教学目标
1. 语言能力:掌握 depth, dive, research, vessel, unusual, blind, bottom 等核心词汇;能听懂深海探索对话并完成标注、勾选、填空等听力任务;能用目标语言描述深海特征、中国深潜成就及海洋保护相关内容。
2. 文化意识:了解深海自然奇观,认识 “奋斗者号” 大国重器,增强民族自豪感;树立海洋保护意识,认同 “保护海洋就是保护生命” 的生态理念。
3. 思维品质:通过听力任务培养信息筛选、归纳与推理能力;在访谈活动中发展提问、质疑、表达观点的批判性与创新性思维。
4. 学习能力:掌握听前预测、听中抓关键词、听后复述等听力策略;在小组合作中提升沟通、协作与公众展示能力。
教学重难点
重点:掌握深海主题核心词汇与重点句型;完成 2a–2d 听力任务,理解对话事实信息。
难点:准确抓取长对话中的数字、特征与观点细节;以 “记者 + 研究员” 形式完成真实情境口语输出,提出有思维深度的探究问题。
学情分析
八年级学生具备基础英语听说能力,对自然、探险、科技类主题兴趣浓厚,课堂参与意愿强。但在听力信息加工、长句连贯表达、专业词汇运用上仍存在困难;部分学生性格内向,口语表达不够自信。本课以情境化任务链为主线,借助图表、视频、角色扮演等方式降低学习难度,实施分层指导,让每位学生都能参与并获得成就感。
教学准备
多媒体 PPT、深海实景图片、“奋斗者号” 短视频、听力音频、角色卡片、学习任务单、课堂评价量表。

Step1.
Lead-in
(3 mins)
1.T shows the goals of this lesson. Make sure Ss can understand them. Ss try to understand the aims of the lesson.
T:We are going to continue the Nature Exploration Journey. Today, we will experience the deep sea. There are some tasks waiting for us. After you finish the tasks, you’ll get a medal.
2.Ask students: What do you know about deep sea? Play a video about Fendouzhe. Let students follow it to explore deep sea.
自评、师评。教师观察学生是否进入学习状态。
Step2.
Learn and understand(10 mins)
1.Present the "Ocean Depths" diagram. And ask students to match the labels A, B, C, D with the correct depths on the left. Then check answers.
2.Ask students to listen and tick the topics.
3Ask students to pay attention to some words.
4.Ask students to listen again and complete the sentences with the facts from the conversation.
5.Check answers and clarify key words.
自评、师评。观察学生能否正确配对,会读会认相关词汇,是否能说出一些深海相关的话题内容。
观察学生能否准确勾选听力话题,判断学生对话题词汇表达的掌握情况。
Step3.
Apply and practice(10mins)
Show the questions about the deep sea. Ask students to work in pairs and think of more questions that they would like to ask researcher. Then practice asking and answering. Provide sentence patterns and vocabulary support.
观察学生能否讨论并展示的关于深海探索的核心问题。
两人结对时,能否共同构思出更多想要向深海研究员请教的问题。
进行问答角色扮演练习中,能否使用所给的句型和词汇进行表达。
Step4.
Transfer and create(10 mins)
Deep-sea Scientist Talk Show
Work in groups of 4. Two of the students are TV reporters, the other two are deep-sea researchers. Reporters need to write down 3 questions. Researchers need to prepare answers.
师评、互评,教师倾听学生对话的准确及流利度,观察能否积极参与小组合作,及时提供帮助。

Summary
(2 mins)
With T’s help, Ss have a conclusion about what they’ve learned this lesson, then watch the video and get the importance of protecting the water.
