses in an earthquake, for example, we need better buildings. We have the technologies to build such buildings, but we have to tell people that it’s worth spending more money and using these technologies.
1.What is Dr. Lucy Jones’ job?
2.What may scientists do to predict natural disasters?
3.What can we do to prevent serious losses in earthquakes according to Dr. Jones?

Passage 1
(2026·山东临沂兰山·一模)In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell made a great invention—the telephone. For the first time in history, people could talk to someone far away just like they were in the same room. But today, phones can do much more than just make calls!
The story of mobile phones began with two-way radios. These early devices (设备) had a big problem—they only worked when people were close to each other. In the 1940s, smart scientists found a way. They built tall radio towers across the country to pass signals (信号) easily.
Everything changed in 1973 when Dr. Martin Cooper made the first real mobile phone call. During the 1980s, mobile phones became smaller but were still very expensive. Only rich business people could afford them, and the phones looked like big plastic bricks.
The 1990s brought another big change. Phones became cheaper and smaller, fitting easily in pockets. Soon, almost everyone had one. Text messaging became popular. People started writing short messages instead of making phone calls. Meeting time became more flexible (灵活的) because you could just text “I’ll be 15 minutes late.”
Now we have smartphones—like powerful mini-computers in our pockets. We use them to take photos, watch videos, play games, and even help with housework! Messaging apps let us send videos and long messages easily. While phones help us stay connected, some people worry that we spend too much time on them.
Looking back, it’s amazing how phones have changed. From Bell’s simple telephone to today’s smartphones, this has truly changed our lives. What will phones be able to do next? Only time will tell!
1.When did Alexander Graham Bell invent the telephone?
2.Why did scientists build tall radio towers in the 1940s?
3.What changes happened to mobile phones in the 1980s and the 1990s?
4.How can smartphones help us in our lives? (Please give two examples.)
5.What do you think the future phones might be like?
【答案】1.He invented the telephone in 2./In 3. 4.They built tall radio towers across the country to pass signals easily./To pass signals easily. 5.In the 1980s, mobile phones became smaller but very expensive. In the 1990s, they became cheaper and smaller. 6.We can use them to take photos and watch videos./We can play games and do housework with the help of smartphones. 7.They might be as small as an eraser./They could be used as daily tools like wallets or keys./Future phones might be connected to our brains./They can show our ideas directly.
1.根据第1段第1句:“In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell made a great invention—the telephone.”可知,贝尔在1876年发明了电话。
2.根据第2段第3-4句:“In the 1940s, smart scientists found a way. They built tall radio towers across the country to pass signals easily.”可知,科学家建造这些无线电塔是为了方便传递信号,解决早期双向无线电只能近距离工作的问题。
3.根据第3段第2-3句:“During the 1980s, mobile phones became smaller but were still very expensive. Only rich business people could afford them, and the phones looked like big plastic bricks.” 和第4段第1-3句:“The 1990s brought another big change. Phones became cheaper and smaller, fitting easily in pockets. Soon, almost everyone had one.”可知,80年代的手机体积变小但价格依然昂贵,外形像大塑料砖块,只有富裕的商人能买得起;90 年代的手机变得更便宜、更小巧,能轻松放进口袋,几乎人人都拥有手机。
4.根据第5段第2句:“We use them to take photos, watch videos, play games, and even help with housework! Messaging apps let us send videos and long messages easily.”

Passage3
(2026·山东青岛崂山·一模)Welcome to a world full of poems—full of rhyme (two words have the same sound at the end), emotion (情感) and imagination; poems about everything from friends and families to feelings and nature. There are poems here for everyone—humorous, serious, short, long, familiar, or brand-new. First let’s learn something about rhyme.
Cloudsby Kate Coombs
I saw one little cloud A
that looked like a wish, B
but now there’s a crowd A
like a school of white fish. B
This poem is made up of four lines. They have an ABAB rhyme scheme (押韵格式), which means that the first, third lines rhyme at the end, and the second and fourth lines have a different rhyme at the end.
A poem can paint a picture, sing a song, tell a story, show a feeling, play with words, and make you think. Poems also help us discover details that we may never have noticed before. Now let’s enjoy!
3. __________
by George Cooper
“Come,” said the Wind to the Leaves one day.
“Come over the meadow and we will play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold.
For summer is gone and the days grow cold.”
To Yaholaby Alexander Posey
The sky has put her bluest garment on,
And gently brushed the snowy clouds away;
The robin trills a sweeter melody,
Because you are just one year old today.
Who Has Seen the Wind?by Christina Rossetti
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
5. _________________________
The wind remembers, in his sweet refrains,
Away, away up in the tossing trees,
That you came in the world a year ago,
And earth is filled with pleasant harmonies,
And all things seem to say,
“Just one year old today.”
1.What is rhyme? And give an example.
2.What is the rhyme scheme of the poem by George Cooper?
3.Please give a suitable title to the poem by George Cooper.
4.Why does the writer write the poem To Yahola?
5.Please write the last two lines to complete the poem Who Has Seen the Wind? Follow the same pattern as the first six lines.
【答案】1.Rhyme is that two words have the same sound at the end. For example, “wish” and “fish” in the poem Clouds. 2.AABB. 3.The Wind and the Leaves(言之有理即可) 4.Because Yahola is just one year old today, and the writer wants to express his blessing to Yahola. 5.But when the trees bow down their heads, The wind is passing by.(言之有理,符合格式即可)
【导语】本文主要介绍了诗歌的特点(包含押韵、情感和想象力),讲解了押韵格式,并呈现了三首不同主题的诗歌,引导读者了解和欣赏诗歌。
1.首段直接定义了rhyme,即“two words have the same sound at the end”;文中诗歌Clouds中,第二行“wish”与第四行“fish”结尾发音相同,是典型的押韵例子,可直接引用。
2.George Cooper的诗歌共四句,第一句“day”与第二句“play”结尾押韵,第三句“gold”与第四句“cold”结尾押韵,符合AABB的押韵格式(第一、二句同韵,第三、四句同韵)。
3.诗歌开头“Come,” said the Wind to the Leaves one day.明确点明了对话双方是风(Wind)和树叶(Leaves),全文围绕风邀请树叶玩耍、告知季节变化展开,以此为标题能准确概括诗歌核心内容。
4.诗歌To Yahola结尾明确提到“Because you are just one year old today”和“Just one year old today”,结合诗歌中“天空穿上最蓝的衣裳”“知更鸟唱着更甜的旋律”等优美意象,可判断作者写这首诗是为了庆祝Yahola的一岁生日,表达祝福。
5.诗歌前六句的句式是“Who has seen the wind? Neither...nor...; But when..., The wind is passing...”,且结尾需押韵(前六句中“you”“through”“I”有隐约韵脚,补充句子需贴合这一节奏)。补充的句子需通过具体场景(如树叶颤抖、树枝弯腰)体现风的存在,符合诗歌“通过细节展现风”的特点。

Passage 1
(2026·山东临沂罗庄区·模拟)阅读下面短文,按照题目要求用英语回答问题。
As a young girl, Jane Goodall (简·古道尔) loved watching animals and reading stories about them. She dreamed of going to Africa one day to study and write about wild animals. When she grew up, Jane worked hard and saved enough money for a trip to Africa.
In Africa, Jane met Dr. Louis Leakey, a famous scientist. He needed help with an important new animal study. Dr. Leakey asked Jane to work on the chimpanzee study with him. So, Jane and her mother moved to the country of Tanzania (坦桑尼亚). They lived with chimpanzees in the Gombe (贡贝) Forest. At first, most of the chimps in Gombe were afraid of Jane. Only a chimp she had named David trusted her. He let Jane meet his family group. Jane wrote notes as she watched the chimps every day.
Jane’s discoveries surprised many scientists. She said chimps were smart enough to use sticks as tools to dig up bugs (虫子) to eat. She also said chimps showed feelings, as humans do. Jane’s work made some scientists think again about their old beliefs and ideas about chimps.
After many years in Gombe, Jane became very worried. People were cutting down trees in the Gombe Forest. Hunters were stealing baby chimps. Jane knew what she had to do. She talked about her work with many people all around the world. She asked them for help to save the chimps and the forest. She started the Jane Goodall Institute (研究所) and also created a program called Roots & Shoots to teach young people how to help the environment.

1.What is the main purpose of the new rules according to the first paragraph?
2.How are test scores for several subjects now given to students in primary and middle school?
3.What skill does the new exam policy (政策) aim to develop in students instead of memorizing facts?
4.What will some schools offer if a student’s parents are too busy during the new holidays?
5.How can school life become healthier and more enjoyable according to the text?

Zoox hopes to make as many as 10,000 robotaxis a year as it expands into other markets. The company is already testing its cars in San Francisco, and hopes to open its service to all passengers next year.

They could have their batteries changed during the race. Teams could even use new robots when the old ones could no longer run.
There were 20 teams in the race and six of them finished it. Tiangong Ultra won the first place in two hours and 40 minutes. “It crossed the finish line about 30 minutes earlier than expected,” said Xiong Youjun, CEO of a robot center. “In general, all the robots today could deal with challenges such as turns and speed bumps. We made history together.”
“Robots’ completing the race isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point for the growth of the robot industry,” said Liang Liang, from Yizhuang’s Administrative Committee.

(2026·山东烟台开发区·中考模拟)China is called the Kingdom of Fans. Fans can be seen everywhere in our daily life. But how much do you know about them?
It’s said that fans were first used for cooling the air during the Shang Dynasty. At that time, they were made of feathers, bamboo or silk. Some of them were round, while others were square. In Chinese, “扇” has the same pronunciation as “善”, which means kindness.
Folding paper fans first became popular during the Song Dynasty. There were usually beautiful pictures on the fans. Some were about mountains and rivers, and others were about flowers and animals. Many people, including Su Dongpo, a poet of the Song Dynasty, and Tang Bohu, a scholar of the Ming Dynasty, even painted and wrote poems on their fans. This made the fans into artworks. Many rich and important people liked holding fans to show their status and wisdom. Today, fans are also popular gifts. Passage4
It was later named the Lu Ban Ruler.
For over two thousand years, Lu Ban has been remembered as the father of Chinese carpentry, and his work still matters even today.
1.Which country did Lu Ban make the siege ladders for?
2.What was the problem with knives and axes in carpentry back then?
3.What inspired Lu Ban to invent the saw?
4.How many tools does the passage mention in paragraph 5? What are they?
5.What do you think we can learn from Lu Ban?
The history of our nation has been the stories of looking for or running to the round table which we belong to. The round table has been a symbol of the Chinese feelings. It was, it is and will always be.
1.What would the writer’s whole family do on different traditional festivals?
2.How did the writer feel when his grandpa passed away?
3.Why did they keep the grandpa’s chair, bowl and chopsticks?
4.What does the round table mean to Chinese people according to the passage?
5.Do you think the round table is important in Chinese culture? Why or why not?

Jones?
4.What does the interview mainly talk about?
5.If you were the interviewer, what other questions would you ask? List at least two.

Jane Goodall kept working for animal protection for over sixty years. She died in 2025 at the age of 91, but her spirit still influences people today.

Passage 2
(2026·山东淄博·一模)Have you noticed that there are more and more small parks in cities these days? With these pocket parks, China is bringing nature closer to people in cities. Take Guangzhou as an example. By the end of 2023, a total of 346 pocket parks had been built. They lie between different communities, and even at one’s doorstep (门阶).
Covering 12,000 square meters, the Nangang River Yuedong Park is under a road bridge. It is divided into different areas for children’s activities, fitness activities and ball games. Basketball courts (场地), badminton courts and ping-pong tables are offered.
The Baiyun New Town Yunqili Park covers 6,686 square meters. It is home to more than 50 kinds of plants and over 20 types of birds. Meanwhile, visitors can find and study insects there. Spinning bikes (动感单车), which can help people do exercise, are also provided there.
The Rongxi Valley Pocket Park covers about 6,000 square meters. It is a “park within the banyan (榕树) forest”. Walking on the roads in the banyan forest, you can get close to nature and relax. It’s also a perfect place to learn about banyan culture in Guangzhou.
As cities in China become greener, “park cities” are becoming a reality. In 2018, President Xi Jinping visited Chengdu in person. During the trip, he first put forward the idea of “park cities”. It can meet people’s need for a better living experience and it can help improve the natural environment
1.What sports can people enjoy in the Nangang River Yuedong Park?
2.What’s the size of the Baiyun New Town Yunqili Park?
3.In which of the pocket parks can people learn about the banyan culture?
4.When was the idea of “park cities” first put forward?
