In winter, people usually wear a down (羽绒) jacket to keep warm. This is because it can keep air inside and hold your body heat. However, this year, some cities in China reported the making and selling of fake (假) down jackets, not real ones. So how to choose a down jacket?
1. Smell. A down jacket that smells bad has low-quality down.
3. Read the mark to check the weight of the filling and how many percent of it is down. With 50g to 150g filling, it's only good for temperatures at or above 0℃. With 150g to 250g, it's good for temperatures of 0℃ to —20℃. In cold weather below -20℃, the filling weight needs to reach 250g to 450g.
2. Touch. Press down on the down jacket and then let go. Warm down jackets always quickly go back to their shape.
45.What are mentioned to choose a down jacket in this passage?
A.①②③ B.②③④ C.①③④ D.①②④

Imagine you’re floating down a calm river in a boat. The water is peaceful, and you feel balanced and happy. You understand yourself and get along with others. You can go with the flow when things change. This is what scientists call the “river of happiness”. When you’re in this river, you’re healthy and feeling good.
But this river has two dangerous banks (岸). If you hit the bank of chaos, you’ll feel out of control. You might scream, cry or act without thinking. Nothing feels right.
If you went too close to the other side, you hit the bank of rigidity. Here, everything is stuck. You refuse to change or listen to others. You need to control everything and everyone around you. The water is dirty and smelly because nothing can move freely.
We all move between these two banks sometimes. The goal is to spend as much time as possible in the peaceful flow between them.
This doesn’t just happen to adults—kids have their own boats too! Many parenting challenges happen when children leave the flow and hit one of the banks.
For example, think about a three-year-old at the park. When he refuses to share his toy boat with a new friend, that’s rigidity. But when his friend takes the boat anyway, he blows up—screaming, crying, and throwing sand—that’s chaos. His negative feelings have completely taken over.
Older kids do this too. Imagine a fifth-grader who loses the lead role in a school play. She might cry (chaos) while insisting she has the best acting skill in the whole grade (rigidity). She’s moving between both banks!
When you see chaos or rigidity in yourself or your kids, it means someone’s brain isn’t working in a balanced way. The good news is that once you notice which bank they are moving toward, you can help guide them back into the calm flow of happiness.
48.How does the writer start the passage?
A.By listing some numbers. B.By comparing two things.
C.By building a picture in mind. D.By giving some suggestions.
49.In the three pictures, _____ shows being on the bank of “chaos”, and _____ shows “rigidity”.
A.③① B.③② C.①③ D.①②
50.What can be inferred from paragraph 6-7?
A.Only kids can have negative feelings. B.Playing a lead role can bring kids chaos.
C.Parents should keep kids away from rivers. D.One can experience both chaos and rigidity.
51.What’s the best title for the article?
A.A New Way to Live a Successful Life B.The Two Banks: Which One Is Better in Life?
C.The River of Happiness: Finding the Balance D.Understanding Your Kid’s Impolite Behaviors

Recently, a cinema in Hangzhou started a new service. It gives people a special right: if they don’t like the film they are watching, they can get some money back. People are calling it “the right to feel sorry” about a movie choice.
The service lasts for two months. Zhou Minghui works at the cinema. She said the way to get money back is very easy. If people watch a film for less than 20 minutes and don’t think it is good, they can tell the workers in the cinema. They just need to show their tickets and don’t have to give a long reason. The cinema will give back 40% of what they paid.
Why only 40% and not all the money? The cinema said there is a rule in the film business. About 60% of the ticket money belongs to the film makers and other cinema groups. This money pays for making the film, sending it to cinemas, and running the cinemas. The cinema itself can only decide what to do with a small part of the money. So they can’t give back all of it. The cinema also told people they must ask for the money back before they leave. If they walk out of the cinema, this rule won’t work.
This idea brings back a big discussion. In 2018, a film group made a rule about returning tickets. But that rule was mostly for before the film started. After a film begins, can people still get their money back? Some people say yes. They think a film is like other things you buy. If it is not good, you should be able to return it. But other people say it is hard to do. Everyone has different ideas about what makes a good film. So, what’s your idea?
52.How long does the new service last?
A.For one month. B.For two months.
C.For three months. D.For four months.
53.What is the correct order to get money back according to the passage?
①Show the ticket to workers.
②Get 40% of the money back.
③Buy a ticket.
④Watch for less than 20 minutes.
A.③④①② B.①④③② C.③①④② D.④③②①
54.If you buy a ticket for 50 yuan and ask for money back, how much can you get?
A.10 yuan. B.20 yuan. C.30 yuan. D.40 yuan.
55.When can’t people ask for the money back?
A.Before the film starts.
B.One day after watching.
C.Before they leave the cinema.
D.After they leave the cinema.

Have you ever felt like studying is a bit boring but watching someone else study makes you want to join in?
You’re not alone.
“Companion Study (陪伴学习)” is a kind of live streaming (直播) on the Internet. It often shows real-time scenes of someone studying, in silence or with soft music. A research from a recent education platform result showed that before exams, the number of users in “Companion Study” increased by over 200%. Another survey of more than 5,000 students found that most of them felt more encouraged to study after joining in online study.
And some students even reported that they actually studied for longer time each day.
The idea behind it is that watching someone else study encourages us to do the same. It creates a sense of companionship for the users and provides shared focus, a common experience and a feeling of togetherness.
Why is it so popular among students? Here are some comments (评论).
Huang Lijun: Having study friends helps me stick to my study plan instead of giving up halfway. Knowing I have to study with them makes me more likely to follow my plan. Even on days when I don’t feel like studying, I still don’t want to let them down.
Lena: When someone studies with me, it’s easier to stay focused on my work and not get distracted (分心的). Just seeing another person working hard next to me makes it harder to pick up my phone or daydream. Their focus helps keep my mind on my tasks, too.
Jimmy: For me, studying with someone feels less lonely. We can take short breaks together, like chatting with my online learning dazi. It helps me out when I come across difficulties. I can talk through a problem with a friend to make it easier to understand.
65.Is “Companion Study” a kind of live streaming on the Internet?
66.What’s the idea behind “Companion Study”?
67.According to the three students, how can “Companion Study” help them?

“Is Antarctica (南极洲) one of your vacation places?”
I travelled to the earth’s southernmost place by ship this winter vacation. The trip, however, turned out to be a great lesson about the Antarctic environment. On my way back, I couldn’t help asking myself, “How have I affected the Antarctic environment? Should I have even travelled to the continent?” Most travel comes with an environmental cost. Our guide told us that carbon (碳) footprints are left as the ships produce lots of greenhouse gases. In addition, the noise of ships passing through the ocean can cause serious harm to sea life.
When we travel from one place to another, seeds as well as bacteria (细菌) are spread. For Antarctica, it can be damaging. Tour operators try to prevent this problem by providing travelers with special boots (靴). Travelers must wear them whenever they leave their ships. Their outerwear must also be cleaned before it can be worn for landing. However, when they get hot while hiking, travelers may take off their outerwear and the other clothes they wear are not usually required to be cleaned.
The increase in tourism in Antarctica may also bring about some unknown risks. For example, since there is no native human population in Antarctica, the local animals are not used to sharing their homes with us. We may not be able to notice any problems now, but when we begin to see changes, it may already be too late.
It was truly wonderful to see the beauty of Antarctica with my own eyes. However, my trip did harm the Antarctic environment and wildlife. Before you decide to land on the continent, ask yourself, “What risk am I taking to this peaceful place? Is it really worth visiting?”
Antarctica is on many people’s travel lists. However, 74 comes with a high environmental cost. 75 by producing greenhouse gases and noise. Also, travelers can bring in non-native seeds and bacteria through 76 . To cut down both known and unknown risks, 77 .

The students themselves can also buy some books which they are interested in or best-selling books. Read in short periods: 15 minutes after getting to school, 15 minutes while waiting for friends, and 15 minutes before going to sleep. Then you can read books for about 5 hours every week in total. Talk about your reading with your family or friends. When you explain what you read, it helps you have new ideas and understand the story better. So start today and let books light up your world.

46.According to the passage, which down jacket is proper for the weather in the picture?

46.根据图片中北京的气温为“-5°C to -12°C”以及文章最后一段中“With 150g to 250g, it’s good for temperatures of 0°C to -20°C.”

【答案】48.C 49.A 50.D 51.C
【导语】本文通过“幸福之河”的比喻,描述了生活中的两种极端状态——混乱和僵化,并指出目标是保持在两者之间的平衡流动。
48.第一段通过描述“floating down a calm river in a boat...The water is peaceful, and you feel balanced and happy”的场景来引入话题,因此作者通过“在脑海中构建画面”来开篇。
49.图片③中孩子哭泣并大喊“I hate this drawing!”,符合“chaos”(混乱、失控)的描述;图片①中孩子双臂交叉,说“They’re wrong! I will not change my mind!”,固执拒绝变通,符合“rigidity”(僵化、固执)的描述;即③①。
C
【答案】52.B 53.A 54.B 55.D

55.文中提到“they must ask for the money back before they leave. If they walk out of the cinema, this rule won’t work”,说明离开电影院后就无法申请退款了。

59.Which of the following words can be best used to describe Gillian?
A.Hardworking and loyal. B.Generous and kind.
C.Creative and energetic. D.Serious and calm.
56.“Narrator”部分的第二段指出:“How should Gillian spend his money? He asks several friends, but doesn’t find the answer.”,说明Gillian不知道该怎么花这笔钱。
57.第一处谎言:Scene 1中Gillian告诉Miss Hayden “there was a mistake in the will: My dear old uncle left you a thousand dollars, not ten.”(实际遗嘱中Miss Hayden只得到十美元);第二处谎言:Scene 2中Gillian告诉Tolman “I lost the thousand dollars betting on a horse race.”(实际他把钱给了Miss Hayden)。共两处谎言。
58.Scene 2中,Gillian在Tolman准备读纸条时“quickly takes the note from the desk, then tears it into pieces”,是为了不让Tolman知道他实际把钱给了Miss Hayden,从而让Miss Hayden获得另外五万美元(遗嘱规定:若Gillian把钱给了不合适的人,五万美元给Miss Hayden)。
59.Gillian将一千美元给了Miss Hayden,并牺牲自己获得五万美元的机会,体现了他慷慨善良的品质。

Every weekend, I learn to cook simple dishes like eggs and vegetables. I wash vegetables, cut them carefully and cook with my parents. At first, I often made mistakes, but now I can cook well.
Through cooking, I master important life skills and learn to value food more. I also understand how hard my parents work every day. I feel proud and thankful. Labor is really educational.
