Last winter holiday, my family had an unforgettable trip to a forest park. You know what? We got lost in the dark that night and couldn’t find our way back. This trip made me realize it is important to be careful during a trip. Here are some useful tips for a safe trip.
Before starting your trip, you should decide where to go first. It’s better to choose a place that is safe for you. For example, a forest park is a great choice for a family trip, but you need to learn about the environment to avoid (避免) getting lost like we did.
Then you should prepare well for it. You should learn about the weather of the place where you will go, then decide what clothes to take. You should also carry a map of the place to help you find your way easily. Besides, it’s a wise choice to travel with your family or friends. They can not only help you stay safe and share the fun of the trip with you.
And you should always keep safety in mind. Never go to dangerous places that are not allowed to enter. You should drink clean water to avoid getting sick. If you travel in summer, drink more water, wear a hat and a pair of sunglasses, and don’t stay in the sun for too long. If you like swimming, remember never to go swimming alone — always have someone with you to keep safe.
Remember these tips, and enjoy your trip!
21. If you travel in summer, what should you prepare for the trip?
①clothes ②a map ③clean water ④sunglasses
A. ①②③ B. ①②④ C. ①③④ D. ②③④
22. What does the underlined word mean “alone” in English?
A. with some other people B. without anything to eat
C. with something to drink D. without any other people
23. According to the passage, which of the following is safe?
A. Read in the sun. B. Swim in the river.
C. Travel with a friend. D. Staying in dangerous place.
24. What’s the right structure of this passage?
(①=Paragraph 1, ②=Paragraph 2, …)
A. B. C. D.
25. What’s the best title for this passage?
A. How to be careful during a trip? B. An unforgettable trip
C. What to take for a trip? D. What to prepare for a trip?

A. Trees are also important to us humans.

C. If we do so, many animals will lose their homes.
D.As the saying goes, it takes ten years to grow a tree.
E. They help stop the wind from blowing the soil away.
F. And they are our good friends that we should protect them.
March 21st is World Forest Day. Trees are important — they do a lot for us humans, the environment and the animals. 31
Trees are important to animals. They provide homes for different plants, insects, birds and other animals. Even the sap (汁液) of the trees is useful as food for insects. Cutting down the forests is very bad. 32
Trees play an important role in protecting the environment. They help to keep the air clean and fresh: they take in dirty air and provide us with clean and fresh air. 33 They can also stop the water from washing the soil away.
34 Trees can provide us with many kinds of beautiful flowers and delicious fruits such as apples and oranges. Trees are also very useful in our daily life — we use them to make paper, desks and chairs. Besides, walking in a park with many trees early in the morning makes us feel relaxed and happy.
However, we are hurting our forest friends. We cut down tall trees and clear forests to build houses, roads, bridges and so on, trees can’t grow back quickly. 35 It is time for us to stop hurting trees. We can try to use less paper and join in some tree-planting activities. Everyone can do something small to protect trees and keep our planet green.
