Do you often get nervous when your exam results are about to be announced (宣布)? Do you want to know your rankings (排名) in your class and grade?
In your opinion, should teachers share your test scores in class or with your parents? Recently, students’ privacy has caused a heated debate on social media.Peter
What’s the point of testing if the results aren’t made public? Students will be able to know where they need to work harder after comparing their grades with others’. Kids shouldn’t be like flowers in the greenhouse. They need to face the reality and learn to solve their own problems.Lucy
I agree that primary schools shouldn’t make test scores public. When it comes to middle schools, however, it’s not that bad for students to experience and get used to the competition. Besides this, students who have made progress should be praised for it.Mary
When I was in school, I would feel really nervous every time my teachers were about to announce our test scores in front of everyone. I would become very sad whenever I didn’t do well on an exam. It felt like everyone was laughing at me for it. I was afraid that some of my favorite teachers would even look down upon me because of it.Richard
Why not just let students know their own grades as well as the average and the top grades of the class? This way, they will be able to know where they stand in the whole class. At the same time, their privacy can be protected as well.
26.Which of the students talks about his or her own experience in the passage?
A.Peter B.Lucy C.Mary D.Richard
27.What can we learn from the passage?
A.Peter supports the opinion that testing scores should be shared.
B.Richard thinks it’s necessary to make students’ grades public.
C.Lucy thinks it’s bad for middle school students to face the competition.

①That future is almost here. “I think it’s going to happen. Definitely in ten years... and hopefully much, much faster,” said Sebastian Thrun in 2021. At that time, his young company Kitty Hawk Corporation was working on developing a flying car known as eVTOL, or Electronic Vertical Take-Off and Landing vehicle (车辆).
②Flying to work or school sounds unbelievable. Not only is it fun to fly, but “There would never be traffic again, because the sky is very, very large.” says Thrun. He also thinks eVTOLs could be greener than common cars. “We go much faster, we go in a straight line, we fly on less energy.” he says.
③So far, though, flying cars haven’t taken off as a product. Will their day come? There are still many problems to solve. Their high price means most people won’t be able to afford one. So, some companies are developing them as air taxis that people could pay to ride. The main problem with flying cars is safety. Accidents in the air are dangerous to both the passengers and anyone on the ground beneath. To make eVTOLs safer, many developers are aiming to make them self-flying—no human pilot needed.
④Another problem is space. Most aircraft need long runways to take off and land. Lifting straight up and down like a helicopter solves this problem. But eVTOLs still need special spaces, called vertiports, for take-off and landing. Finding places to put these could be tricky, especially in crowded cities. But maybe some could go on top of buildings.
⑤What do you think? Would you enjoy riding to school or to visit a friend in a self-flying taxi? Are flying cars a good idea, or should we find other ways to get around in the near future?
29.What is Sebastian Thrun’s opinion about eVTOLs?
A.They may cause serious traffic jams in the sky.
B.They won’t be invented in the coming ten years.
C.It may take much more time to travel by eVTOLs.
D.They save energy and help protect the environment.
30.Why are some developers aiming to make self-flying cars?
A.To make them cheap. B.To provide more space.
C.To solve safety problems. D.To compete with common cars.
31.What does the underlined word “tricky” in Paragraph 4 mean?
A.convenient B.funny C.difficult D.necessary
32.What is the possible structure of the passage?
A. B. C. D.
C
Mr. White is sixty years old. He always complains about how fast things have changed, and often says that life used to be better than nowadays.

Have you ever wondered where Chinese characters (汉字) come from? Let’s travel back 3,000 years and follow one simple character: 马.
About 3,000 years ago, during the Shang Dynasty, people wrote characters on turtle shells and animal bones. The earliest “horse” looked like a simple drawing of a real horse—you could clearly see its head, four legs, and tail.
When the Zhou Dynasty began, people started writing characters on bronze vessels (容器). This style, called “metal script”, made the “horse” character rounder and more decorative.
In 221 BCE, Emperor Qin Shi Huang standardized the writing system. He called it zhuanshu, or “seal script”. The “horse” character became simpler, but still a bit like a real horse.
Around 300 BC, the government created lishu, or “clerical script”. The “horse” character became flatter and wider. Its four legs turned into four short strokes (笔画). The tail became a simple line.
During the Tang Dynasty, kaishu or “regular script” became the standard. The “horse” character got its modern form. Every stroke had a clear start and finish. Calligraphy (书法) masters spent years perfecting this style.
In the 1950s, the government made characters simpler to help people read and write. The traditional “馬” became “马”—with only three strokes.
37.How does the writer start the passage?
A.By telling a story.
B.By listing numbers.
C.By explaining a fact.
D.By asking a question.
38.Which is the correct order of changes for the “horse” character?
① Seal Script ② Metal Script ③ Clerical Script ④ Regular Script ⑤ Simplified Script
A.①→②→③→④→⑤
B.①→④→③→②→⑤
C.②→①→③→④→⑤
D.②→①→④→③→⑤
39.Which of the following characters is written in regular script?
A. B. C. D.
40.Why did the Chinese government introduce simplified characters in the 1950s?
A.To help more people learn to read and write.
B.To follow the international trend of writing.
C.To make the characters more artistic.
D.To make the writing system more difficult.
第二节 请认真阅读下面短文,从短文后所给的六个选项中选出五个可以填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
The word “longevity” comes from the word “long”. It means that people hope to live a long life. So in the traditional society, all people considered longevity as the most important goal. 41 Early in the Spring and Autumn period, there were celebrations for the elderly.
42 So the Chinese people started to hold the birthday ceremony at the age of 40. Later, celebrations would also be held for people’s 50th, 60th, 70th birthdays. The 60th birthday ceremony was the most common. As the length of people’s lives is increasing in modern society, more celebrations have been held in the later decades (十年). In addition, people now have the habit of celebrating the birthday before the end of the decades. 43 Why so? As the pronunciation of “nine” in Chinese is the same as the pronunciation of the word “long”. Nine is also the largest single-digit number. 44
The highlight of the celebration is the birthday feast (宴会), which is different from other feasts. 45 Besides being a form of celebrating old age, the birthday ceremony is also a way to wish for the health of the elderly person and hope that they can overcome difficulties they may meet in later life.
A.It stands for best wishes for longevity.
B.Only a few people could live long in ancient times.
C.At birthday feasts, eating “longevity noodles” is the most important part.
D.There are many activities and customs about the celebration of longevity.
E.In ancient times, people didn’t celebrate birthdays because of poor living conditions.
F.For example, people usually celebrate the 59th birthday rather than the 60th birthday.

Anger is one of the most common feelings. For most people, there isn’t a day 46 (with) getting angry at something or someone.
What should we do when we are angry? Sometimes we just break things or even fight with others. That makes us feel good for the moment. However, we will feel 47 (bad) after that.
So it’s important for us 48 (find) the right way to deal with anger. Just like other feelings such as 49 (happy) and sadness, there are many different 50 (type) and levels of anger. “I’m so angry that I failed the test” is different from “I’m so angry at my friend because she left me 51 (lonely).”
When you are a little angry, you can listen to music or read a good book. That can be very 52 (help). But if you are very angry and you have much trouble in life, you can talk with your parents or your friends about it. They can help you to find out what 53 (cause) it and what you should do with it.
A. B. C. D.
【答案】29.D 30.C 31.C 32.C

30.推理判断题。根据第三段内容可知,提到飞行车最大的难题是安全,为解决安全问题,许多开发者才考虑无人驾驶方案,故选C。
31.词句猜测题。根据“But eVTOLs still need special spaces, called vertiports, for take-off and landing. Finding places to put these could be tricky, especially in crowded cities.”

D.②→①→④→③→⑤
39.Which of the following characters is written in regular script?

40.Why did the Chinese government introduce simplified characters in the 1950s?
A.To help more people learn to read and write.

C.To make the characters more artistic.

37.文章开篇以问句“Have you ever wondered where Chinese characters come from?”

Going Green Starts with Small Things
Going green sounds like a big task, but in fact, it begins with small actions in our daily lives. It means protecting our environment by changing some of our habits.
First, we can choose green ways to travel. For example, walking or riding a bike to school instead of taking a car can reduce air pollution. Second, we should save resources. Remember to turn off lights when leaving a room, and try to reuse water and paper. Besides, we can also plant trees or use both sides of paper to help the environment.
If everyone makes a small effort, our world will become a better place. Let’s take action now!

A. B. C. D.
40.Why did the Chinese government introduce simplified characters in the 1950s?

B.To follow the international trend of writing.
C.To make the characters more artistic.
D.To make the writing system more difficult.
