Passage 1
(2026·贵州铜仁·一模)①Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way we learn. For many junior high school students, AI tools have become part of daily study. Apps like AI homework helpers, vocabulary learning robots and grammar checkers are widely used.
②Some students say AI makes learning easier. For example, when they meet difficult math problems, they can take a photo and get step—by—step explanations in seconds. AI vocabulary apps can make personalized study plans based on their weak points, helping them remember words faster. Some students also use AI to practice spoken English—they talk to AI chat tools and get immediate feedback on pronunciation.
③However, not everyone thinks AI is good for learning. Some teachers worry that students may depend too much on AI and lose the ability to think on their own. If students just copy AI answers without understanding them, they will not make real progress. Also, overusing electronic devices with AI may hurt students’ eyesight and take up too much of their free time.
④Schools are trying to find a balance. Some teachers ask students to use AI to find information, but then write reports in their own words. Others encourage students to use AI to check mistakes, but not to get final answers. Many schools also set rules for using AI in class to make sure it helps instead of harming learning.
⑤As AI develops, it will continue to influence education. The key is to use it wisely—let AI be a helper, not a replacement for independent thinking and hard work.
1.According to the passage, how do some students use AI to practice English?
A.By using AI to make vocabulary plans.
B.By asking AI to write English reports for them.
C.By talking to AI chat tools for pronunciation feedback.
2.What does the word “it” in the last paragraph refer to?
A.AI. B.The key. C.Education.
3.What can we infer from the passage about using AI in learning?
A.All students prefer using AI to learn English.
B.AI can completely replace teachers in the future.
C.Students may become lazy in thinking if they overuse AI.
4.What’s the structure of the passage above?
A. B. C.
Passage 2
(2026·贵州遵义·一模)A new study suggests that AI could speed up the grading process for teachers, but it may give up some correctness in the process.
The study explored how Large Language Models (LLM) grade students’ work compared to humans. For the study, one question asked students to explain what happens to molecules (分子) when heat energy is passed to them. A correct answer would explain that molecules move slower in cold conditions and faster when heated. An LLM called Mixtral then created its own grading rules to judge the answers and give final scores.
The results showed that the AI’s grading rules had some similarities with those made by teachers. The model could tell what the question was asking, but it didn’t have the ability to reason like humans do. Instead, it depended mostly on quick ways, jumping to conclusions based on limited (有限的) information. For example, if a student used words like “temperature rise”, the AI might think they understood that molecules move faster when heated, even if their explanation was unclear or incomplete.
Even though AI can grade much more quickly, the researchers advise against fully replacing human graders. Teacher-made grading rules are usually clearer. Without these, the AI’s accuracy (准确性) was only 33.5%. But when it used grading rules created by teachers, its accuracy improved to just over 50%.
Though AI still has a long way to go, the study suggests it could one day help teachers with grading tasks — especially if its accuracy continues to improve. For now, human judgment is still important in the classroom.
1.Which statement is TRUE according to the text?
A.AI can grade more quickly without teacher-made grading rules.
B.AI’s grading rules are totally different from those made by teachers.
C.Mixtral’s grading accuracy can be improved with teacher-made grading rules.
2.Which sentence uses “reason” with the same meaning as the underlined “reason” in the text?
A.Only human beings have reason.
B.Please tell me the reason for your being late.
C.It’s important for students to reason and think independently.
3.What is the writer’s attitude towards AI helping with grading tasks?
A.Hopeful. B.Doubtful. C.Worried.
4.How is the text mainly organized?
A.By comparing numbers to show the main idea.
B.By showing a study and discussing its findings.
C.By describing a problem and then offering solutions.

Passage 1
(2026·贵州遵义·一模)Humans have long tried to predict the weather. From the hunters of ancient times to today’s pilots, predicting rain or sunshine can shape people’s life and make a difference.
In 650 BC, the Babylonians tried to predict the weather based on the appearance of clouds. Around 340 BC, Aristotle (亚里士多德), a famous Greek thinker and scientist, wrote a book. It introduced the types of weather, such as rain, wind and lightning. Aristotle believed that there was water, air and fire around the earth. It was almost 2,000 years before his ideas were replaced by new ones.
People used lots of ways to predict the weather over the centuries. You might have learned the expressions like “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight”, which means that a red sky in the evening is followed by good weather. This has a basis in science, as does telling wind direction through smoke from the fire. On the other hand, some thought that if sheep crowded together, it meant rain. But there isn’t any science behind it.
The science of weather prediction really took off in the 1830s with the invention of the telegraph (电报机). It sent messages over hundreds of thousands of miles, so weather maps were drawn up and storm systems were studied. The next big step came in the 1920s with the invention of the “radiosonde”, a balloon carrying weather instruments high above the ground to collect information. Experts took the information and built a picture of the weather over the following few days.
Today, supercomputers are used to take data (数据) from the world and process it very fast to work out the weather. For example, they once helped predict where Hurricane Lee, which hit the US and Canada, would land nine days in advance (提前).
1.What can we know from Paragraph 2?
A.Aristotle wrote a book about weather.
B.Greeks predicted weather by watching clouds.
C.Aristotle’s ideas were replaced by Babylonians’.
2.What do the words “sailor’s delight” suggest in Paragraph 3?
A.A storm will arrive soon.
B.Good weather is coming.
C.Sailors are good at swimming.
3.Why is Hurricane Lee mentioned in the last paragraph?
A.To suggest that nature is hard to control.
B.To show the progress in weather forecast.
C.To introduce disasters in the US and Canada.
4.How is the text organized?
A.In order of time. B.In order of space. C.In order of importance.
Passage 2
(2026·贵州黔南·一模)
Thanks to technology, the way we communicate with others has greatly changed. How do you feel about it? Would you prefer to live in a world with or without mobile phones?
I ordered some snacks on my phone the other afternoon. Once I got home from work that evening, I saw they were already at my door. So prompt! Have you ever thought about how people in the past communicated and did things without mobile phones? Take the post for example. Before phones, if you wanted to keep in touch with someone far away, you needed to send them a letter in the mail. When my mom was in primary school, she used to do this with her “pen pal”. A pen pal is a name for a person you keep in touch with mainly through postal mail. My mom would write to her pen pal every few months, and then, after a little while, her pen pal would write back. Later, once email became a common thing, sending letters by post felt so slow to people. It became known as “snail mail”!
What if you were at an airport in the time before mobile phones? My dad said that in the 1970s, there used to be message boards at some airports. If you needed to exit (离开) the airport and wanted to leave a message for a friend who would be arriving later, you could write them a message and stick it on the message board. Then, your friend could go check the board later and see what you wrote to them!
1.What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 1 refer to?
A.The convenience of using mobile phones in daily life.
B.The influence of mobile phones on the way people communicate.
C.The great changes in ways of communication are caused by technology.
2.Why does the writer use “snail mail” in Paragraph 2?
A.To make fun of people still sending letters.
B.To say that postal mail was very slow.
C.To say that email was a common thing.
3.Where could people leave messages at some airports in the 1970s?
A.On the message boards. B.At the information desk. C.On the door of the exit.
4.What is the story mainly about?
A.How fast it is to buy things nowadays.
B.How people kept in touch before.
C.The importance of communication.
Passage 3
(2026·贵州黔南·一模)
①Have you ever imagined baking chicken in space? What do the freshly-made chicken wings taste like there? In November 2025, astronauts aboard China’s Tiangong space station made history by baking chicken wings in space. This was not just reheating food, it was real cooking. How could they make it?
②A special hot-air oven was the key. This oven is a big step forward in improving astronauts’ lives. Astronauts have already tried baking popular dishes like “Orleans-style” chicken wings and black pepper beef steak.
③But cooking in space is very difficult. The first problem is heat. On earth, hot air is light and rises. This helps ovens bake food. But in space, there is zero gravity (重力). Hot air does not rise. It just stays near the heater. This makes cooking very slow. The second problem is smoke and oil, which are called “invisible (隐形的) killer”. When cooking, small particles (颗粒) of oil and smoke go into the air. With no gravity, they will stay in the air instead of falling. Thus, they are harmful for the astronauts’ health.
④So, Chinese engineers built a “magic oven”. It has a fan (风扇) inside which forces the hot air to move around just like on earth. Another amazing fact is that the oven has a special kitchen hood (抽油烟机) built inside. When astronauts cook, smoke and oil particles stay in the air. This hood quickly catches all of them, cleans the air and lets only fresh air out. Also, a special ovenware (烤盘) can hold the food in place to prevent it from flying away. In addition, a special box inside is used to collect the waste when baking. All of the above are homegrown “black tech”.
⑤Before this invention, most space food products were pre-cooked and ready-to-eat, with limited choices in taste and texture. Thanks to the oven, the astronauts’ menu has been enriched to over 190 types of food. The new oven is only part of China’s continuous efforts to improve astronauts’ lives in space. Also, the “space garden” on board is amazing. Astronauts have successfully grown fresh vegetables such as lettuce and cherry tomatoes, adding more fresh ingredients to their meals.
⑥“When astronauts stay in space for months, enjoying self-baked food not only satisfies their taste buds but also brings great comfort.” Liu Weibo, an expert in space life support technology said.
1.What is the key to astronauts cooking chicken wings in space?
A.A special hot-air oven. B.Pre-cooked food materials. C.A big fan inside the oven.
2.Why is smoke and oil called the “invisible killer” in space cooking?
A.They are hard to collect with the special ovenware in space.
B.They can make the hot air in the oven stop moving around.
C.They will stay in the air and harm astronauts’ health without gravity.
3.Which of the following matches the picture with the correct description (描述) in Paragraph④?
A. B. C.
4.Which of the following shows the structure of this passage?
A. B. C.

Passage 1
(2026·贵州遵义·一模)When was the last time you used cash? For many of us, it feels like ages. Have you ever looked carefully at RMB notes?
Today, we pay for most of things with the phone. Banknotes (纸币) seem to have disappeared, but they mean much more than that. Instead, they offer valuable windows into Chinese culture. Take the ¥ 100 note for example. Its background pattern looks very similar to a phoenix design on a piece of Warring States Period lacquerware (漆器)!
In fact, China was one of the first countries in the world to use paper money. During the Song dynasty, people began to use notes such as jiaozi. They had detailed designs, including dragons and phoenixes. Besides being beautiful, this made it hard to make fake (虚假的) money.
Today, each RMB note has a flower that plays an important role in Chinese culture. For instance, the ¥ 50 note bears the chrysanthemum. This flower often carries the meaning of the hermit, especially because of Tao Yuanming, the poet who wrote the famous line “Plucking chrysanthemums by the eastern fence.”
Another great example is the plum blossom on the ¥ 100 note. This flower blooms in the cold of winter, so it often stands for strength, hope, and courage. It’s probably the most celebrated flower in our culture and has appeared in more poems than one can count since ancient times.
RMB notes carry a cultural weight far heavier than the numbers printed on them!
1.What can we infer from the text about RMB notes?
A.Different notes have different designs.
B.They are no longer used in our daily life.
C.They were first used in the Warring States Period.
2.What does the underlined word “this” refer to?
A.The invention of jiaozi.
B.The beauty of the notes.
C.The detailed designs on notes.
3.What is the purpose of the text?
A.To show cultural values behind RMB banknotes.
B.To introduce the history of Chinese paper money.
C.To call on people to use cash as often as possible.
4.Which of the following is the best title for the text?
A.RMB Notes: More Than Just Money
B.Banknotes: Disappearance in the Digital Age
C.Flowers on RMB Notes: Their Cultural Meanings

Passage 1
(2026·贵州铜仁·一模)
The drama Born to Be Alive brings us to a mysterious world. However, the show is just a window. Outside the window is the real Sanjiangyuan. It is not only the source region of the Yangtze, Yellow, and Lancang rivers, but also the home of the brave guardians (守护者).
Located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Hoh Xil is a mysterious part of the Sanjiangyuan area. With an altitude (海拔) of over 4,600 meters, Hoh Xil has thin air, and the wind cuts like a knife. Many years ago, the beautiful land faced a dark time. Thousands of Tibetan antelopes (藏羚羊) were hunted for their wool. The land, once peaceful, was covered with blood. As a result, they almost disappeared from the earth.
To stop the killing, a group of heroes stood up. They are the real-life models for the characters in the drama. One of them was Jetsun Dargye. In the 1990s, with old tools and little food, he and his team fought against cruel hunters in the freezing wild. In a final battle, he was shot but refused to fall. He froze into a statue (雕像) in the snow, holding his gun to protect the land. His death woke up the whole nation. In 1997, Hoh Xil was upgraded to a national nature reserve.
Thanks to these efforts, the antelopes run free again. In the main area of Hoh Xil, the population of Tibetan antelopes has risen from less than 20,000 to over 70,000. The guardians used their lives to teach us a lesson: The “Tree of Life” does not grow on soil alone. It grows on the courage to protect and the wisdom to coexist (共存). Protecting nature is, indeed, protecting ourselves.
1.Why did thousands of Tibetan antelopes almost disappear many years ago?
A.Because the air was very thin.
B.Because they were hunted for their wool.
C.Because the wind was very strong and cold.
2.What did Jetsun Dargye and his team do to protect the antelopes?
A.They built many nature reserves.
B.They fought against cruel hunters.
C.They raised more Tibetan antelopes.
3.What can we learn about Tibetan antelopes in Hoh Xil now?
A.They still live in great danger.
B.Their number has become smaller.
C.Their population has increased greatly.
4.What is the writer’s purpose in writing the text?
A.To tell us to protect nature and animals.
B.To ask us to watch the drama Born to Be Alive.
C.To show how hard life is on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Passage 1
(2026·贵州·一模)Chinese chess, also known as xiangqi, is a traditional board game that has been enjoyed for centuries. It is a two-player game played on a board. It is believed that xiangqi first appeared in the Warring States Period (战国时期). It was developed rapidly during the Song Dynasty. And lots of people played xiangqi during the Ming Dynasty.
Chinese chess is played with “red” and “black” pieces. The two players take turns moving their pieces across the board, and the player holding the red pieces goes first. Both players take turns to make one move each time until a winner is decided. The shuai or jiang is the most important of both sides, and the side whose shuai or jiang is taken fails the game. But it’s not easy to play it well.
In all ages, there are always some excellent people who can play xiangqi well. Hu Ronghua, a great master in modern China, is one of them. He was born in Shanghai in 1945, and he won the national championship in 2000. He said his understanding of “the characteristics of a good chess player” is to appreciate (欣赏) the one playing against you, to compete with all one’s strength during the game and to be good friends after the game. In the game, it’s easy to find appreciation for each other.

Passage 1
(2026·贵州遵义·一模)
Snow forests make up about 30% of the world’s total forest area. These wonderful woodlands are not as famous as the Amazon or other rain forests, but they are important.
Snow forests are known as taiga (针叶林) forests. They can be found in the far north of the world. The northern areas are quite cold and usually have heavy snowfall. Snow forests lie across parts of Canada, China, Finland, Japan, Norway, Russia, Sweden and the US. Snow forests spread for thousands of miles and cover about 17% of the earth’s total land area.
There are a large number of animals in snow forests. Animals that live in the snow forests include foxes, hares, mice, moose and wolves. In the US and Canada, more than five billion birds live in the forests in the breeding (繁殖) season.
Snow forests are facing some serious problems. Trees are being cut down for their wood, which can be used for building. Some forests are being cleared to make space for new roads and houses. In more southern snow forest areas, 1% of the land is being cleared of trees each year. Coal mining (煤矿), oil and gas industries are growing in the forests. These actions destroy the wildlife. As the world gets warmer, the risk of fires in snow forests appears. In recent years, Canada and Russia have seen very bad fires spread through the forests.
Environmental and wildlife groups around the world are working hard to make snow forests become protected areas. For example, cutting down trees is stopped or controlled in some areas. When wood is needed, replanting plans and careful forest management help to reduce the bad influence. The forests are managed in a way that they can live and regrow.
1.What is the main function of Paragraph 2?
A.To describe the animals living in snow forests.
B.To explain where snow forests are located and how large they are.
C.To show the problems snow forests are facing.

B.There are fewer and fewer trees
C.They become the homes of scientists
3.The writer shows people’s efforts to protect snow forests in Paragraph 5 by ________.
A.asking a question B.telling a story C.giving an example
4.What’s the purpose of the passage?
A.To show how important snow forests are.
B.To introduce how environmental and wildlife groups work.
C.To explain why snow forests are in the far north of the world.

Passage 1
(2026·贵州毕节·一模)
①Take a look at the two shapes in the picture. Which one do you think is “kiki” and which one is “bouba”? This is part of a famous bouba-kiki experiment done in both America and India.
②In the experiment, people were shown two drawings. One had a rounded shape, and the other had a star-like shape. People had to name each of them with “bouba” or “kiki”. Neither of these words was a real word in any language and had no meaning. However, 95% of people decided the rounded one was “bouba”, and the star-like one was “kiki”.
③The experiment shows our brains seem to connect sounds with shapes. The researchers believe the results have something to do with the mouth shapes we make when we say these words. Pronouncing “bouba” requires the mouth to make a rounded shape. Other examples of “rounded” sounds are oo in “room” and o in “wrote”. An unrounded mouth shape is needed to make the sound of “kiki”. “Unrounded” sounds require the lips (嘴唇) to be spread apart, like ee in “peek” or a in “had”.
④Another explanation is that letters such as k or t are thought to have unrounded sounds because of their sharp shapes. Letters like b or g have rounded shapes, so they are considered to have rounded and soft sounds.
⑤Understanding the bouba-kiki effect can lead to its possible use in fields like branding (品牌) and communication. For example, if a toy brand wants to show its softness and friendliness, it may follow the “bouba” effect and choose rounded shapes for the logo and rounded sounds for product names. Similarly, a technology company may turn to the “kiki” effect to show its sharpness and power. So next time you want to design a logo for a school event or name a product, consider whether it feels more like “bouba” or “kiki”!
1.How does the writer begin the text?
A.By listing numbers. B.By giving examples. C.By asking a question.
2.According to the text, what can you learn about the bouba-kiki experiment?
A.It shows connections between shapes and sounds.
B.“Bouba” and “kiki” come from Indian languages.
C.Most people connect “bouba” with star-like things.
3.Which brand best shows the “kiki” effect?
A.Loops. B.Wubbo. C.Teeki.
4.What is the correct structure of the text? (P1= Paragraph 1)
A. B. C.

Passage 1
(2026·贵州遵义·一模)Language and history have shaped the way different people look at numbers. Because of this, numbers have taken on special meanings in different cultures. Here are some of the most popular beliefs about numbers in Western countries.
Many people in the West believe the saying that “all good things come in threes.” This is especially true in Sweden, where people consider the number 3 a very lucky number. The best-known example is Sweden’s national emblem (国徽), which has three crowns (王冠). This gives the number 3 a sense of importance.
The number 7 is also thought to be lucky in many Western countries. This belief is related to the creation story that the world was created in seven days. It can also be shown through the 7 wonders of the world and the Seven Classical Planets.
However, the number 13 is considered an unlucky number in many Western countries. This fear comes from its association with many sad events in Western history.
Italians believe that 17 is an unlucky number, because it is written as XVII in Roman numerals (罗马数字). When you reorder the numbers, you get VIXI. This is a Latin term which means “I once lived.” It often appears on tombstones (墓碑) !
In short, numbers are for more than just counting. Their meanings around the world offer a great window into different cultures and their histories.
1.Why does the writer mention the three crowns in Paragraph 2?
A.To compare cultures in different countries.
B.To show the number 3 is important in Sweden.
C.To explain why all good things come in threes.
2.Which number is considered unlucky in many Western countries?
A.3 B.7 C.13
3.What can we infer from the underlined sentence “I once lived” in Paragraph 5?
A.Italians once lived a very hard and short life in history.
B.The number 17 is connected with death in Italian culture.
C.Romans used Latin to write on tombstones long time ago.
4.Which of the following could be the best title for the text?
A.Lucky Numbers in Western Countries
B.Special Meanings of Numbers in the West
C.The History of Numbers in Western Cultures
Passage 2
(2026·贵州毕节·一模)
In a well-decorated music studio, posters of the film Ne Zha 2 on the walls, two large screens sit on a large desk. It’s here that Tang Hanxiao, an experienced singer and composer (作曲家), wrote the theme song Jiushi Ne Zha (It is Ne Zha) for the film.
In the summer of 2024, Tang was asked to make up the music for the film. As the making of the film was not finished, he was given only the plots (情节) and allowed to watch the last two minutes of the film, where Ne Zha tells Ao Bing that he has decided to continue his fight. “This scene gave me a picture of the whole film and allowed me to feel the energy of the role. Everything about the song begins with this scene,” says Tang.
For Tang, the creation of the song was a deeply personal journey — one that used music to connect with and show the personalities of the roles. Tang says the suona, an instrument known for its exciting and powerful sound, is a symbol of the courage to challenge society bias (偏见), making it a perfect match for Ne Zha’s brave and rebellious (叛逆的) nature. As a result, it became the driving force behind the song.
“Making art is like dreaming. You can shape a world of your own,” Tang says. “When I connected with Ne Zha, there was a moment I really felt like I was him. That feeling gave power to the song.”
As a result of the film’s popularity, the song has become one of the most listened-to on major social platforms (平台). In just three weeks, the song has got 3 million views on the video-sharing platform Bilibili and received more than 50,000 comments on QQ Music.
1.What is the purpose of Paragraph 1?
A.To advertise a new film.
B.To introduce a composer.

Passage 3
(2026·贵州铜仁·一模)
We are all familiar with banks where we save money, but have you ever heard of a “Food Bank”? In Shenzhen’s Futian District, you will find smart boxes that look like package lockers. They provide free, fresh food day and night to those in need.
Starting in May 2022, the project has been a team effort involving the government, companies and social organizations. To date, 22 smart boxes across Futian’s 10 streets are filled with various safe foods.
Just like a traditional bank, this system relies on “deposits (存入)” and “withdrawals (取出)”. The “deposits” come from 87 partner enterprises which donate (捐赠) extra or soon-to-expire (临期的) items. A touching example is the “veteran steamed buns”—funded and handmade by a retired soldier using his pension (养老金), which have become a local favorite.
The “withdrawals”, however, work differently. The owners don’t take the food back. It is offered to the vulnerable. First, the food is saved for low-income families, the disabled and street cleaning workers via the “iShenzhen” App before 8 p.m. To reduce waste, the leftover (余下的) food is open to everyone after 8 p.m.
Safety is the top concern. The food bank follows strict rules: boxes are kept at a low temperature, all food sources are known and officials do regular checks.
By December 2025, the project had helped 484,000 people, saving 195 tons of food from waste and reducing carbon emissions by 390 tons. These food banks help people in more ways. They bring people together and help protect the environment. They are a shining model of Shenzhen’s creative and kind urban (城市的) care.
1.What does the underlined word “they” in Paragraph 1 refer to?
A.Traditional banks. B.Smart boxes. C.Package lockers.
2.What can we know from Paragraph 4?
A.People can get leftover food after 8 p.m.
B.The owners will take the food back at night.
C.All the food is for restaurants and companies.
3.Which of the following measures are mentioned to ensure food safety?
①Keeping boxes at a low temperature.
②Knowing where all food comes from.
③Asking the owners to take the food back.
④Having officials do regular checks.
⑤Cooking the food in the smart boxes.
A.①③⑤ B.①②④ C.②③⑤
4.Which can be the best title for the text?
A.Ways to help poor families
B.Ways to keep food fresh and safe
C.A model of urban care—Food Bank

【答案】1.C 2.C 3.A 4.B
【导语】本文主要探讨了人工智能(AI)在教师批改作业中的应用潜力与局限性。
1.第四段提到“Without these, the AI’s accuracy was only 33.5%. But when it used grading rules created by teachers, its accuracy improved to just over 50%”,说明没有老师的规则时AI准确率只有33.5%,用了老师制定的规则后准确率提升到50%以上,所以Mixtral的评分准确性可以通过教师制定的评分规则来提高。
2.不定式符号to后接动词原形,说明原文划线的reason是动词,意思是“推理,思考”。A选项中reason是名词,表示“理性”;B选项中reason是名词,表示“原因”;C选项中reason是动词,表示“推理,思考”,和原文词义相同。
3.最后一段明确提到“Though AI still has a long way to go, the study suggests it could one day help teachers with grading tasks”,说明虽然AI还有不足,但终有一天可以帮助老师完成评分任务,可见作者对AI辅助评分是抱有希望的。
4.文章开篇引出一项新研究,之后介绍研究过程,再分析讨论研究发现,最后给出结论,结构是“展示研究+讨论发现”。

A. B. C.
【答案】1.A 2.C 3.C 4.B

【答案】1.A 2.C 3.A 4.A
2.根据划线词所在句:“They had detailed designs, including dragons and phoenixes. Besides being beautiful, this made it hard to make fake money.”,this指代前文提到的纸币上的精细设计,正是这些细节让纸币难以伪造。
3.文章第二段就提出:“Instead, they offer valuable windows into Chinese culture.”,结尾再次点题“RMB notes carry a cultural weight far heavier than the numbers printed on them!”,全文围绕人民币背后的文化价值展开,因此A选项正确。
4.文章最后一段点明:“RMB notes carry a cultural weight far heavier than the numbers printed on them!”,说明人民币不只是钱,更承载着文化内涵。

【答案】1.B 2.B 3.C 4.A

A.To describe the animals living in snow forests.
B.To explain where snow forests are located and how large they are.
C.To show the problems snow forests are facing.
2.What is one of the serious problems in snow forests?

B.There are fewer and fewer trees
C.They become the homes of scientists
3.The writer shows people’s efforts to protect snow forests in Paragraph 5 by ________.
A.asking a question B.telling a story C.giving an example

A. B. C.
【答案】1.C 2.A 3.C 4.A
【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了著名的bouba-kiki实验,该实验揭示了人类大脑会将声音与形状建立关联的现象,分析了其背后的原理,并说明了该效应在品牌、设计等领域的实际应用。

2.第三段明确指出“The experiment shows our brains seem to connect sounds with shapes.”,直接说明该实验展示了形状与声音之间的关联,对应选项A。

3.第五段指出“Italians believe that 17 is an unlucky number, because it is written as XVII in Roman numerals (罗马数字). When you reorder the numbers, you get VIXI.”意大利人认为17不吉利,因为罗马数字XVII 重排后是VIXI,这个拉丁语的意思是“I once lived”,且常出现在墓碑上。由此可推断,17在意大利文化中与死亡相关。
4.文章首段点明主题“numbers have taken on special meanings in different cultures. Here are some of the most popular beliefs about numbers in Western countries.”全文围绕西方数字的特殊含义展开,既包含幸运数字也包含不幸运数字。

The football players come from different backgrounds. They are sellers, drivers, students, workers, etc. They come from different ethnic (民族 的) groups, such as Miao, Dong, shui, Han and yao. Their ages are from 15 to over 40 years old. But when they put on their team uniforms and walk onto the field, they fight for their common love—football.
