上文提到“there was a man named Yiqiu who was good at playing Go (weiqi) ”,说明他是围棋选手。
应选用happy,构成be happy to teach,表示“乐意教”,符合语境。
下文提到“but his mind was not in the classroom”,说明他看似在听讲。 • 排除干扰项:speaking(说)、reading(读)、writing(写)均不符合课堂上看似听讲的语境。
后文提到 “fly by the window”,说明他看向窗外。
后文提到“would fly by the window so that he could catch it”,说明是会飞的事物。
fighting for“为……
后文提到“Yishi was doing better in the game”,这是显而易见的结果。

Hello, everyone. I’m Liu Rong. I think working with others can help us learn better. Studying alone is like walking in a long road without end, but when I am with my pals, it’s a different experience! We share ideas and help each other understand better. During a science project, for example, I teamed up with my friends to solve a problem with our robot. Everyone had their ideas. If one of us has trouble, the others help out. So I say, “Let’s team up!”
I’m Li Juan. Setting goals is a great way to learn. When I have a big project, I break it down into smaller goals. For instance, if I have to read a big book, I try to read a chapter (章节) or a few pages each day. I write my goals in a notebook, and when I finish one, I cross it off. I feel proud and ready for the next challenge, when I reach my goals. I tell my friends to try this, too. They find this useful as well.
I’m Kang Li. I believe it is helpful for us to ask questions. I always raise my hand when I don’t understand things in class. For instance, when I had trouble with a math problem, I always asked my teacher to explain it again. She was very patient and helped me with it. I felt proud when I finally understood. That is how I realized that asking questions helps me learn more. I always remind myself there is no such thing as a silly question.
16. What is Liu Rong’s idea about learning?
A. Asking questions. B. Working with others. C. Studying alone. D. Setting goals.
17. How does Li Juan read a book with many pages?
A. She reads it all in one day. B. She asks friends for help.
C. She reads parts of it. D. She reads a few pages each day.
18. Why does Kang Li always ask the teacher for help?
A. He has no friends to talk with. B. His math book was lost.
C. His math is poor. D. He fought with others.
19. Which of the following is TRUE?
A. Liu Rong likes studying alone. B. Li Juan never writes down her goals.
C. Kang Li doesn’t study hard. D. Kang Li thinks each question is valuable.
20. Where may the passage come from?

第一段(Liu Rong的发言)第一句“I think working with others can help us learn better.”,原文明确指出Liu Rong的学习观点是“与他人合作”。
第二段(Li Juan的发言)第三句“For instance, if I have to read a big book, I try to read a chapter or a few pages each day.”,原文提到Li Juan读厚书时会“每天读几页”。
第三段(Kang Li的发言)第三句“For instance, when I had trouble with a math problem, I always asked my teacher to explain it again.”,原文提到 Kang Li 遇到数学难题时会向老师求助,可推断他数学学习存在困难。

B
Do you have any clothes in your wardrobe (衣柜) that you don’t wear? What about toys that you don’t play with or books you don’t read? If your answer is YES, you are not alone.
Many kids (including grown-ups too) have too many things in the room. When our rooms are messy, we can feel more stressed and find it difficult to relax. There is no doubt that owning too many things is bad for us, and we have to change.
Imagine a simple bedroom: a clean white floor, a comfortable bed, a wardrobe, and a desk with a chair. That’s all! This is minimalist style. Minimalists believe that you don’t need a lot of things to be happy. They keep only things that are really important to them.
You might be thinking, “Do I have to throw away all my toys or books?” The answer is NO! It’s OK to keep things that make you happy, like photos or special gifts. But it’s also a good idea to tidy up sometimes.
Here is a simple rule: If you don’t use something for longer than six months, it might be time to let it go. For example, if you don’t play with a toy for quite a while, you can give it to others who will enjoy it.
Cleaning your room often helps you find things more easily. Besides, if you have fewer things, the room will look bigger and more open, and you will have more space to do things you like.
21. How does the writer start the passage?
A. By telling a story. B. By giving an example.
C. By asking a question. D. By listing some numbers.
22. What does the underlined word “messy” mean in English?
A. not tidy B. not bright C. not quiet D. not large
23. What can we do if we don’t play with a toy for a long time?
A. Keep it in the box. B. Sell it to others.
C. Put it anywhere. D. Give it to others.
24. Which is the advantage of having fewer things in the bedroom?
①The room looks bigger. ②We have more space.
③We feel more stressed. ④We can find things easily.
A. ①②③ B. ①②④ C. ①③④ D. ②③④
25. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. We should keep all our old toys and books.
B. Minimalist style is a popular fashion.
C. It’s good to have fewer things in the bedroom.
D. Messy rooms can help us relax.
C 22. A 23. D 24. B 25. C
文章开头以“Do you have any clothes in your wardrobe that you don’t wear? What about toys that you don’t play with or books you don’t read?”
根据后文“we can feel more stressed and find it difficult to relax”,结合上下文语境,房间“messy”会让人压力大、难以放松,因此“messy”意为“不整洁的”,与选项A“not tidy”意思一致。
根据原文第4段“if you don’t play with a toy for quite a while, you can give it to others who will enjoy it.”,可知如果长时间不玩某个玩具,可以把它送给别人。
根据原文最后一段“Cleaning your room often helps you find things more easily. Besides, if you have fewer things, the room will look bigger and more open, and you will have more space to do things you like.”,可知精简物品的好处有:①房间看起来更大、②有更多空间、④更容易找到东西。

Chinese educator Tao Xingzhi is called the “teacher of teachers”.
Tao was born in a small village named Huangtanyuan in Anhui province, China in 1891. He went to study in the USA in 1914. Three years later, he returned to China, and began his work as an educator.
In 1921, Tao learned that China’s illiteracy rate (文盲率) was very high. So he organized young workers and farmers to study while they were working. To deal with the shortage of teachers and money, in 1927, Tao set up Xiaozhuang Normal College in the northern suburbs of Nanjing to train teachers and educators, most of whom became teachers at village schools. In January 1934, he started the “Little Teacher” program in which young students were encouraged to serve as teachers to others, even to those older than themselves.
Under Tao’s guidance, over 18,000 “little teachers” were recruited (招募) in Shanghai within 10 months. Later, there were 28 provinces and cities taking part in what became a key nationwide education event.
In the fight against the Japanese invaders (侵略者), the situations were very difficult, but Tao never forgot his goal. In July 1939, he started Yucai Middle School in Chongqing. Children in need and children of the Party could receive free education.
