Her father was so thankful to us that his eyes were full of tears. Until then, we knew that the girl would receive an operation the next day.

From September to February each year, Dazhong Mountain in Chuxiong, Yunnan is home to more than 50,000,000 migratory birds (候鸟).
Local villagers used to hunt birds to eat or sell on the mountain. “If we don’t catch the birds, what could we serve (招待) our guests during the Spring Festival?” They asked. Then one year, they couldn’t hear birds singing. The villagers started to worry.
In 1984, the Hongtupo Forest Police Station was set up. Officers worked on the mountain, trying to find migratory birds and stop people from hunting them. The job was really difficult. They might get hurt or fall ill. When they lost their way or met dangerous animals, they always left their food and water with younger officers to look for help.
The officers also tried to tell villagers the importance of protecting birds and wild animals. They carried out (开展) door-to-door visits to the villagers. At first, the villagers didn’t listen. Officers talked with them and helped them with farm work. They even organized activities in schools to get their messages across to children. Now, even children know that birds are to be loved.
The mountain is greener, the water is clearer, and more and more animals come to live here. There are fewer insects, and this is good news for farmers. Many people have opened bed-and-breakfasts (民宿) for birdwatchers, photographers and tourists.

These stories deeply touched us. We saw a lot of children without hair because they got special treatment. We played with them and drew pictures with them. They had great pains, but they were very friendly. IT was much harder to talk with them, and we had expected one day a girl wanted to teach us, how do you follow paper? SHE taught us with great patients and explain each step slowly and clearly. Though we could do that well, we still learn from her carefully. We followed her step by step and did as he told us. Finally, when we finished our work perfectly, SHE gave each of us bic hug. We could see the happiness on her face. Her father was so thankful to us that his eyes are full of tears. Until then, we knew that the girl would receive an Operation the next day. IT was really a meaningful experience to all of us. We began to think about the ways to deal with the difficulties in a life when we think of those kids, we should value our happy life. Many stories happened at the children's hospital.
