In ancient times, people had no money at all. To get necessary food and clothes, they used the barter system (物物交换制度). This means people exchanged their own goods for others’ things. However, this way was not convenient. It always took people lots of time to find the right trading partners.

On Monday, I stopped my car in front of my daughter Juliet’s middle school. She jumped in the front seat, feeling down. She asked me to help with her study for her science test.

On Monday, I stopped my car in front of my daughter Juliet’s middle school. She jumped in the front seat, feeling down. She asked me to help with her study for her science test.
