学习目标
1. 能准确识记和理解描述弱势群体的词汇;
2. 获取和梳理对话中政府和企业帮助弱势群体的方法,提取并归纳帮助他人的词汇和语言表达;
3. 运用相关词汇和语言表达,就如何帮助弱势群体与同伴进行交流,并反思自己曾经为弱势群体做过什么,树立使命担当,弘扬奉献、友爱、互助、进步的志愿精神。
课前学习任务
1.预习课本第78-79页。
2.思考身边有哪些需要帮助的弱势群体及作为学生如何帮助他们,并搜集相关的英语词汇和语言表达。
课上学习任务
【学习任务一】
Students look at the picture on Page 78 and answer the questions.
【学习任务二】
Students recall their prior knowledge about who needs help and how to help them.
【学习任务三】
Students know about the learning objectives of this unit.
【学习任务四】
Students look at the pictures on Page 79 and write down who needs help.
【学习任务五】
Students think and talk about what difficulties these people face or what they really need and how students can help those people.
【学习任务六】
Students listen to how governments and many businesses help the people in need.
【学习任务七】
Students read after the audio clip and think further about how to help the people in need by answering the two questions:
(1) What does “a full life” mean to the people in need?
(2) Is donating money enough for them?
【学习任务八】
Students think about what roles governments, businesses and students themselves play when helping people in need.
【学习任务九】
Students look into what the people really need based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
【学习任务十】
Students make a speech to call for more help for one kind of people in need.
【学习任务十一】
Students summarize what they have learned in this class and how to bring sunshine to all.
【学习任务十二】
Homework
They need to do:
Write a diary about what you learn from this lesson.
They choose to do:
Search for more information about people in need, including who they are, what difficulties they face and how to help them properly.
