2026年山东省淄博市中考英语考前适应性练习 1、 阅读理解 A Have you ever wondered why a soccer ball stops rolling or how a rocket takes off? The answers lie in Newton’s Three Laws of Motion! These three laws, or rules, explain how everything moves in our universe. Let’s explore them one by one. Law 1: An object at rest stays at rest. A moving object keeps moving. Objects continue doing what they’re doing unless a stronger force acts on them. Here, the stronger force is the wall. It stops the truck but not the boxes, so they keep moving backward. Law 2: It takes more force to move a heavy object than to move a lighter object. Newton came up with a scientific formula to explain this: Force = Mass x Acceleration Large weights with a lot of mass require more force to lift than smaller, lighter weights do. Law 3: Forces always come in pairs. For every force, there is an equal force in the opposite direction. Air from an untied balloon rushes out in one direction. As the air escapes, it pushes the balloon in the opposite direction. 1.What is the “stronger force” mentioned in the example for Law 1? A. B. C. D. 2.According to Law 3, what should you do with your hands and feet if you want to swim forward? A.You must push the water forward. B.You must push the water backward. C.You must push the water to the left side. D.You must push the water downward to the bottom. 3.In which part of the magazine can we read the text? A.National News. B.Book Club. C.Science and Discovery. D.History and Culture. B Since the beginning of time, people have had illnesses and doctors have tried to treat them. In the days when people knew very little about medicine, some very strange and terrible treatments were tried. Here are some of the worst. Toothache Ancient Egyptians who had toothache didn’t use to go to the dentist because there weren’t any dentists in those days. So they used to find a dead mouse and put it in their mouth. They left it there for a few hours. Did it take the toothache away? Who knows? But aren’t you happy that there’s a dentist near you? Backache Backache is no fun at all—people who suffer from it have a lot of pain. Sometimes it’s because a bone in the back is out of position—that is, not in the place where it should be. In ancient Greece, doctors used to treat backache like this: they tied the patient to a ladder, pulled the ladder up high and then let it fall to the ground. Bang! The vertebra (脊椎) went back into place. Well, that was the idea, but this “treatment” probably just made the backache worse! Baldness OK, it’s not really a disease at all. But men whose hair is falling out are never happy about it, are they? The ancient Egyptians had a way. What did they use to do? They took the fat of a lion, a hippopotamus (河马), a cat and a snake, mixed them together—and then rubbed the mixture into the man’s head. Maybe it stopped baldness, maybe not—but the man’s head certainly didn’t smell too good after that! Scrofula The Middle Ages was a time when there was a common skin disease called scrofula. People who had scrofula could easily stop it—they just had to get the king or queen to touch them! 4.How did ancient Egyptians deal with a toothache? A.They went to the dentist at once. B.They put a dead mouse in their mouth. C.They rubbed animal fat on their teeth. D.They asked the king to touch their teeth. 5.In which sentence is “out of position” used in the same way? A.As a shy person, I felt out of position being the team leader. B.The main printer is out of position. Please use the one in the library. C.His joke about the serious topic was out of position and made everyone quiet. D.The X-ray showed one tooth was out of position, so I need to have it fixed. 6.Which picture is the way to treat baldness? A. B. C. D. 7.What is the best title of the passage? A.The Best Ways to Treat Illnesses B.The History of Medical Tools C.Strange Ancient Medical Treatments D.Famous Doctors in Ancient Times C Imagine mountains covered with silver water, shining in the spring sun. Summer sees the mountains turn bright green with growing rice. During autumn, these mountains are gold, while winter blankets them with white snow. These are the colours of the Longji Rice Terraces (梯田). These terraces were built by the local Zhuang and Yao people. Starting in the Yuan Dynasty, work on the terraces took hundreds of years and was finished in the early Qing Dynasty. So why did these people work so hard to turn the entire mountains into terraces? Firstly, there is little flat land for farming. Building terraces allows them to grow more rice. Secondly, although the area gets plenty of rain, the mountains are steep (陡峭的) and the soil is thin. The flat terraces help to catch the rainwater and prevent the soil from being washed away. To our surprise, the terraces show how people have worked in harmony with nature. The design is really clever. Hundreds of waterways are connected with each other. During the rainy season, rainwater moves along these waterways from the top of the mountains down to every terrace. The sun heats the water and turns it into vapour. This creates clouds and then brings rain back to the terraces. These terraces also provide a perfect home for birds and fish. Some of these animals eat insects that can harm the rice plants. Modern technology could help produce more rice, but the traditional ways are still very important to the local people. This knowledge is passed down through families, which means that new generations continue to use ancient methods of farming to maintain the terraces. Today, the Longji Rice Terraces attract thousands of visitors who come to admire this great wonder created by people and nature working together. 8.Which period shows when the Longji Rice Terraces were built? A.① B.② C.③ D.④ 9.Why did Zhuang and Yao people build the Longji Rice Terraces? ①To catch the birds and fish for food. ②To create more flat land for growing rice. ③To attract tourists and develop the economy. ④To prevent soil from being washed away by rain. A.①② B.①③ C.②④ D.③④ 10.According to Para.4, which picture best shows how vapour is made? A.B. C.D. 11.What can we learn from the last paragraph about the local people? A.They value their ancient farming knowledge. B.They want to replace the terraces with new farms. C.They depend only on tourists to maintain the terraces. D.They prefer modern technology to traditional methods. D Which do you prefer to use, a clothes dryer or a piece of clothesline? Actually, both of them can help you dry your clothes. But there is a war breaking out between clothes dryer supporters and clothesline supporter. Mike Reed, 37, is the kind of eco-conscious (有生态意识的) person who feeds his trees with bathwater and reuses water drops from his air conditioners to water plants. His family uses a clothesline. But on July 9, 2024, the HOA (房主协会) in Wake Forest, North Carolina, told him that a dissatisfied neighbour had telephoned them about his clothesline. The Reeds paid no attention to the warning and still dried their clothes on a line in the yard. “Many people say they are environmentally friendly but they do nothing to protect the environment. In fact, I think clothes dryer are a waste of energy and a main polluter of the environment,” says Reed. North Carolina lawmakers are also saying that it’s not right to prevent people from using clotheslines. But HOA and housing businesses believe that clotheslines are unpleasant to look at. What’s more, clothesline drying reminds people of poor neighbourhoods. They worry that if buyers think their future neighbours can’t even afford dryers, housing prices will fall. Environmentalists say such worries are not necessary, and in view of global warming, that idea needs to change. As they say, “The clothesline is beautiful. Hanging clothes outside should be encouraged. We all have to do at least something to slow down the process of global warming.” 12.How does the writer prove that Mike Reed is an eco-conscious person? A.By listing some numbers. B.By giving some examples. C.By asking some questions. D.By using the HOA’s words. 13.What can we say to the people described in the underlined sentence? A.Practice makes perfect. B.Better late than never, C.Where there is a will, there is a way. D.Actions speak louder than words. 14.Why do HOA and housing businesses prevent people using clotheslines? ① Clotheslines are not good-looking. ② Clotheslines may lead to global warming. ③ Clotheslines may cause a drop in housing prices. ④ Clotheslines are the main polluters of the environment. A.①② B.②③ C.①③ D.②④ 15.What is the best title for this passage? A.Views on Clotheslines. B.Clothes Drying Habits. C.Environmental Problems. D.Beautiful Neighbourhoods. 二、信息还原 Dorothy lived in a small house in Kansas, with Uncle Henry, Aunt Em, and a little black dog called Toto. Later she discovered two main ways of thinking: the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. (Chart I) When you have a growth mindset, you’re more likely (可能的) to take on challenges. Instead of shying away from hard tasks, you see them as chances to learn and grow. You understand that mistakes are a part of the journey, and they don’t stop you. In fact, you can use your mistakes to help you improve. On the other hand, people with a fixed mindset believe that their abilities are locked in place. They think that if they’re not good at something right away, they’ll never be good at it. This kind of thinking can hold them back, because they don’t see the value in putting in more effort or learning from their failures. Having a growth mindset helps you stay determined (下定决心的), even when things get hard. To develop a growth mindset, try to change how you talk to yourself. Instead of saying “I can’t do this,” say, “I can’t do this yet, but I’ll get better with practice.” This change in thinking can make challenges seem more exciting and help you keep growing. (Chart II) The monthly exam ended. Some students are talking about the exam online. Here are two blogs under the topic “# Preparing for zhongkao 2025”. Failed English again on the monthly exam. Maybe I’m just not cut out for this. What’s the point of trying harder? # frustrated # hopeless Didn’t do as well as I hoped on the monthly exam? But it was just one test. I’ll go over the mistakes. There’s still a long way to go until zhongkao! 41.How many ways of thinking are mentioned in the passage? 42.According to people with a fixed mindset, what is everything decided by? 43.What do hard tasks mean to people with a growth mindset? 44.Why can the fixed mindset hold people back? 45.In Chart II, who has a growth mindset?
